Flying carpets and genies aren't real,
Why would a princess care to feel,
A poison apple would kill,
The kiss couldn't heal,
Long golden hair hanging from a tower,
The princess never took a shower,
A mermaid gives up her voice,
There was another choice,
A girl kissed a frog,
Her head must be in a fog,
Fairytales are lies and dreams,
But I still sleep hoping to have these dreams.
