Louis' Point Of View
---
She truly was incredible. I'd never seen her act properly before, or even just pretend acting, but every word she said was convincing and believable, and I found it hard not to take in what she was saying. The scene we were going through was a make-up scene at one point in the film, which involved a lot of tears, anger and love, showing the whole range of skills Rosie had to offer. I guess considering what had happened earlier, turning on the tears wasn't too hard for her, and it was so hard not to reach out as comfort her when I wanted to do so badly. It was clear she was going to get this part, I could tell. I had this strange confidence in her.
I'd checked what time the audition was and we had an hour to go. Deciding it would be best to be there early, Rosie spent the next ten minutes trying to decide what to wear, in order to give off the right impression. I told her what she was wearing was fine, but apparently it was too dressed up and depressing. While she decided, I Googled how far away this building was from where I lived and I saw it would be a good half an hours drive away.
"Rosie?" I called. "You might want to hurry up a bit."
She groaned loudly. "How long do I have?"
I glanced at the time. "About two minutes. Then we really do have to leave."
Another loud groan. Apparently the wardrobe choosing wasn't going too well. Helping her, I picked out jeans, a white t-shirt and a checked shirt. That had to do.
She admired it quickly. "I guess that's the best thing that we can come up with it two minutes. Thanks."
She changed as quick as she could, and her makeup was still okay from earlier, and she put her shoes on in the car. The script had been brought along with her so she was reading them to herself in the car, in an attempt to calm herself down. I followed directions from the Sat-Nav which took us to a large building. I parked and she let out a breath loudly.
"Fuck," she muttered. "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck."
I laughed slightly. "Love, trust me, you'll be fine. Now go and be a star."
We arrived fifteen minutes early and I was glad to see we weren't the only ones. I asked the receptionist in the lobby where we were needed and she directed us up to the third floor, and along a short corridor. Around the corner were a group of ten girls, a couple of whom I recognised, such as Keira Knightly, Emma Watson and Emilia Clarke, but Rosie froze.
"That's Emma fucking Watson..." she whispered in my ear. "Fuck...."
I chuckled at her, and Emma noticed us. "Louis! Hey!"
Rosie didn't know I knew her and watching her face was priceless. She looked a cross between angry and jealous, and like she was awestruck. Cute, actually. "Emma!" She stood and I moved to hug her. "How have you been?"
She nodded. "I'm good thanks. I see you've found someone to keep you busy after Eleanor." She directed this a bit at Rosie who had followed.
I grinned and pulled her into me. "Yep. I am proud to call this beautiful girl my girlfriend."
Emma smiled. "That's so cute. So are you auditioning for this then?" She asked Rosie.
Rosie nodded. "Lou set it all up for me. But I don't know if I'm good enough."
"Don't talk silly," Emma reassured her. "You just gotta believe in yourself a little bit. And Taylor is really nice as well."
Her eyes widened. "Taylor? As in Lautner?"
Emma laughed. "Yeah. He's in there, helping choose."
Rosie's mouth dropped open. "No way... Oh shit, Louis, do I look okay?"
I rolled my eyes, while Emma laughed again. "Yes love, you look perfect. But why would that matter anyway?"
She blushed slightly. "No reason." I could've sworn I saw her wink at Emma.
We all sat down on one of the free sofas, and chatted lightly until a man poked his head out of a door and began calling names.
Two or three girls were called in, one at a time, and then the two words I was dreading to hear were read.
"Rosie Gray, please."
I stood and Louis kissed my lips quickly. "You will get this. I know it." I told her.
"Good luck!" Emma spoke from the sofa.
I watched her nervously enter the room, and the door closed behind her. Like the rest of the girls that had gone through, I'd expected her to be five minutes, at the most, but by the time fifteen minutes came around, I was starting to get a bit agitated. What could have been taking her so long? She couldn't have messed up her lines this badly and I know she'd have out everything into it... Maybe this was just all the comments they were giving her and it was taking a lot longer than usual. Or considering she was new to this, maybe she was getting tips on how to improve and become an even better actress, and how to ace an audition. I had no idea.
