Maddie's POV
My eyes fluttered open and Ashton was next to me sitting up with his laptop in his lap. I took a deep breath in through my nose, as I always do when I wake up, and sat up. "Morning babe." He said quickly closing his computer. When I had sat up he jumped and when he spoke his voice was kinda shaky. "You ok Ash?" I frowned. He nodded. "What were you looking at??" I said wrapping my arms around his torso. He put his arm around me, "Oh, nothing..." "Bear." I said sternly looking up at him. "What?!" His voice got high. He's lying, I can tell. His voice raises an octave when he lies. "I know you're lying." He sighed, "Fine." I opened his computer and the web page was still open. I furrowed my eyebrows. He was on YouTube, on the video we filmed yesterday. "Why were you looking at this, Bear?" He thought for a second and opened his mouth. "You lie to me one more freaking time and I'm going to punch you in the throat." He closed his mouth and opened it again, "Luke texted me and told me to look at the comments." I looked back to the screen and scrolled through the comments. The first one I read, being the last one I read also, said:
Maybe Ashton should listen a little closer to the lyrics. I mean Ash, she can't be what you need if she's 17. Haha. How coincidental!!!!
I closed the lid of the laptop and wrapped my arms back around Ashton's waist. "Babe... I'm sorry." "It's not your fault." I choked back tears and buried my face in his shoulder. A few tears fell out of my eyes and I felt ash get something off the nightstand. Minutes later the door opened and I looked up wiping my eyes. Cal, Luke, and Michael stood just inside the door. "Hi guys..." I whispered. They all crawled into the bed around me. I laughed as Cal wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry there are lots of bitches out there and they only hate you because they're jealous." Cal buried his head in my neck. "They're just jealous that Ashton got in your pants." Luke said. I put my hands over my face and the guys laughed. "But Maddie that song kinds does work for us." Ash winked. "What?" I asked kinda nervous. "Remember how we got together???" I just wanted to scream at him and tell him to shut up!!! "What the hell are you talking about?!" Cal said looking at me. "Thanks, Ashton." "Oh shit she called you Ashton." Luke laughed. "Well now you have to tell us what you mean." Cal said. "Fine, none of you guys know this but Ashton didn't just ask me out..."
~Flash back~
"OH MY GOD!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE SAM!!!" I quickly walked away from the school building. "Just listen to me!!!" He yelled back. "NO!!!" I picked up speed. This Sam kid was in my 8th period geometry class and has been asking me out everyday for the past month. My phone buzzed in my pocket and as I walked I pulled it out. Cal texted me:
Ashton's picking you up😊
It wasn't odd that my brothers band mate was picking me up. Luke, Michael, and Ashton pick me up a lot. I saw Ashton's car and sped up to almost a run. "MADDIE PLEASE?!" He was catching up. The next thing I knew his fingers wrapped around my wrist and spun me around. "Get the fuck off me!!!" I pried his fingers off of my wrist and basically ran to Ashton's car. Ashton must've seen what happened because he got out of the car and stood on the side walk. Once we got close enough Ashton grabbed my arm, "Put your stuff in the trunk and get in the car." He whispered. I nodded and did as I was told. I walked around and put my bag in the trunk when I stopped and listened, "Why the fuck were you touching her?!" Ashton yelled. "Because I wanted too?" Sam responded, "Why the fuck do you even care?" I waited to hear Ashton's response, "She's my girlfriend." My mind raced and then I decided what to do. I walked up next to Ashton and looked at him, "Thanks, babe." I smiled and took his hand. He leaned down and pressed his lips on mine. Electricity ran through my body until Sam cleared his throat. We pulled back and looked at Sam, "Alright, I'll go..." Sam turned and walked away. Once he was gone I jumped up and locked my arms around Ashton's neck. "Thank you..." I whispered. I felt him smiled, "You're welcome."
~end flash back~
"After that we kinda were 'friends with benefits' I guess, minus the sex." I said. Ash nodded, "Why did we continue to do that anyways??" "Well I never told you this but... when we kissed there it... was my first real kiss..." My voice trailed off. "REALLY?!" Ashton's smile
Was huge and his cute little dimples were showing. His smile, made me smile, "Yes, Bear." "But wait if you two just kissed then how did you guys start dating??" Luke asked."Well that's another story..."
