He arrived home clearly upset
His wife was concerned

Coming to terms with her choice after all she was nothing to him

He told her of his family
Of going to school
Meeting the woman of his dreams
Of the day he found out he'd be a father
He hoped this would help her
That maybe her child was well off like him
Maybe he could lessen her pain
