Chapter One
I was running. Running as fast as I could. I was being followed. They can't catch me, but they know where I'll go. I have to make a plan. They made me what I was and I could beat them. I knew I could. I had to. They couldn't make another me. It's too cruel; just too cruel to continue. They can't take more kids. They just can't.
Suddenly I saw it. The train. A high speed coal train. It would be gone in a minute. They wouldn't find me.
I sped up. My legs pumped harder and I leap into the coal car. Where I was now going, I had no idea. I just knew I might have a chance of safety. A good, solid chance. All I had to do was listen to the training that they gave me.
At that moment though all I could do is sit on the train and watch the trees pass and the rain fall. All I had where memories and my training. My name was now my only thing I had that was truly mine. My name, by the way, is Emma Sievers, and this is my story.