~flash back~
"Cal I'm going to a party!" I yelled from the hallway fixing my red lipstick. "Let me see what you're wearing!!!" I groaned knowing he would try to make me change. I stepped into the living room and looked at him, "Go ahead. Complain, but I'm not changing." Cal, Luke, and Michael turned to me. Luke's and Michael's eyes got wide. "Maddie, you look hot." Luke said. I laughed, "Thanks Luke." "Don't say that to my sister," Cal said sternly, "Turn." I spun in a slow circle. My dress was all black with a low u shape in the back having sparkles around the low back. I had on red heels and my makeup was per-fect along with my hair. Cal got up and stood in front of me, "You look pretty, Maddie." My mouth dropped open, "What?" "You look pretty?" He repeated. "Oh, so you're not gonna try to make me change?" "No, you need a boyfriend." "Excuse you?!" "Maybe you should date Luke." "Ok I'm leaving now." I grabbed my keys and walked down the front porch steps. Once I got into my car and pulled out my phone and texted Ashton,

This was no regular party. This was Ashton's friends party, that Ashton was taking me to. The plan was for me to tell Cal I was going to a party, not a lie, go to Ashton's house and Ashton would drive us to his friends house. Ashton quickly responded,

I pulled into Ashton's driveway and he walked out. I got out of the drivers seat and Ashton got to me. "Hey gorgeous." He pressed his lips on mine. "Thanks." I whispered pulling off. He smiled and I climbed in the passenger seat after he got in the drivers seat. "That is one nice dress." Ashton bit his lip. "Thanks..." I blushed. He drove us quickly over to his friends house. When I'd left my house the sun was setting but by now it was dark. His friends house was alive compared to the dark night around us. From inside the car I could feel the bass of the music but you could clearly tell there was a party going on, Lights strobing and flashing through the windows. "You ready??" Ashton asked. I nodded, "Fuck yeah." Ashton got out and walked around the car opening the door for me and taking my hand helping me out. He wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked up the sidewalk. Once we stepped in we were greeted by I guess Ashton's friend? I'm not sure if he was the house owner but him and Ashton knew each other well. "This is Maddie. She's Calum's sister." Ashton basically screamed to his friend over the music. His friend looked at me and motioned for me to turn. I turned in a slow circle and when I face them again I saw him mouth, 'Well, fuck.' Ashton grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a corner of the house. "What do you wanna do??" I asked leaning my back against the wall. He shrugged. I pressed my finger to his chest and drew circles there. "You should kiss me." I whispered in his ear. He leaned down and kissed my neck. I tilted my head back and giggled, "That tickles, Ash." He pulled back and smirked at me, then pressed his lips on mine. Our lips moved in sync for almost 10 minutes until I pulled off. "Ashton? What are we doing?" Ashton shrugged, "I'm not sure." I felt my phone buzz in my purse and pulled it out. Cal texted me:
Home. Now.
"Fuck." I whispered. "What?" Ashton glanced at my phone. "Cal wants me home... and it's serious, I guess." Ashton nodded, "I guess i'll take you home??" I looked at my feet and nodded, what if Cal knows about Ashton and I? Ash and I climbed in the car and drove back to my house. We pulled up and glanced inside. The lights were on and Luke's car was out front, "Shit, Luke and Michael are here..." "It'll be ok." Ashton smiled. I nodded and leaned in. Our lips met just as the car door opened. "What the fuck?" Cal mumbled. "Calum!!!" I smiled. "Maddie? Ashton?" I looked down and realised my hand was in Ashton's. "Get out of the car." Cal instructed us. We did as we were told and stood next to each other intertwining our fingers. "So are you two dating?" Cal asked finally. I opened my mouth to say no but Ashton cut me off, "Yes, sorry we didn't tell you..." I played along, "We were just afraid you wouldn't let us be together." "Really?" Cal asked, "Maddie I recommended you date Luke. I love that you're dating our drummer!!" Ashton smiled at me and put his hand on my neck leaning in. Our lips met. "Michael looks like you have some competition." I heard Luke's voice say. "What the hell for?!" Michael yelled. "There's a new Mashton." I smiled into the kiss and pulled off, "Thanks guys."
~end flash back~
"Oh yeah I remember that but I thought you'd been actually dating before that." Luke said. "Exactly what we wanted you to think." Ashton laughed. I nodded, "I'm a great liar." "Well not a liar." Ashton corrected. "Right!!" I smiled, "I'm a good actress!!"
