I can see
the broken look in your eyes.
And I want to hug you
and fix your sorrows.
I'd light up the skies
for your pleasure.
We could sit and watch
the stars dance.
But it would be a treasure
if we could be fixed together.
But how?
I can't even fix myself.
But I treat myself like a feather
Like I'm weak and easily crushed
And I never notice
how pretty feathers can look.
But those thoughts are mush.
I'm the dirty feather
found in the mud.
And if I can't clean myself up,
how will I fix you?

My hardest I swear
Because I care for you
More than the air.
That holds the dirty feather aloft.
