Ashley led me through the extensive passageways of the Red Hill Pack house and she stopped outside an elaborately carved wooden door, the carving depicted a full moon and a wolf howling to it from a hilltop, I ran my hand along the contours of the carving as my mind flashed back to before...

" What does it mean mommy?" I had asked in my five year old squeeky voice as i ran my small hands over the carved door that led into our gathering and dining room.
" All Pack houses have one at the entrance to their meeting place, it is a sign of homage to our wolves and it identifies the Pack it belongs to. Ours is a burning forest because our Pack is called the Forest Fire Pack, it represents the natural side we have and the passion in each one of us" My mother had told me with a patient smile, her blue eyes sparkling, We shared the same blue eyes and the same black hair, she would always answer my questions no matter how wierd they were.

" Are you ready to go in? " Ashleys voice broke me out of my flashback and i nodded stiffly before stepping away from the door. Ashley knocked twice and the doors opened inwards to reveal a large room with about 50 people sitting around several tables and talking loudly to one another. I shied towards Ashley as the guards who stood by the door announced our entry.
All eyes turned to me and I cast my eyes to the floor, terrified of seeming disobediant and not wanting them to see the fear in my eyes.
Alpha Brennan stood up and waved us over to his table before addressing the rest of the pack " Everyone this is Skylar, Skylar ... Everyone "
Alpha Brennan made a swooping motion as he said this incorporating the whole Pack as everyone before motioning for me to sit down. At the head table there were eight chairs and in them sat alpha Brennan at the Head, Mike by his right and the other man from the doctors room on his left, next to Mike sat Sally who kept the chair next to her open for me, then it was Ashley and a women and man i hadn't met yet filling up the rest of the table. I sat down tentatively and folded my arms in my lap, staring at them in awkwardness, I had no clue what i was supposed to do.
Alpha Brennan broke the silence by motioning to Mike and introducing everyone in turn. " This on my right is my second in command Mike and on my left is my third Jasper. I'm sure you have already met Sally and my niece Ashley and over there is my sister Arianna and her husband James, Ashley's parents."
I looked up briefly, turning to each in turn before quickly looking down in my lap again.
" N..Nice to meet you all" I said, my voice hoarse still.
" You can look up child, we are all friends here." Sally's motherly voice rang out in the silence and i obeyed, slowly looking up and around the table to the curious smiles of the people around me, not the vicious glare i was so used to recieving.
Alpha Brennan then stood up and motioned to the guards " Let's Eat !! "
