It's almost as if there's a city, made of beautiful white marble, but surrounded by a glass wall.
And there I am.
On the outside looking in.
At you.
And there you are.
On the inside looking out.
At me.
The white city, just steps in front of me, so close I can place my hands on the glass, and miles behind me, a swirling black abyss which few would dare to approach.
It's a barren gray wasteland out here, beyond the wall,
but it's where I am.
The call of the city is appealing,
and it's where you are.
I know you'll never come outside the city, step beyond the glass wall, and I could never ask you to.
Maybe one day...
