Chapter #13- Back to Little West... Or nah.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" I ask Mel and she gives me a glare.
"I've been working on it ever since I met you guys! It has to work!"
"Girl! I'm just nervous" I laugh and chew my lip.
"You don't trust me? I work day and night just so you can reach Little West without having to pay for tickets, and you say you are nervous?!" She gives me an unbelievable look.
If you guys are wondering what's going on, don't beat your head on a wall, and let me just tell you.
I am broke.
Still don't understand?
I am broke so I cannot afford tickets back home and because Teague is worried that Alpha Ulysses might hit me again, as unintentional as it may be, he is not paying for my flight.
He is an asshole. I know.
So why is Mel not paying for my flight?
Well being the asshole that Teague is, he has jammed Mel's account, so I have no way to go back home.
And so here I am, with Mel. Standing at the center of a teleportation circle, that Mel has very skillfully chalked out for me.
The only problem is, this is the first time we, as in Mel and I, are trying the teleportation circle, so to say that I am anxious would be an understatement.
I know it will work, alright. Anything that Mel dedicates herself to always works.
But I am just worried.
What if it teleports me somewhere else only?
Like Russia?
Or Hell?
Oh no.
There are Faes in Russia.
And Demons in Hell.
OH NO.
I can't do this.
No.
"Hey Mel, why can't you just teleport me to Little West yourself like you did last nig-"
"Because it is pack land and unless invited, I am not supposed to be even 200 metres near their territory" she says in a duh tone and I rub the nape of my neck sheepishly.
"Yeah right...." I trail off and immediately my auditory senses are hit with chanting that is definitely not in English.
"Mel?" I give her a wide eyed look when I see fog accumulating around the circle.
"Mel, I am not ready yet, honey!" I panic when I see that the room has almost turned white with smoke and fog.
"MEL! Please stop, let's just go and talk this out with Tea-ague. I am su-ure I can make him un-nder-rstan-nd" I am close to freaking out, and though I want to run away from the circle, my legs seem rooted on the spot and I can't seem to move them at all.
She shouts something back at me, but because of the wind (where did that even come from when the windows are closed?!) gushing in my ears it is impossible for me to catch what she is saying.
"MEL!" I give a last shout of panic before I am eaten by a black hole that Moon only knows appeared from where.

My body seems like it is floating, lifeless, in the vaccum of darkness and these phrases keep on hitting my ear drums, each pain filled. As if the person saying them was choking.
"Please wake up"
"I am so sorry"
Thing is, I am not sure if I had heard them before. The voice too is barely recognizable.
As I try to concentrate on the voice, visions start to flash in front of my eyes.
Each lasting for a milisecond, but each being embedded in my brain, thanks to werewolf senses.

Alpha Ulysses freezing after punching me.

Teague shouting in the background with fear in his eyes. Eyes that are yellow. Ruin's.

Mel picking me up in her arms.

Me lying on Teague's bed.

Alpha Ulysses sitting at the corner of Teague's bed.

Alpha Ulysses talking to my sleeping form.

Alpha Ulysses leaning in towards my sleeping form.

Teague barging into his room. His clothes torn.

Teague shouting.

Teague tackling Alpha Ulysses.

Mel breaking their fight by saying something.

Teague leaving the room with a bang.

And lastly, Alpha Ulysses' face as he comes back to the door Teague's room.
A face so crestfallen, so overwhelmed with guilt and sadness that for a moment I am shaken to the core.
"Please wake up"
"I am so sorry, Sugar"

[A/N: I've decided that I am going to add extra POVs and not just stick with Del's. Each character in this book has a story... and well... let's explore it, yeah?!]
TEAGUE'S POV
"What do you mean?" I keep my voice neutral and fight an internal battle with Ruin who is throwing a fit at not having Delilah near.
"I teleported her half an hour ago" Mel, the fucked up skinny Witch, shrugs as if it is no big deal to teleport a human, or a werewolf to another country.
"Where?" I ask curtly, hoping against odds that she didn't teleport Del to-
"Little West" she grins and I can feel Ruin's wrath as if my own.
"You are kidding, right?" I ask calmly, aware that somehow I am able to co-command my body with Ruin.
He roars in my head.
"I kid you not! I was able to telelort her all the way to America!" Mel says with high spirits and I clench my fists to stop myself from punching some sense into her.
"Are you fucking retarded?! You sent her to Little fucking West?! Did you forget that she is not fucking safe there?! That asshole for a Mate of hers is fucking unstable! And you fucking teleported her there? To fucking work for him?!" I snap and see her flinch.
"But he's her mate! He won't harm her!" She defends herself and I slam my fist on the wall.
It cracks.
"Then what would you call last night? Fucking love?"
"That was a mistake"
"And mistakes can be repeated" I state firmly, echoing Ruin's words.
"I-I...."
"You may not know how fucking important she is to me, but lemme make this clear, if I had to choose between my own life and hers, I'd fucking choose hers" I state in a no nonsense voice and leave the room, finally allowing Ruin to take over as I jump out of the window and run towards the dense forest.
Instead of revelling in the beauty of nature, my beast decides it would be better to relive the day we had met the girl who is the light of our dark world.

