I sip my drink as I watch people dance like idiots on the dance floor. I was invited out to a club to meet up with my friend but, she didn't show. So now, I'm sitting at the bar sipping on my second drink of the night.
"Hey hottie."
I turn to see an man, probably drunk, attempting to hit on me.
"Can I buy you a drink?"
I shake my head.
"I just got my second drink. I'm okay."
He mumbles something under his breath and sits next to me.
"Another drink for the pretty lady."
I tell the bartender no but the man keeps telling him to get me a strong drink.
"Just take the drink!"
I shake my head and stand up to walk away. The man laughs and wraps his arm around my torso.
"Please let me go."
He pulls me closer and puts his lips to my ear.
"You want it."
I squirm and try to escape but all that gets is a tighter grip on me. He had my hands clasped in his so I can't get to his pressure point on his hand. He's done this before.
"Let me go!"
I attempt to use my shoulders but he straightens my arms so I'm not able to.
"She said let her go dude."
I look to the right and see a bright haired man looking at the disgusting man holding me.
"She's my girl. Back off."
The yellow haired man laughs and puts his hands on my hips.
"Nice try. I've been watching her all night. It's hard to keep my eyes off of such a beautiful lady."
Not the perfect time to hit on me but I'll take it.
"I said back off!"
The man lets me go and shoves the yellow haired man to the ground. He goes down but gets straight back up and punches the man square in the jaw. He falls to the ground and the yellow haired man wipes his hands off.
"Josh! What the fuck?"
A brown haired man runs up and puts his hand on who I assume is Josh, shoulder.
"Tyler. He was harassing her."
Josh points to me. Who I assume is Tyler runs up to me and puts his hands on my shoulders.
"Are you okay?"
I slowly nod and look around at the people crowding around us.
"I..I have to go."
I rush out the door, gasping for air. Too many people. Too many people. I dig around in my purse for my keys until I remember that I took a cab here, expecting to get drunk.
"God damnit (Y/N)."
I press my back against the bricks of the building and sigh. First I get ditched then I get harassed? Great.
"Are you okay?"
I look to my left and see Josh.
"I'm perfectly fine."
He takes a seat next to me, keeping our distance.
"Hey, I'm sorry if I made you panic but I couldn't stand him having his hands all over you when you were clearly not enjoying it."
I nod.
"You aren't wrong. He smelled of a strong vodka and I certainly didn't like his hands on me."
Josh keeps his mouth shut and looks off to the cars going past us.
"Do you have a ride home."
I shake my head.
"I'll give you a ride. Do you wanna go now?"
"Preferably."
He stands up and holds his hand out for mine. I place my hand in his and he helps me up. I let go of his hand and follow him to his car. He opens his door and lets me in and then gets in on his side.
"I'm surprised you took the offer right away."
I lay my head on the window and sigh.
"I trust you. Considering that you punch a guy who was harassing me. And I wanna get home. I'm over it."
Josh bites his lip and continues to drive.
"Address?"
I tell Josh my address and wrap my jacket tightly around me.
"Want some music?"
I shrug. Josh plugs his phone in and starts playing music. I close my eyes a drift off to sleep.

I feel a strong hand in my arm, shaking me.
"We're at your house."
I open my eyes and look out the window. Yep, that's my house. I look over and give a small smile to Josh.
"How long was I asleep?"
"Only a few minutes."
I nod.
"Hey (Y/N)? I know this is kinda sudden but can I stay at your place? My roommate, Tyler, brought his girlfriend over and I don't wanna be there when...you know."
I laugh.
"You can't say the word sex Josh?"
He laughs and shuts his car off.
"Hey. It weird talking about my friend fucking his girlfriend."
I shake my head and open the door.
"But yeah. You can stay over. I really didn't want to be home alone tonight anyways."
He smiles and gets out of his car.
"I'll take the couch."
I nod and unlock my door. I let Josh walk in first.
"It smells like Oreos. I like it."
I laugh.
"I bought an Oreo candle to see what it smells like and it actually smells like Oreo's so."
Josh makes his way towards the couch and plops down. I get some blankets and a pillow. He catches them and places them next to him.
"I'm heading off to bed Josh. Night."
"Night (Y/N)."
I stop at my doorway and look back at Josh.
"Hey Josh?"
He turns to face me.
"What's up?"
"Thank you. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I've been harassed before and it didn't end well. So without you, I don't know what I would have done."
He gives me a small smile.
"Hey, no need to thank me. Just trying to protect a beautiful lady."
