When my alarm went off the next morning it took me a few minutes to untangle my limbs from Sebastian's.
Once I was free I got in the shower before dressing in athletic shorts a sports bra and my trainers.
I put my hair into a ponytail and went down stairs where I found Cory waiting.
"Ready?" He asked seemingly in a good mood
"Yup" I said and together we made our way to the field
We started with a mile warm up before he let me go at the obstacle course. I did a little better than yesterday but nothing noteworthy. After that we did cardio and to my surprise he got me started with the basics in hand to hand combat and self defense. I knew basically everything he was explaining due to the self defense classes Emily and I took a few years ago.
Near the send of our session he let me fight a beginning warrior around my age. I could tell she was nervous and did my best to ease her worries by talking to her but it didn't do much.
"Attack!" Cory said
She punched me directly in my jaw as soon as the words left his mouth leaving no time for my defense. I snapped out of my shocked stayed focusing on her movements.
She threw a few punches and I was able to either dodge or deflect each of them. I noticed that she took a step before ever punch and caught her rhythm kicking her right leg causing her to lose her balance and tumble to the ground hard.
I winced at her landing not meaning for her to land that hard. I pinned her before she could get up and looked at Cory.
He nodded signaling the fight was over and I got off of her helping her up.
"An honor princes" she said bowing before practically running out of the ring
"Alright Rose that's it next session is Monday enjoy your weekend" he said
I nodded telling him to do the same before going back to the house and up to my room.
I looked at the time and saw it was only 7:00. I took another shower before getting dressed in a pink and white summer dress. I put my Luna bracelet back on and as I walked out Sebastian was just waking up.
"Morning babe" I said applying a bit of makeup
"Good morning, you look nice going anywhere special?" He teased
"Of course I'm meeting the pack today!" I said excitedly
"Oh was that today I must've forgotten" he said
"Hurry up and get dressed breakfast is in 20 minutes" I said
He was ready in 15 and we walked down to the living room which was packed with Alphas Luna's my family and my friends.
"Amber how was your night?" Kaylen asked wiggling her eyebrows
"Should we be asking Erica that?" I asked raising my eyebrow and looking at the closet
The Luna's laughed while everyone else looked at us confused.
"I take it you ladies had a good time last night?" My mother asked
We all nodded
"What are those?" Elijah asked gesturing to our wrists
We all looked down to see them glowing in the daylight.
"We made Luna bracelets" Alice said
"Are those pack stones?" Emily asked
We all nodded again "they're going to love it" Sebastian said
"I hope so" I said
Before anyone could ask my mother began talking "Amber I need you after breakfast" she said
"Sorry Mom I'm booked for the day" I said
"With who the Luna's?" Emily asked with an attitude
"Uh no Em I'm meeting the pack today" I said
She rolled her eyes walking out of the room.
"What'd I do?" I asked Sebastian
He shrugged "just let her calm down" he said
I nodded turning back to my mom "I can stop by tomorrow"
She nodded and we all went into the dining room for breakfast. We sat down and we're served with full plates of anything you could want for breakfast.
We all ate while the guys filled my parents in on our swimming party stunt and they all scolded us. They left out the part about me using my blue bubble leading me to believe I imagined it.
"Anything from Bri today?" My mom asked
"No, anything from your wolf?" I asked casually
"Amber there's no need for that it was an honest question" my dad said
I maintained my composure in front of the Alphas but on the inside I was fuming.
Do they not understand that you're the same you? Bri asked
'I guess not since their acting like we're Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' I said back
I'm sorry this is all my fault, I tried to help but I just made everything worse she said guilty
'It's alright Bri I have a feeling all of this isn't about your appearance yesterday' I said eying Emily
I felt Sebastian lay his hand on my thing causing me to pay attention again.
"Ready?" He asked
"Yeah" I said realizing I had been eating the entire time and was now full.
"Amber a word?" My aunt said standing
I walked out of the room with her and she frowned at me.
"Amber what are you doing?" She asked
"Uh nothing?" I said confused
"Why are you ignoring your friends? Is it because of those Luna's?" She asked
"I'm not ignoring them" I said shaking my head "why would I do that?"
"Well running around naked and making new friendship bracelets doesn't sound like you prioritizing them" she said
"It was 1 sleep over, if they wanted to have one all they had to do was ask just like the Luna's did" I said
"You could have invited them last night" she countered
"And then I wouldn't know the Luna's as well because I'd have been distracted by making sure they were having fun and not feeling left out" I said angrily
"That's very selfish of you Amber think about other people not just yourself, I know for a fact I raised you better than this" she said before going back into the dining room
With my jaw set and a slight glare on my face I walked in behind her. The Alphas and Luna's were standing getting ready to go call to check on their packs and prepare for their departure tonight.