It was an ordinary day, like any other, nearly 10 years ago.
I jump out of my dorm room's window and run towards the jungle at the back of the school, keeping an eye out for anyone who might be snooping.
On reaching the lake, where I usually go to shift into Ruin, I shed my clothes off and change.
The process lasts for a few seconds and I grin at the image of Ruin's yellow eyes in the lake. Sniffing around, I realize that there are no animals nearby, so I content myself with just some water. Unlike other lakes, this one is not polluted by humans as it is restricted to them, so the water is as pure as bottled water.
Once I have quenched my thirst, I lie back on the ground and close my eyes for a nap, but just as my eyes shut together, I hear a wild scream tearing through the eerily silent night.
It's hard for me to ignore the scream though it shouldn't be as I am a tiger, a predator. Not a fucking saviour.
But the screams are consistent and being the anomaly that Ruin and I are, we just can't ignore it.
I start running towards the direction from where I had heard the scream.
I am running for minutes, making my way through the dense woods and keeping my eyes open for any disturbance when I stumble upon a sight that I know for sure will keep me awake for nights to come.
There in front of me is a group of five rabid wolves, circling a butt naked little girl, as she lay bloodied, battered and bruised on the ground.
Three of the wolves are bleeding, while one is in a really bad condition, but the one with shabby brown coat, who seems to be their leader, is standing tall and proud.
Before the brown wolf can make his way to the girl, who I can smell is a wolf too, I roar so loud that their attention snaps in my direction in a millisecond.
They growl at me, telling me to mind my own business, but they forget that I am the king of this jungle.
I bare my canines, giving them a fair warning and when they don't back away, I step forward, going for the most injured one first.
I sink my canines into his only leg that is not bleeding and he whines, while the other three start clawing at my body.
When I am assured that he will no longer be a participant in the fight, I turn towards the three on my back and tackle them, baring my canines. I take turn to injure them, and bear the tear they are making on my body, because honestly, ten of them together can't stand a chance against me.
Two of the three are lying on the ground and just as I am about to go in it with the third one, I hear the shrill scream again, this time louder than ever.
I turn back towards the girl, to see the leader dragging her towards the trees and before I can make my way towards her, to save her, the third wolf jumps on my back, biting my ear.
I throw him off with a jerk and kick him on the muzzle making him land somewhere in the woods.
I run towards the leader and he immediately lets go of the girl to fight with me, though still standing in front of her.
I circle around and being dumb just like any other rogue leader, he follows my steps, finally stepping away from the girl.
I take my position in front of the little girl protectively, and on his enraged growl, let out a loud roar of my own.
He starts running towards me and I do too, and we collide head first, making my skull hurt by the impact but I don't budge.
He growls and I roar and it is a bloodied mess of scratches and bites and blood and fur as we try to do as much harm to each other as we can.
Finally when I've had enough of him, I bite his jugular, knowing that Mom would kill me if she knew that I killed somebody, but my mind totally occupied by the heavy breathing of the little girl, I sink my canines as deep as I can in his jugular and his body shivers under me, trying to get away, before finally going limp.
I spit the blood out from my mouth and though exhausted, I shift back into my human form and make my way towards the girl.
Her eyes flutter open on seeing me and my heart breaks on seeing her abnormally swollen face.
Those bastards did this to her.
I touch her face and pull my hand back when it burns in contact with her skin.
"You are burning like hell!" I speak softly and my mind starts running at the speed of light, wondering what I can do to help her.
"H-h-hea-at" she stutters out and I freeze.
She is in heat?
I dony know much about wolves, but isn't she supposed to have her mate with her to guide her through her heat?
Where is he?
"Where is your mate, girl?" I ask, but she does not reply, instead starts spitting blood.
I ignore the tears in her eyes and pick her up in my arms, forcing myself to bear the scorching heat of her body and walk her to the heart of the woods where the lake is.
Once we reach there, I jump into the lake and pull her in, making sure to hold her close to me as I wipe the grim and blood off her face as gently as I can.
She shivers and once I am satisfied that she will not get infected, I pull her out with me and then wrap her up in my shirt which luckily covers her till her thighs.
She is still shivering so I make her sit against a tree and though she asks me to stay with her, I leave to collect some sticks to light fire.
Luckily my Mom has taken me out camping so many times that by now, I can light a fire with my eyes closed so I collect the sticks as quickly as I can and am back by her side within seconds, setting the fire to keep her warm.
When I am back, I see her face is getting better already, thanks to her werewolf genes and she looks much better cleaned up than bruised.
"Thanks" she tells me as I pull on my boxers and I give her a look.
Her eyes are blank, no reminiscence of what had happened merely half an hour ago.
This makes my beast's interest pique.
"Where is your mate?" She is silent at my question and her silence is enough answer for me.
From now on, she is my responsibility, I decide then and there.
"What's your name?" I ask her, with a smile, really glad that for the first time my beast has accepted someone as his own.
"Delilah Selene Raymond" she tells me, rubbing her hands together.
"Well Delilah. I am Graham Teague Anderson and only you beside my Mother knows my full name. Do you know what that means?" I ask her.
She shakes her head no.
I smile, "It means, that from now on you are stuck with me. Lets fight our battles together rather than alone, okay?" Though I am happy that my beast has finally decided to befriend someone, albeit a wolf, I am scared that she'll reject my proposition.
"You saved me" she mumbles softly, stating a fact and I shrug.
"And I have a huge crush on Marilyn Monroe. Does it matter?"
She smiles, an amused smile for the first time and my heart warms. My beast already whipped.
"Okay" she says finally and though I am excited to explore this friendship, I don't display my enthusiasm and instead say cockily,
"Call me Teague".

Delilah's POV
"Please wake up"
"I am so sorry, Sugar"
I am vomited out of the black hole, the words still ringing in my ear and then I am on a slide, a watery slide, like the one you'd find in a park, or an amusement park and I scream in delight as I am whooshing down the slippery slide, only to be dunked in water instead of hitting the ground. I love the pool so though I have just been teleported to some place I have no idea about (probably a water park), I let out a laugh and rub my eyes off to clear them.
I hear someone chuckle, and I freeze.
Sel snores in the back of my mind, and I wish against all odds that the person to witness my humiliation not be who I am very sure is.
