To escape the pain.
We smile, we cry inside.
We laugh, we crumble inside.
The only time we are at ease,
The only time the pain vanishes.
The only time we can let go of the pain inside,
When we hurt outside.
We hit, we barf.
We pinch, we pull.
We do everything to make the pain go away.
But it's never enough.
It's only for a short while.
The pain always returns.
The only way to make it go away, is hurt ourselves.
