"Is he okay?" I asked breathlessly, jogging up to where my mom stood in the hospital waiting room.

"Oh, sweetheart, yes. I'm sorry if my text sounded misleading. He's just got a broken arm." She nodded, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"What happened?" I frowned, gazing up at her.

"He was helping a guy from work and he fell. Landed right on his left arm and snapped the bone."

"Idiot," I murmured playfully, sighing softly in relief.

"The doctors are making sure nothing else is wrong with him. He should be out soon and on the way home with painkillers and a cast." She laughed.

I nodded, taking her hand and leading her down to sit in the chairs of the waiting room.

"Aren't you supposed to go shopping with the girls later?" My mom frowned, raising a brow.

"I was, but dad-"

"Jules, dad won't care." She nodded her head. "You're a senior. It's your last year to go to homecoming."

"I just wanna see him first. Go home with you guys, make sure he's comfortable, then I'll meet the girls." I frowned.

"Okay, sweetheart. I'm sure they'll be done soon."

[]

After making sure my dad was alright and comfortably seated on couch, high on painkillers while I scribbled a message on his cast, I kissed his forehead and grabbed my keys.

"I'll be home later tonight, then." I smiled, kissing my mom's cheek as I made my way towards the door.

"Okay, babe, see you then!" She smiled, waving before making her way into the living room to be with my dad.

"See y-" I was cut off as I crashed into someone while walking out of the door.

I had almost lost my balance, but luckily, two firm hands gripped my waist, saving me from going down.

"Whoa," I glanced up quickly, coming in contact with two familiar eyes.

"Didn't you get my texts?" Shawn asked, a frown on his lips as he held me steady.

I shook my head, mirroring his frown. "My phone died at the hospital. Why?"

"I wanted to make sure your dad, and you, were okay."

"I.. yeah, he's fine. In the living room if you wanna go say hi." I nodded, glancing down to his hands on me. "You can, um, let me go now."

"Oh, yeah, sorry," He nodded, an upset looking claiming his handsome features before shifting to normal. "Where are you going?"

I suddenly remembered that I was mad at him, and I took a step back. "None of your business."

"Julianna-"

"No, Shawn," I snapped, crossing my eyes as I looked at him. "You were an ass to me all day. You embarrassed me in front of the class like... like I was some reckless student!"

"Because you ignored me." Shawn's tone was quiet but tense, reminding me that we were standing in my doorway.

"Because you made an asshole comment." I hissed beneath my breath.

"Cut your shit, Julianna," He snapped, narrowing his eyes at me.

"You're not my dad," I shot back. "You can't tell me what to do."

"Stop fighting with me. I've already said I'm sorry." He sighed, frowning at me.

"Leave me alone, please." I shook my head, pressing a hand to his chest to push him aside. "I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"Promise?" He stepped aside, tilting his head as he watched me walk out the door.

"Yeah," I nodded, moving outside without another word.

I silently got into my car, aware his eyes were on me, but I refused to look back at him. I pulled out of my driveway, and made my way to the mall.

Once I had gotten there and made my way inside, I met up with the girls inside one of the stores, humming as we all looked at dresses.

"Has Jack asked you to be his date yet?" Sasha asked Caroline, her eyes flipping between two dresses.

"Sash, he hasn't even asked her to be his girl. He's too much of a pussy to ask her to homecoming." Arizona remarked, rolling her eyes playfully.

"Shut up. Not yet, but I'm hoping he will soon." Caroline frowned, shaking her head.

"Well, cupcake," I wrapped an arm around her playfully. "If anything, you can be my date."

"That's what Sash and I are doing." Arizona hummed.

"Ah, so that's how you're getting into the dance." Caroline teased.

"Shut up. This store is useless. Can we go eat then look somewhere else?" Sasha pouted, ignoring the dresses she was looking at.

"Chinese food?" I asked, referring to the place in the food court.

"Yes," The girls groaned hungrily, so we made our way to that side of the mall.

We sat down after getting our food, all digging in before Arizona cleared her throat to get our attention.

"I've gotta tell you guys something." She frowned, her tone serious, which was rare.

"What's up?" I asked, taking a sip from my drink.

"Well, my mom is being relocated for work. To New York. Obviously here, Seattle, and New York aren't close, so. We have to move. Within the next month."

"What?!"

"No!"

"You can't, it's your senior year!"

We all frowned as we tried to come up with ideas on how to make Arizona stay.

"Wait!" Caroline chimed, a grin on her lips. "You're eighteen already, so am I. Julianna will be soon, and then Sasha. What if we all just got an apartment together?"

"Wait, here? And all be roommates?" Arizona asked between a bite of noodles.

"Yeah! Then you can finish school here. Besides, you were looking into NYU anyways! You'll be with your mom after graduation."

"I am so down for this idea." Sasha giggled, nodding her head quickly.

"Let's talk to our parents then start looking into apartments, then." I grinned, looking around at the girls.

[]

"No, Julianna," My mother answers sternly, shaking her head.

"Mom! I'll be eighteen soon and moving to college! I've gotta get used to being on my own, or with roommates, soon!"

"But you're not eighteen yet. The answer is no."

"Mom! That's so unfair! You haven't even talked to dad!"

"I don't have to. Now go, Julianna. This conversation is over." She waved to dismiss me, turning away to continue doing laundry.

