Daniel had his fingers entwined with hers and once in a while he squeezed her gently to remind himself that he was real, that she was real, that this was real. He had lost the ability to disappear. He had probably also lost the need to stay within her reach. But he had not wanted to test that one yet. He had not wanted to be that far away that he couldn't touch her anymore. He had not wanted to let her go anymore.
"Can you open the hotelroom, please?" Melody leaned on her crutch and she had her eyes half-closed. Even though she had just had dinner and it was barely seven pm the exhausting day had clearly taken it's toll.
"Yes, I can." He took the keys from her and he nodded once more at Max who disappeared in the room next to them. He would have to find a way to thank Max, to give him something back, to return the favour, if that was even possible. He clicked the lock open and he didn't let Melody's hand go while they walked in. With his foot he closed the door behind them again and once more he realised that Melody was his now.
She was officially his. "What are you looking at?" Melody cocked her head and she walked backwards towards the edge of the bed to sit down.
"I'm looking at you and I'm wondering..." Daniel hesitated. "I still can't believe that it worked out, that we can be together forever."
Melody smiled, but she locked her gaze with his and after she hid the crutch under the bed she grabbed both his hands and pulled him between her legs. "How horrible was it?" Melody kept on staring at him and Daniel swallowed.
"Dying?" He could barely say the word, but Melody grinned and shook her head.
"No, having to watch me and Max?" Her cheeks heated up and Daniel felt his own cheeks glowing too. "How bad was it?"
"It was the most horrible thing I've ever experienced, including the experience of today." He bent his head and avoided her glance, but Melody shove towards the headboard and pulled him on top of her.
"Then what are you waiting for?" She opened the buttons of his shirt and folded it open. While she placed her hands on his naked chest, Daniel felt a familiar shiver rolling down his spine and he could feel his entire body reacting already.
"I hope you know I didn't do this only so I could have sex with you." He pressed a kiss in her neck and he reluctantly placed a hand on her exposed belly.
"I think performing an entire ritual only for sex might be a little extreme, even for you." Melody helped Daniel to take his shirt off and she let her hands slip into the jeans that was becoming less comfortable by the second.
"You've been with Max for so long and if you want to wait, I understand..." Daniel couldn't finish his sentence and he closed his eyes when Melody shove her hands into the back of the boxershort he was wearing. Her hands on his naked skin made the jeans all of a sudden extremely painful and he swallowed a few times before he could open his eyes again. "I haven't seen you being this mean and straightforward with Max, young lady."
Melody grinned and she pulled her hands back so she could lift her own shirt up. "He has never been hesitating." She threw her shirt on the floor and then she pushed herself up so she could press a soft kiss on his lips.
"I'm not hesitating. I'm being a gentleman." Daniel protested, but Melody was already taking off her skirt so she was wearing nothing but her bra and briefs.
"It's not very gentleman like to keep a girl waiting for something she desperately wants." She laid down again and she grabbed Daniel's shoulders to pull him on top of her. "Or do you think you've been the only one fantasising about this very moment?" She placed her hands on his chest and moved them lower and lower until she could unbutton his jeans.
He quickly shove his jeans over his hips and he followed her glance while he threw the jeans on top of her shirt.
"Poor you..." She smiled once more and he felt his cheeks heating up while she placed her hand over his still growing bulge.
"Don't do that, please..." He swallowed and he pushed her hand away. "I'm afraid I won't last that long if you start touching me there already." He stared at her and then he placed his hands on her stomach, slowly moving them up until right under her breasts.
"You wouldn't need to last this long if you wouldn't pause every few seconds." Melody curled her fingers around his wrists and moved his hands up.
Daniel smiled, but he kept his hands still for at least a few seconds. Even though he wanted to be the passionate lover he had always believed himself to be, there was still a part of him that could barely believe that he was doing this, that he could do this, that he would be doing this for the rest of her life. Every time he touched her, he had to remind himself again that it was fine, that it was good, that it was allowed.
Melody let his hands go and she pulled him closer towards her once more. Her lips searched for his and she let her hands go through his hair. Then she pulled her hands back and opened the clasp of her bra.
Quickly Daniel took his hands off of her bra, but right after Melody had thrown the piece of clothing on top of the rest she grabbed his hands again and put them back.
"You're not going to tell me that you don't know what I like, are you?" She grinned and he started to let his finger circle around her nipples before he started to kiss the bare skin of her chest. "Good, I was already afraid I would have to explain it to you. I'm bad with putting those things into words."
Daniel couldn't help laughing out loud and he let his hands wander over her sides until he reached the soft fabric of her briefs. He fought the urge to rip it down in one movement. Instead he took his time. He had seen her naked before, but he still had the feeling he was seeing it all for the first time.
Maybe it was because she seemed to be even more beautiful than she had already been. Maybe it was because this time she was smiling and glowing because he was the one touching and kissing her.
He pressed his lips to her stomach and while he moved her briefs down he kept on kissing and kissing her. When he kissed the sensitive area between her spread legs she moaned and closed her eyes. He threw her briefs on top of the pile with clothing while he kept on kissing her. His hands rested on her thighs and hers kept on going through his hair.
"Daniel?" She could barely talk, but she grabbed his shoulders and he looked up so his eyes could meet hers. "I'm ready if you are." She nodded at him and he knew what she meant.
He quickly pushed himself up and he pressed a soft kiss on her nose and her lips. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. For one last time he hesitated, but before she could tease him with it again he placed his hands next to her head. Smoothly he moved his hips and Melody held her breath while he pushed himself inside of her.
She smiled however and immediately she started to move her body. Her hands fell next to her head, but she let het hips follow his rhythm.
Daniel couldn't help wondering if he had watched her a few too many times or if their bodies were simply made for each other. A smile spread across his face when he realised that maybe somehow he had been looking for her for centuries. Maybe somehow his entire life, including the countless ones he had lead before meeting her, had been building up towards this very moment. Maybe somehow he had been waiting for her and maybe somehow she had been waiting for him too.
Pearls of sweat covered his forehead. His chest was moving up and down and his heart was racing pumping the blood in his veins around.
Melody was breathing heavily, sighing once in a while. She had her eyes closed and she moved her back up and threw her head in her neck.
He had dreamed of her hands touching his body. He had dreamed of her lips kissing his naked skin. He had dreamed of making love to her.
It was everything he had hoped it would be and more. It was worth it. It was absolutely worth it.
He closed his eyes too, but he didn't stop moving.
His body and her body were completely in synch as if they weren't two people but only one.
He felt his entire body tingle. He felt a shiver rolling down his spine. The muscles in his stomach tensed and tensed and this time he embraced the endless nothing and the absolute nowhere. This was the kind of nothing and nowhere he had been longing for. This was the kind of nothing and nowhere he would never fight.
"Daniel?" Melody placed her hands on his cheeks and when his eyes flashed open again he realised that he had stopped moving. "Is everything okay?"
A bright smile spread across his face and he nodded while he started moving his hips again. Carefully he pressed his thumb between her leg and she moaned loudly while she pushed her hips up. "I'm better than okay." He let his thumb circle and circle while his hips kept pushing and pushing. "I'm perfect. What about you?" He fastened his rhythm and Melody grabbed the sheets while she almost bit off her own tongue.
"I'm perfect too." She almost screamed the last word and Daniel placed a hand in her neck while he enjoyed the sight of her completely losing herself.
"You still have no idea how much I love you, Melody."
