I do not make a living from my books and short stories. In fact I lose rather than make money as I spend quite a bit on paying talented artists to develop original artwork and cover designs for my books and short stories. I am an independent author dedicated to my art form and if I could give it all away for free I would if I had no costs. But that is not the world we live in.
