And I looked at him and said “Leira, Pops wants us there as soon as possible” Trying to read his thoughts.
Akule told him to come home as long as were done. But this time I’m not coming with them.
“Have a rest and sleep – you’re going to have a long drive” I said
Then Emily nodded.
Then Harc said “Sleep here and rest yourselves then I’ll show you the shortcut.”
Connor nodded to Harc.
“Lunch is ready Alpha” a woman said
And Harc held my hand then sat on his side to a long table where every other wolf was joining. Facing Connor and next to him was Emily.
I was looking at the food they had. A green stringed beans and a slice of pork.
“What? – you don’t eat that?” Harc asked.
“Harc – Leira is curious about everything – I have told you that what she sees now are different” Connor said
And I started eating
“I would like us to wait for my parents to come back before a pack meeting” Harc said
And everyone nodded. Then continued eating silently.
Lunch was done and everyone dispersed. Connor and Emily decided to have a run with the others. Leaving me to Harc.
I looked through his glass – walled room and he stood beside me. We were silent until he asked “What’s your wolfs name?”
“Amber” I said and asked “Yours?”
“Hunter” he answered
“Harc you need to run in groups of 6 alternately not leaving the perimeter and tighten your skill.” I told him
“No need for you to say that” he said
“I am called vicious because of how I train my men.” He said
And looked back to the open.
After dinner – Connor and Emily were already sleeping and I lay to bed with my pajamas on. Looking at the open.
Then I sensed Harc coming and he came in closed the door and went to the bathroom and I looked at him – shirtless, wiping his face with a towel and his body was perfectly toned.
He threw the towel on the hamper and then went to the window and closed the curtains. I was watching every movement he made and then he lie to bed.
His one arm was on his head and one on his chest looking at the ceiling, I was looking at him and he looked at me.
“Who are you?” he asked and I looked to the ceiling “I am Leira”
HARC’S POV
Connor came with his mate and he brought someone. My beta told me about it and they are escorted to the pack house.
Then my beta came to my office and said “Our visitors have arrived”
And I went out of my office and I smell a different scent that I had never smell my entire existence. Then I went to the door and saw a blonde – white as snow lady. She was skinny but is standing out. Hunter my wolf then howled and said ‘mate’.
She was different I know – her one pupil was Amber and one was blue. Her nails got long and shiny black and my wolf said ‘a monster’
Then she went inside the car and I talked to Connor. I am very much pulled to her, very interested and I don’t know why she was hiding.
“That’s my sister” Connor said
“Since when – she’s pretty special” I told him
“She’s adopted” Connor said
“She’s my mate” I told him
And then went to where she was seated and opened the door. Her scent blew me away and I could hear her heart beat pounding.
I asked her why she was hiding but she’s not talking. I held her hand and the claws were getting back and her Amber eyes turned blue I knew it was her wolf so I said ‘I could control her’
We went inside my office and Connor told me there business as a return for their request – Leira stays with me.
And they agreed. I know Connor was hesitant but he had no choice.
I showed Leira our room and she was silent. I myself is a silent – type of guy. But I know that Leira is a mystery to solve. And I like it that way.
Everything she tells me is pure honesty. I know if someone is lying. She’s not from here and o am ready to unfold her secrets. Something big she is to tell.
LEIRA’S POV
Morning came and I woke up in Harc’s arm. I didn’t know how that even happened. But Amber and I were glad. I slowly rose up so not to wake him. I went out with my sleeping clothes on.
I knew I was too early because the sun is yet to shine and an old women was already in the kitchen.
“Good morning” she said looking at me differently.
“We haven’t introduced I am Leira” I said
“Nice meeting you Leira I am Juana from this pack.” She said
“Oh that – I came from Acharya Pack” I said
“Akule“ she said and nodded
“Why up so early?” she asked
“I sensed you relentless” I said
“Sorry to wake you up Leira” she said
“It’s okay Juana, I could always sleep through the day” I said and then she offered me a cup of chocolate.
“Thank you” I said
“What’s going on?” I asked her.
“Every morning I cook for everyone and I cook the same thing, I wanted to cook more of something.” She said and I sensed Emily who said “I could help”
“Good morning” Juana said
“Good morning to both of you” Emily said as she entered and then opened the refrigerator – of what they sometimes called fridge. Then she took ingredients and put it on the counter and said “Everything okay with you and Harc?”
“Yes” I answered
“Harc is a silent – man and an unpredictable Alpha – can’t always read him. Moody but a good heart he hides” Juana said
Emily was teaching Juana with new recipes and I was watching them. Trying to help and then the sun rays started to hit my eyes. I left what I was doing and followed the breeze. I was in the open looking at the sun with my arms open – feeling the heat the sun could offer.
I felt light when I could see the sun getting high – it was fast and then I sensed someone looking at me. I looked through the glass walled window and saw Harc shining – sun ray’s hitting his body and his green eyes that reflects through it.
I opened my mind link but he wasn’t talking.
“Leira” Emily shouted and I went to her leaving Harc with a look.
“Sorry I got carried away” I told Emily.
“I know” she said and smiled. Then said “Breakfast is almost ready” then I went up and looked at Harc still looking at the open. Now with the curtains fully opened.
I stood beside him and he said “If you wake up at least kiss me in the forehead” as he kissed me and his hand on my shoulder.
“Breakfast is almost ready” I told him and I showered and changed my clothes. I was surprised that he was already ready.
Then we went down and I sat beside him. Facing Connor and Emily beside him. Then I noticed Joseph who since yesterday I was seated with.
Breakfast was done, Connor and Emily were already prepared to go.
Emily said “If you need us – call us, okay?”
“I promise” I told her and hugged her tight whispering ‘Thank you’ and she then went inside the car. Then Connor came and held my shoulders. “Leira, I know you could take care of yourself but if anything goes wrong call us okay?” he said then I hugged him wanting to express how thankful I was for him bringing me here.
“Okay Leira – we have to go” Connor said pushing me slowly.
“Thank You brother for accepting me and most of all bringing me here.” I told him
“Don’t mention it Leira – remember what I said” he said and then went to his car opened the door and said “Bye Leira” and I waved to them.
Then Harc’s hand was on my shoulder. It was actually sad that they left me.
“They’ll give a call when they arrive” Harc said