After half an hour of impatient waiting, Rosie pulled open the door with a huge smile on her face. It had obviously gone well then.
"It went great," she beamed as she hugged me.
"I'm glad," I told her. "I'm really really glad. When will you find out?"
She was bouncing slightly. "An hour after everyone's auditioned. So they'll phone you with an answer."
I frowned. "Me?"
She shrugged. "That's the number they have."
"Oh, okay." I glanced at my phone. "Its half six, do you wanna get something to eat?"
She bit her lip, then nodded. "Sure."
I was going to make sure she was eating properly. "Great. Where do you want to go?"
Half an hour later, we were sat towards the back of some Italian restaurant, so we wouldn't get noticed. Rosie was taking a while to look at the menu, but I held my tongue and left her to it, hoping she'd choose something that was actually food.
"Um," she hesitated as the waiter came to get our orders. She glanced at me briefly, the smiled up at him, pointing with her finger so I couldn't see. "That one please."
The waiter wrote it down and left. I raised my eyebrows at her. She smirked. "Guess you'll just have to find out."
I rolled my eyes with a grin. "Dammit."
After the food had arrived, I was pleased with her. She'd ordered a bowl of pasta, which was a huge improvement from salad constantly. We ended up staying there for an hour and a half, and had a pretty great time.
As we had just finished desert, my phone rang with an unknown number and I excused myself quickly.
"Hello?"
"Hi, this is Richard Baxter calling about an audition for a new film. Is this where I can reach Rosie Gray?" He asked and I held my breath slightly.
"Sure. Can I take a message?" I spoke.
He coughed slightly. "That would be great. Could you let her know that we loved her audition and would love to offer her the part?"
Trying to hide the grin on my face, I answered. "I'll let her know. Thanks."
I hung up and acted like it was bad news. When I looked at her, she looked disappointed and gutted, but still had wide eyes. "Rosie love... I'm sorry..." She nodded like she understood. "But you're gonna have to learn a lot more lines now!"
Her eyes lit up and she squealed slightly, her mouth forming a huge grin. "No way! Are you serious? I got it?"
I nodded and she stood up and I met her in a huge hug. "Congratulations love. I'm so proud of you."
When we sat back down, she was so excited. "I'm gonna be in a fucking movie. With Taylor fucking Lautner."
I smiled. "Yeah. You are. And I can't wait to see it."
Her face fell. "But no ones gonna watch it cause they all hate me."
My hand leaned over and took hers. "No they don't. Just do your best and I guarantee it will be a best selling film. And think about it. You beat all of those actresses there- Emma, the lot of them. That just shows how amazing you are."
She blushed. "Shutup. But thanks."
"How about we celebrate with some champagne?" I suggested and she grinned, happily calling over a waiter. "Can we have a bottle of your finest champagne?" I asked in an overly posh voice, and Rosie giggled.
Moments later, we were drinking to her success and having a great time, until I started to feel a bit tipsy, and considering I was driving, I thought this was the best time to leave. When we got back after a thankfully successful drive home, we were both shattered from the night before and the busy day, so a mutual agreement meant we were just going to go to bed.
In bed, I was facing her with my hand on her waist while we talked quietly.
"So what happens next? With the whole acting thing?" I asked.
She shrugged. "I don't know. I guess they'll get in contact again with more details, but aside from that I have no idea."
"And was Taylor actually there for the audition?"
"No," she pouted and I raised my eyebrows. "I mean, um, thankfully not..."
I laughed and kissed her forehead. "You look exhausted," I told her. "Get some sleep, my little superstar."
She leaned in and kissed my lips for a few seconds then reached and turned the light off. "Night, Boo Bear."
I groaned and pulled her into me before we closed our eyes and were asleep soon after.
