The first day of July; frigid, dull, uneventful.
At least that's how it is for me.
Most days usually are tedious, but none are as monotonous and mundane as the first of July is. (Or the first of any month, for that matter)
Normally, at least.
But this wasn't your average first of July.
I would give anything for the day to have unfolded as it usually did, but, alas, only the complete opposite occurred. I have never wished for a boring life as much as I do now.