I rolled my eyes and made my way into the kitchen to grab something to drink, spotting my dad doing the same thing.

"What was that all about?" He asked, raising a brow which made me assume he heard the little argument.

"Arizona's mom got a job in New York. But, because she's almost done with school and all, we thought us four girls could just get an apartment so she could continue to live here." I explained, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge.

"I think it's a great idea." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"What? Really?" I asked, looking at him with a raised brow.

"Yeah. You'll all learn responsibility." He nodded. "I'll talk to mom. The idea isn't completely thrown out of the window yet."

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I leaned onto his good arm, kissing his cheek with a grin.

"Anytime, sunshine." He laughed, squeezing my shoulder gently. "Go get some rest. It's late. We'll talk about this tomorrow."

"Okay," I smiled, taking my water as I waved and made my way out of the kitchen. "Night, dad!"

I grabbed my phone once I had shut my bedroom door, quickly typing out a message to the group chat the four of us girls had.

Dad's trying to convince mom... anyone found any good apartments yet? ;)

I hit send and figured they'd reply in the morning, since it was already late. I looked through my phone, sighing softly as I saw Shawn's name with an unread message.

I truly am sorry, Julianna. I don't want to argue with you over something stupid I said. Please talk to me. S x

I couldn't help but smile at the little 'x' he'd sent, and I quickly typed out a message.

Are you awake?

I hit send and only had to wait a few moments, because my phone buzzed with his reply.

Yes. Hi. What's up?

I giggled softly at his nervous response before I made sure my door was locked, clicked on his contact, then hit the 'call' button.

"Hello?" His gentle, somewhat sleepy, voice picked up on the second ring.

"Hi," I spoke softly, my voice shaking nervously for some reason.

"Don't be nervous, Julianna, we've talked before." He laughed, and I knew he was smiling.

"Yeah, but I'm sure I sound gross on the phone." I giggled shyly, my cheeks heating as I sat down on my bed.

"You don't, I promise. You sound like an angel." He replied smoothly, causing me to giggle again.

"Stop it! That's so cheesy!"

"It's true!"

We both laughed against the line, a smile on my lips as we went quiet for a moment before he spoke again.

"Julianna?"

"Hm?"

"I'm sorry. For everything."

"I am too." I sighed, letting my shoulder sag.

"Are we okay? Can we forget about it?"

"Please. We're okay." I smiled, nodding even though he couldn't see me.

"Okay, good." He chuckled, humming in my ear before speaking softly. "What are you doing?"

"I'm in bed," I replied, snuggling back against my pillows.

"What are you wearing?" He asked in a deeper, playful tone.

Gasping dramatically, I tried to hold in my giggle. "Are you trying to seduce me, sir?"

"Is it working?"

"I don't know. What does the thought of me in pink, silk shorts do to you?" I smirked, humming into the phone.

I could hear the change in his breathing, causing my cheeks to flare up.

"Jesus, Julianna," He groaned into the phone. "Don't do this."

"You started it." I replied casually. "Hold on a sec."

I muted the call before quickly snapping a picture of my waist and thighs in the shorts, sending it to him with a grin as I put the phone back to my ear and unmuted it.

"Check your messages," I whispered, biting my lip shyly.

"Oh, god," He gasped, making me giggle softly as I toyed with the hem of the shorts. "Can you do something for me? Please?"

"Hm?"

"Touch yourself."

Inhaling sharply, I nodded before realizing he couldn't see me.

"Yeah," I whispered softly, my hand sliding into my panties, trying to calm my pounding heart.

"I wish I was there to touch you, Julianna," Shawn hummed softly in my ear. "You always look so pretty when your eyes close in pleasure while my thumb plays with your clit."

I gasped softly, not only at his words, but at the feeling of my fingers against where I wanted them the most.

"Please," I mumbled, my eyes falling shut as I tightened my grip around the phone.

"You don't even know what you do to me, do you?" He spoke again. "When you're sitting in class, biting on your lip and blinking those pretty lashes of yours."

I could hear shuffling on the other line, and once the realization hit me, I only wanted him more.

Shawn was touching himself, too.

"Oh, god," I whispered softly, continuing to move my fingers as he grunted softly in my ear.

"What I wouldn't do to bury myself between your thighs right now, Julianna."

All the things he was saying was almost too much, and as my hand continued to move in sync of his own, I could feel myself getting closer to my orgasm.

"I... I'm.." I moaned into the phone as quietly as possible, squirming against my sheets.

"God, you sound so pretty." Shawn spoke in my ear, the sound of his hand working over his length clear through the call. "Come on baby, be a good girl. Come for me."

I could feel my body shake and tense up as I hit my high, soft whimpers falling from my lips while Shawn groaned my name through the phone, signaling he had also hit his high.

The both of us were quiet for a few moments, aside from our panting, before I began to giggle as my cheeks heated up slightly.

"Why're you giggling like a school girl?" Shawn asked breathlessly, although I could tell he was smiling.

"Because I've never done that before." I giggled once more, smiling into my pillow.

"I'm glad I've got the honor of saying I was your first then." He teased, chuckling quietly. "Oh, and Julianna?"

"Hm?" I hummed softly, feeling boneless after the pleasure he had given me.

"Next time I see you, you're mine."
