(One Year Later)
Evan's POV:
I clapped my hands as I watched Lorraine climb up the stairs of the stage. She looked prettier than ever,she held the dress of her graduation gown in one hand, and her notes in the other. With her confident smile, she was the perfect person to deliver the graduation speech.
She looked at the audiences, and when her eyes met mine, I waved, she smiled even wider.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm Lorraine, and I will be representing all the graduates today." She spoke into the microphone.
I looked at the blond girl beside me, Karen, me and Lorraine's Best Friend. Her Son fell asleep on her lap, her fiancé's arm wrapped around her shoulder. She dropped out of high school to take care of herself and her baby, and met the true love of her life. They're getting married this summer. He is a true man, he loves Karen and is willing to raise her child. Furthermore, Karen will start studying again once her Son is older.we are all happy for them.
Nancy, sitting on my other side was talking to Lorraine's Mom. Or I should call her my future Mother in law.
I haven't proposed to Lorraine yet, but I'm certain she's the one I wanna spend the rest of my life with, I wanna wake up next to her, and create little versions of ourselves with her . As ridiculous as it sounds, I imagine the good days we will be having together as Husband and Wife all the time.
I love Lorraine, and I tell her every day.
I wanna ask for her hand, but not now, we both just graduated and are going to the same college. But I'm already secretly saving money to buy her an engagement ring.
We might have arguments in the future, but I will try my best to love, care and treat her well. This is a promise I made, when I gave her the promise ring.
Somewhere in the near future, I will repeat my promises as I put on a diamond engagement ring in her left ring finger .
