(Zeb pov)

Stupid cell. Stupid handcuffs. Stupid–sorry Sabine–Mandolorians. Sabine's always been right–her blood relatives are kind of crazy. Crazy, maddening, brilliant warriors–just like my people once were. Except my people had honour and were less bloodthirsty. Sabine's relatives live for blood. Thank the Force that she's nothing like them–she's lucky to have been able to realize right from wrong and have drawn herself away from the madness before it was too late.

But what was she doing with the Death Watch? That must have been where the stupid crystal teleported her–but why? Sabine didn't come from the Death Watch.... at least, she hasn't told me that

All of the sudden, my cell door slides open and in walks two helmeted Mandos–Vizsla and another one that I don't recognize. No sign of Sabine.

"Keep your mouth shut and you'll stay safe–at least in our care. No promises for the people taking you in." Vizsla grins bitterly. "Now get up."

Lots of hallways and a turbolift ride later, I'm being given over to battle droids and a Separatist lieutenant.

"Stay here," the lieutenant informs the Death watch warriors warily. "General Grievous wants to speak with you." Her hand hovers over her blaster almost absentmindedly.

"Tell him to make it quick." Vizsla drawls.

"He will be here when he's here," the lieutenant replies briskly. Her hands are shaking slightly, and she clenches them into fists to make her fear less noticeable. She turns and nods once to the battle droids. "Take him away."

The two wire brains grab my arms and lead me to a cell, tossing me in and locking the door. Left alone, I do my best to grab some sleep–won't hurt to have some fresh energy to break out of this place.

I have no idea how long I lay on that cold metal slab, but sooner or later the door slid open and in walked a green-skinned Twi'lek clad in Separatist garb.

"Hera?"

"Listen up. We've got maybe a minute till Grievous gets here. The entire crew is aboard this ship right now, except Sabine. We have no idea of her whereabouts–"

"She's with the Mandos." I interrupt. I don't even ask Hera how she got here, or how she got the rest of the crew together. "I saw her briefly, but didn't make contact."

"Figures. Great, thanks Zeb. I'll find her next. Anyway, wait for my signal and and break out. Find us and we'll try and get out alive. Alright?"

"So we're all just waiting around on a kriffin' Star Destroyer? Great plan, Captain." I salute mockingly. I can't help myself; this is a crazy plan. Crazy, maddening, and brilliantly fun. True Ghost crew style.

"Watch it Zeb, or I'll leave you here." Hera says, and I see a ghost of a smile cross her face.

Then the General comes in and it fades, leaving the room full of grey and pain.
