I've Got Δ DΔte?

I woke to the sound of an alarm lock buzzing. I groaned and attempted to roll over but someone's arms held me back. I opened my turned eyes and saw Dan asleep and with his arms around me. I twisted my head round so I could see the time on the alarm clock. 7am. I nudged Dan with my elbow and he groaned, opening his eyes slowly.

"Morning" he smiled.

"Good morning" I smiled back.

"Urgh, shut that up will you" Dan laughed slightly, gesturing to the ringing alarm clock with his eyes.

"When you let go of me" I laughed.

"Oh, sorry" Dan said awkwardly and blushed as he removed his arms from around me.

"Thanks" I laughed, pressing the button on the red alarm clock, stopping the annoying ringing sound.

"Thanks, what time is it?" Dan asked.

"Seven"

Dan groaned and ran his hand through his messy hair.

"Breakfast? " he asked.

"Yes please" I smiled.

We got out of bed and walked out of Dan's room. Kyle was still asleep on the sofa so I tried not to wake him, Dan however, didn't care about Kyle, he made as much noise as he could. Dan opened the cupboard and a pan fell out, making a loud crashing noise as it collided with the stone floor. Kyle screamed and sat up. I burst out laughing and he glared at me, but then started laughing too.

"Good morning" I laughed as Kyle stood up and joined us in the kitchen.

"Morning" he laughed. "What time is it?"

"Seven" I smiled.

"Seven!" Kyle moaned. "Why?"

"School, remember" I laughed.

"Lily" Dan said.

"Yeah?" I turned around to face Dan.

"Breakfast" he said as he handed me a bowl of coco pops.

"Thanks" I smiled and sat on the sofa.

I switched the TV on and drowned out Kyle and Dan's conversation, as it wasn't very interesting. I couldn't be bothered changing channels so I left BBC1 on. A moment later, Dan and Kyle joined me on the sofa, each with a bowl of cereal. We ate in silence and when I finished I put my bowl in the dishwasher.

"I'm going to have a shower" I called behind me as I walked into the bathroom.

"Okay!" Dan called back as I locked the door.

I quickly showered and got my uniform on. I brushed through my wet hair and tied it up in a bun on top of my head. I slipped my glasses back on and walked out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I quickly dried my hair and left it in its natural waves. I shoved my books back into my bag and slung it over my shoulder. I walked back out to see Dan slipping his shoes on.

"Lil, I've gotta go, I'm late, Kyle will take you to school, have a nice day, love you" he said as he ran over to me and kissed my head.

"Love you too" I waved as he ran out of the door.

"Let's get our school onnnnn" Kyle sang as he jumped up from the sofa.

"Kyle, it's only eight, we're early." I laughed, putting my bag down.

"Oh" he frowned and slumped back into the sofa.

I laughed and jumped next to him. Kyle made coffee and we watched TV for half an hour.

"Let's gooo" he cheered as he locked the apartment.

We walked to the lift and waited for the doors to open.

"So, Lilypad, made any friends yet?" Kyle asked as we got into the lift.

"No, not really, unless you count the people who I have to sit next to and are forced to talk to me" I laughed.

"Whaat? You're awesome, you should have made tonnes of friends by now" Kyle laughed.

"Yeah not if you're socially awkward" I laughed shyly.

"What? You're not socially awkward!" He prodded my stomach.

"Yeah, you even told me when we were in..." I thought for a moment before speaking. "Manchester" I laughed, remembering our conversation with Kyle.

"What, I never said that"

"Yes, you said, and I quote, 'earth to socially awkward people!'" I laughed.

"That was headed more towards Dan" he smirked.

"Yeah yeah" I giggled as we walked out of the lift and to the car.

"My lady" Kyle said in a posh accent as he held the car door open for me.

"Why thank you, Mr Simmons" I curtsied before getting into the car.

Kyle closed the door behind me and ran to the drivers seat. He climbed into the car and started the engine. He drove off down the road to school.

I climbed out of the car and Kyle got out too.

"Kyle?" I asked shyly.

"Yes?"

"Can you walk with me, sorry, I sound like a five year old on their first day at school, but I'm just scared" I said looking at my ugly school shoes.

"Sure, Lil" Kyle smiled and linked his arm in mine.

"Thanks" I smiled shyly.

He walked me to the gate and stopped.

"Have a good day, if Dan's not back, then I'll meet you here" Kyle said hugging me tightly.

"Thanks Kyle" I tightened my grip on him and then let go. I took a deep breath. "Bye Kyle"

"Bye Lilypad" he waved as he headed back to the car.

I sighed and turned around. I walked into school and made my way to form. I opened the door and walked in slowly. Everyone's heads turned my way as I entered the room. I smiled awkwardly and almost ran to my seat. Miss Jones wasn't in yet so everyone was sat talking and throwing things around. Robbie wasn't here either so I sat there awkwardly on my own. I slipped my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had three texts from Josie. I remembered that I hadn't been on my phone since I found out I was going to school. Oops. I opened the first one.

Josie : OMG you're so lucky, at least you don't have to go to the tutor! Which school? Miss you Lily xxx

Josie : Hows school? Or haven't you started yet? Miss you xxx

Josie : Lily Coleman. If you don't reply soon, I'm going to have to assume you've been abducted by Stormers. Haha kidding, miss you xxx

I smiled and began typing a reply.

Lily : Sorry Jo! I forgot about my phone, I started school yesterday. I can't believe I'm actually here. I'd rather be here than with the tutor, but it still sucks, I'd rather spend my day with Dan though. Dan had to literally drag me out of bed yesterday! This morning it was the other way round :p miss you too xxxxxx

"Miss Coleman! Phones are not allowed in school! I shall have to confiscate it" a voice from behind me said.

My heart literally jumped out of my chest and my eyes grew wide. A sudden roar of laughed made me jump again. I shoved my phone into my pocket and turned around to see Robbie standing there laughing himself sick. I frowned and turned back round.

"Jesus Robbie, you scared the crap out of me" I whispered.

"Sorry" he laughed, sitting down.

"Morning everybody" Miss Jones said as she walked into the classroom. "Alright, shut up whilst I take the register" she laughed.

She went through everyone's names and everyone replied with "Yes miss" I automatically did the same.

"Alright, you're free to talk" she said as she pulled out a large planner.

"So, uh, yesterday, I was going to ask you something" Robbie said awkwardly.

My heart increased in speed and I gulped nervously. I thought... Well hoped, he'd forgotten. Obviously not.

"Yeah?" I asked turn into face him.

"Well, I was wondering if, uh, maybe you wanted to go watch a film or something?" He asked shyly.

"Oh, uh," he just asked me out. Maybe just as friends... "Sure, as friends" I smiled.

"Well, I uh, was thinking more than that" he asked nervously.

"Oh... Um... I-I don't know, I'll check with Dan if I can go, when will we go?" I asked awkwardly.

"Tonight maybe?" He asked.

"Uh, sure, I'll text Dan now" I smiled and pulled my phone secretly out of my pocket.

I typed quickly into my phone.

Lily : Hey Dan, I was wondering if I could go to the cinema tonight with a friend? Xxx

I sent the message and slipped my phone back into my pocket. I smiled at Robbie and my phone buzzed so I quickly pulled it out of my pocket. I unlocked it to see a message from Dan.

Dan : Sure, is this friend a boy? ;) xxx

I blushed and began to type back.

Lily : Maybe... He's just a friend though :) miss you Smithy xxxx

I sent the message and put my phone back into my pocket.

"Dan said I can come" I smiled.

"Great!" he smiled.

The bell rang and I quickly stood up and walked out of the classroom.
