myself sitting at my table with my right hand on my forehead I was recently laid of from my job as an manager for an uptown label they didn't need me anymore,so I'm here in this predicament
I called my bank account and waited for directions
"Press 1 for English press 2-"I didn't even let the person finish because I know the drill
"Press 1 for bank account balance "I was prepared for this because I knew it wasn't much in there
"Your remaining balance is 500.26 cent press 1 if you need me to repea-"I hung up and sighed hard I didn't know what I was going to do. I had the count of 26bills I was behind on the light,water,gas,bill ,and my car note everything isn't going right for me right now but one stuck out to me so I opened it.
Dear nyykia smith ,
We have been noticing how much you been behind on your bills and we have been letting you stay in the apartment for a while let's just say 2 months of free rent but , we can not do it anymore we are coming up with a low price of money so you have 2days to leave and 1 day to have all of your things gone thank you for choosing to stay here I hope everything goes right for you .

This is so unbelievable and the note was from yesterday.i got up and took a 30 minute shower it wasn't much hot water it I made it through I slipped on some sweats a hoodie and threw my hair in a sloppy bun I grabbed my purse and headed out to my car when I get to my parking spot it wasn't there I sighed loud walking to the nearest store
I got there and I picked up some snacks and a couple of can sodas I paid for them and walked back to my house unlocking the door seeing half of my stuff gone I walked further back and see the landlords in my room they saw me and looked back
"Hey nyykia like I said again I'm sorry we have to do this but we are loosing money"Mr.myers said smirking
"Yeah,do you have anywhere to stay?"asked Ms.parker sweetly
"No ma'am this is all I have"I sniffles wiping my tears that started to form
"Aww I'm sorry I'll pray for you"they walked out leaving me in an empty apartment except an book bag and a duffle bag I have to find some where to sleep I grabbed my things and walked out
I walked on the side of the roads men hollering nasty things to me like "you want to suck me up" or "you want me to bust in between your eyeballs"
That made me very mad because I never in my life heard someone say that to me I continued my journey until I found a spot where no one would ever come and where no one could see me in an abandoned building where I felt like home could be .
4 months later
I didn't feel right my body was weak I have been living here for a couple of months surviving off of water under the bridge I know it's nasty but I'm still living I also survive from cans of uncooked soup
Earlier today around 11 I heard voices talking about how they were going to meet up with someone inside of the abandoned building making me not care because I'm sure they weren't talking about this one they could of been talking about the one where the crackheads be
Now it was 9 at night I could tell because I had my watch then I heard multiple voices starting to open the door to the building I was in I grabbed my stuff and ran behind a wall then men came in one was by his self with neck length dreads he was standing in front of 2 men with regular haircuts they had guns tucked in the back of their pants
"So you got my chain"the boy with the short dreads asked the men they nodded in response
"Yeah but where is my money for the chain"the boy with black pumas on said waving the sparkly chain around
"Here"the boy with the shirt dreads threw a bag down and got the chain that's when the quiet boy pulled out his gun but not before they heard something banging
"Police open up"they started running the boy with the short dreads grabbed the bag and ran toward where I was I got up and ran to a closet with full of old clothes and the boy ended up in here with me so I breather quietly
"Y'all have the right to remain silent whatever you say now will be used against you in the court of law Y'all are arrest for gun possession"they took them out while the other police shut the door then that's when I heard the man sigh
"That was close"he said to himself walking out the closet but he made something fall and it hit me making me scream lowly
"Owww"I said but realized the man was still right there
"Who the fuck is you"he moved the clothes and saw me and his face softened
"I'm sorry I don't have an-"he cut me if by pulling me out the closet taking a good look at me and I felt him touch my butt making me jump and start shaking
"I'm sorry lil mama how old are you "he turned my face to face his

"Ok where you staying"he raised his eyebrows
"Here I lost my job and my home 4 months and 7 days ago"I sniffled I felt tears starting to form
"You got bags?"he asked me and I nodded
"Get then you staying with me"he licked his lips
"I don't know you"I backed up
"Get your Shit please"he pointed
I got my stuff and walked out behind him and got in his car which was an foreign then I head some music playing
"You know who I am" he coughed covering his mouth he was smoking something strong
"Should I ?"I looked out the window
"Yeah if you listen to rap music"he laughed
"What do you go by"I smiled
"Well I go by Quavo but I'm in a group named migos with my cousin and nephew"he took another pull from what he was smoking
"Oh I heard of you guys I like y'all music"I laughed and my stomach growled making him look over at me
"You hungry"he asked
"Yeah I guess"
"It ain't no guessing baby girl you got any family "he scratched his dreads
"Yeah but I never told them about my situation so they don't know what's up and plus they live in Atlanta
"Oh what side"he pulled down the window making me furrow my eyebrows
"You rude but Decatur "I rolled my eyes
"What cause I pulled down the window and you cool with them"he smirked
"Yeah and yeah"I wiggled in my seat
"Ummm would you like to just stay with me even though you have fam"he took a quick glance at me
"Yeah I guess but I got to find a job down here"he laughed at what I said
"Well do you know how to do hair?"he pulled into chick-Fil-a
"Yeah I be slaying "I laughed
"Ok well then you got a job and you can do dreads"he scoffed
"Yeah"
"What you want"he looked over at me
"Anything you get"I said shyly
"Ok"he ordered and pulled up o the window and got our food
"Well we gone just go to a hotel until the morning"he put the food in the back
"If you hungry you can eat now"
"Nah I'll wait"
"Well you got some clean clothes?"he asked me
"Well I haven't wear them yet but I can wash them"I played with my now faded nail polish on my nails
"Ok and when we get to Atlanta I'll just introduce you to my peoples"he laid his hand on my thigh making me shift in my seat
"Can you please not tell them about my situation"I looked over at him
"You good lil mama and can I just tell them you my bestfriend or .."he asked me getting on the elevator
"Yeah"
"Well I'll go out and buy you some clothes while you rebuild your hygiene"he walked out the room and I took a shower it felt so good I smelt good again I made sure I wash my area very good I put the old clothes in a bag and threw it away and I started eating waiting for him to get back
