(M/N) was a college student when he began writing Mr. Kirkland. At first it was just messages, but after a couple of weeks Mr. Kirkland invited (M/N) out for a cup of coffee at a local café. It began being a routine and after a couple of 'dates', Arthur began slipping (M/N) some money to pay for college.
They began seeing more often and Mr. Kirkland, who was really named Arthur, began buying (M/N) all kinds of things. They were all very expensive and (M/N) felt like he couldn't keep draining Arthur from his money, but the older man kept insisting. Arthur was very sweet really and (M/N) would be lying if he told anyone he didn't enjoy Arthurs company. The young man was beginning to fall for Arthur, even though he felt it was a little weird. Arthur was spoiling (M/N) like crazy, feeling like if he didn't do so, (M/N) would be right out the door and he would be lonely again, just as before he met the young boy.

You were walking down the street, rushing to get to the small café located on a corner close to your college. You was meeting up with your so called 'sugar daddy' Arthur Kirkland. The two of you were going to have a nice cup of tea, but for some reason you were late. Your teacher had told you to stay for a while after class to discuss something you didn't quite understand ,when they were talking about it in class only minutes earlier.
When you were done you had multiple text from Arthur asking if you weren't coming. You had texted him back telling him that of course you were coming and that you'd explain when you got to the café.
You stopped in front of the glass door, opening it looking inside. You looked around for Arthur before you spotted him in the corner sitting with a newspaper and a cup of tea. You took off your coat, walking over to the table. "Hello Mr. Kirkland!" You said planting a small kiss on his cheek, before sitting down. "Well, good morning, dear" Arthur answer, putting away his newspaper, looking into your eyes afterwards. "How was school?" He asked taking a sip of his tea. Before you could answer he had called a waitress over asking for a 'nice cup of early grey tea, thank you' for you. As the waitress walked away he looked at you again. "What were you saying, love?" He asked making you blush a bit. You would always get kind of embarrassed when he would call you things as love, darling and dear. "Well school was nice, but my teacher, Mr. Beilschmidt had me stay late, so he could explain me something I didn't understand in class" You explained taking a sip of your tea that had just arrived. "That's why I was late, Mr. Kirkland. But I told him I had an appointment, so I could get to you faster" You said looking at Arthur a little blush over your face. "I would rather be with you, than in school, it's very hard!" You exclaimed making Arthur look at you. "Well, I think it's very important you get your education, that's what i'm paying for after all" Arthur told, reminding you that most of the money you used to stay in college, was actually his. "Yes, Mr. Kirkland" You said looking down in your lap, ashamed of how you spoke about his money, as if it was nothing to you. Arthur then took your hand in his, making you look up again. "Dear, I've told you before, Arthur is just fine, besides it okay to feel that school is hard" He said nuzzling your hand as he continued "I remember when I was in school I found it quite hard as well! But now I'm a successful writer!" He exclaimed looking at you.
You didn't really know what to say, so you ended up spending the next couple of minutes just drinking your tea and enjoying each others company, Arthur still holding your hand. "W-Would you perhaps like to come back to my place sometime?" Arthur asked, breaking the silence. You'd never actually been at Arthurs home, but he had told you it was very big. When you started 'going out' with Arthur, you had both agreed to let it be a public place to make sure you're were feeling comfortable. After all Arthur was quite a lot older than you. Around 10 years and although you were both legal, you still wanted to do it said way. You looked at Arthur giving him a smile. "Mr. Kirkland, I don't know, w-what would we e-even do.. A bit silly.. hehe.." You said blushing trying to laugh it off. Arthur looked down at his tea, taking a small sip. Arthur had really fallen for you and he was hoping you'd feel the same way. When you saw how sad he got, you moved over sitting next to him, taking his hand making him look at you. "I-If you'd really like it, Mr. Kirkland i'll come to your home. I don't like seeing you sad" You said kissing his cheek. "When would you like me to come over?" You asked, making Arthurs face light up. "If you wouldn't mind, I would love for you to come this evening for dinner?" He asked hopeful. You didn't really have anything to do this evening, you didn't have any homework, at least not anything important and anything was better than hearing you're neighbours doing the frick frack. Again. Your dinner probably wouldn't be much more than some scraps or one of those cheap re-heat foods you could buy everywhere. "Sure I'll come to dinner tonight" You answered. "Arthur I got to get going, but will you pick me up? I can just text you my address?" You asked picking your things up, putting your phone in your pocket as you put on your jacket. Arthur just nodded, giving you a small hum as he took the last sip of his tea. "I'll see you later then, right love?" He said as he stood up hugging you goodbye. You nodded giving him a small peck on the cheek before walking off and outside.
As you walked home you couldn't help but think about how you would be spending your night with Arthur. What was going to happen besides a nice dinner? You played out different scenarios in your head, liking some more than others. At the end you couldn't help but feel excited, because this time it was a real date. Not him paying you to show up, but both of you liking each others company, wanting to spend more time together. This time it just happened to be in Arthurs home.
