{Denial}
My heart was like the ocean, deep, intensity of secrets and wonders,
much greater than any barrier could derive.
My mind refused it was happening,
instead it looked to the dozen rosebuds thrown over the bed, floor, window shield.
As the beautiful light came from the burning candles,the atmosphere perfectly chosen.
Glooming of romance and the way love shone through the window-curtains.
Mesmerized by his gaze glued to my eyes,
while our bodies intertwine,
it was a nice evening in mid-June.
I could swear the birds whistled and made tunes to this memorable night,
singing "make love to you" by Boyz 2 Men.
Toes curl, hands hold passionate,
but only undevotion shout from across the street.