"Amber are you alright?" Alice asked
"Yeah I'm fine" I said plastering a smile on my face
She nodded and they all left.
I dropped the smile and glared at my aunt who was whispering to my parents.
"Hey, hey calm down" Sebastian said unclenching my fist
"What do you have to be mad about?" Emily asked with an attitude
"Emily don't start with me" I said knowing my anger would get the best of me
"No Princess enlighten us all on what you could possibly be mad at right now" she said not backing down
When I stayed quiet everyone looked at me.
Calm down she's still your best friend Bri said
"I can't do this" I said standing was heading for the door
"No tell me! Stop ignoring me!" Emily said catching my arm and slapping me
I caught her hand before she could hit me again and she flew to the other side of the room by some invisible force.
"I'm not ignoring you all I'm trying to please everyone but if you keep pushing me I might kill you and I don't want to do that so please leave me alone" I said as calmly as I could before leaving the room as everyone watched me with wide eyes
I went up to our room and out to the balcony that had a view of the forrest and the mountains in the distance.
I could hear yelling from downstairs and about 5 minutes later Sebastian came in pissed as well. Without a word he leaned against the railing next to me with a deep scowl on his face.
I turned him around hugging him. He instantly relaxed and let out a sigh.
"It's alright, you got me and I got you" I said trailing kisses up around his neck and collar bone. As I breathed in his scent all my worries flew away and I realized that must be why Sebastian does it to me so much.
He lifted my chin bringing my lips to his in a delicate passionate kiss. He placed both of his hands on my hips bringing me closer and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"You're my rock" he said once I pulled away
"And you're mine" I said
He took my hand in his walking back into our room.
"I'm going to pack my bag" I said pecking his lips
"Alright" he said sitting on the bed and texting
I set out a small suitcase and filled it with an outfit for any occasion along with shoes underclothes and my makeup bag. I knew anything else I needed would already be there from my last stay so didn't bother bringing anything else.
"Ok I'm ready" I said zipping up the suitcase
Sebastian picked it up with one hand and took my hand with his other. I grabbed my purse and phone from the bed and followed him out the door. When we walked down everyone was standing my the door most likely having heard us coming.
"Amber you can't go anywhere in your condition" my father said
"Condition? There's nothing wrong with me" I said
"You know what I mean" he said
"Actually no I don't and I'm going" I said
"Alpha Jason is there something you need?" My mother quickly piped up as my father and I took a step towards each other
"Well we couldn't help but overhear the uh arguments that've been going on" he said stepping into the room followed by the rest of the Alphas and the Luna's standing behind them.
"I think she should meet her pack, after all if she wasn't taunted she wouldn't have used her powers" Erica said glancing at Emily
"What about last night?" My father asked looking at me
"If she hadn't caught us we would have died" one of the 2 Luna's I caught said
"Thank you but I don't think any of this concerns you all" my mother said
"Actually it does" Alpha Rivers said
"And why's that cause you're all best friends now?" Alex asked
"No because if a pack doesn't have their rightful Luna all of our packs are affected" Alpha Rivers said
"She can't control herself for all we know she could go and kill the whole pack right now! Ever think of that Sebastian?" James said
The Luna's gasped while the Alphas growled.
"I think I'm doing a pretty good job controlling myself right now don't you?" I asked "I would never dare harm our pack don't even stoop that low"
"You hurt your best friend what's to say you wouldn't do worse to people you don't know?" Katie said
"I didn't hurt her she's perfectly fine" I said
Breathe, deep breaths. Count to 10 and breathe Bri said
"Come on we're leaving Alphas Luna's your welcome to join us until your departure" Sebastian said
They nodded going to get their things.
Sebastian growled looking at our friends "Are you guys fucking kidding me right now?" He asked angrily
"Think about who was the first person to befriend each of you with no questions asked as soon as she met you. Look where you are right now, look what your wearing, look at all the memories you share and who's always looked out for you" he said "especially you Emily" he shook his head in disgust
"And you all have the audacity to turn your backs on her over 1 fucking sleep over? Try to embarrass her in front of the people she has to lead? Not only was she your friend but she is your Luna and she loves each of you more than any of you know it" he said taking my hand
"And the worst part is she would forgive you in a second even after all of this because that's just the kind of person she is" he said incredulously
"If that's the way I'm leading my pack then maybe I have to change somethings, maybe get stricter, teach what respect is and how real men and women act. Because I'll be dammed if I sit back and let my Luna who is working her ass off for each and every one of us, filling a job she sure as hell didn't ask for be disrespected by the people she loves most." He said looking at my parents and aunt and uncle before back to our friends.
"So don't any of you dare even think let alone say aloud that she's being selfish because she's been the most selfless person in this castle" he said as I heard the Alphas and Luna's coming back.
He grabbed my suitcase and my hand and we walked out the door to the awaiting limo followed by the Alphas and Luna's.
