“Should we really be letting him do that,” Soul asked Maka watching how Kid was choking Eevee for dear life. No doubt Eevee was trying to escape his grip for dear life. He chuckled, “Eevee's got her hands full and can't even ditch the academy. Terrible luck to have the kid of the academy founder stick to you like a leech.”

Maka sighed knowing all too well that Soul was enjoying this small scene of torture of Eevee and Kid. Since the day before when Kid had first laid eyes on Eevee he had refused to let her out of his sight and out of his grip. He was either hanging from her wait or leeched on to her shoulders. In an occasion Eevee had been dragging him along the floor as he refused to let go of her leg until Curran managed to pull him off. Needless to say that didn't end so well for Curran as he had 'touched' Kid's 'goddess'.

“Maybe this will be good for her,” Maka tried to convince herself of it as well, “She's going to be at the academy a lot more now that Kid's tracking her down.”

“Yeah,” Soul answered, “But I doubt this will be any good for Kid. Eevee's gonna have her hands full, too.”

“We just need to keep her partially covered so Kid will stop bothering her.” she reasoned. Her eyes lit up with a quick idea to have Kid ignore Eevee long enough to get some studying done. “Hey, Eevee, can I try something on you?”

She turned her golden brown eyes towards her with a silent plea for Maka to safe her. Of course that's what Maka was trying to do, but looking at Eevee's desperate eyes made her try even harder. Eevee needed to get a high score on this coming exam and she wasn't going to be able to do it if she had Kid hanging from her neck through the academy hours, and even after those hours finished.

“What are you doing to my goddess Eevee,” Kid cried as he watch Maka reach up for her twin tails. “Don't undo her perfect hair!”

“This idiot's a handful. I can't believe he's making us into the laughing stock of the academy” Liz mumbled as Patty laughed beside her.

They were all watching how Kid was wrapped around the front of Eevee, her arms wrapping underneath his arms holding him up as tears fell dramatically down his face when he figure out Maka was trying to so something to Eevee's hair. Each time Maka touched part of Eevee's twin tails Kid would let out a loud wailing sound that made everyone cover their ears in pain. Maka reached for Eevee and once again Kid let out a wail until Eevee had started cooing at him as if he were a small child, caressing his hair until he stop.

“You shouldn't be nice to him,” Liz pointed out to Eevee as Kid snuggled closer into her neck, “It'll just make it impossible to get rid of him. Knock him out, call him a asymmetrical garbage and he'll let you go. Maybe even forget about you for a while.”

Eevee seemed depressed by having Kid pay so much attention to her and even though it was clear she didn't like him being sad, she didn't want him praising her for nothing. Maka had stopped trying to touch her hair and was pouting that Eevee was no longer trying to get away from Kid was was instead holding on to him tightly. She was either thinking of a plan that involved him being at close range or she was just at a loss on what to do or maybe she was just distracted by the multiple attention Kid had cause her to receive.

“Hey, what're you kids doing out here,” Professors Stein had managed to roll his way in between the student without being notice. He turned his attention two Kid and Eevee as Eevee had let out a small gasp for breath, “Are you two going to start a fight with no supervision today as well.”

“That's not really possible if you're here,” Eevee shoved Kid away and with a kick sent him into Black Star before he had a chance to speak. “We'll have supervision whether we want to or not.”

Professor Stein smirked at her answer, “And here I thought you were a model student and weren't going to fight in front of a teacher because of the rules. Heh, but you're just itching for a fight like the rest of this bunch.”

Eevee always managed to get distracted when Professor Stein came into view and she would always stare in his direction as if in a trance. Maka had never understood why and even though there were rumor, she never really suspected anything. Not until Eevee had said that he had marked her for dissecting. All the rumors would hit a wall at this information, but Eevee hadn't seem to notice them and there for the inform of Professor Stein wanting to dissect her would stay between her and Maka.

“We were just heading to class Professor,” Maka said politely trying to to laugh as Eevee took Liz's advice and kept kicking Kid off herself. “Wait a minute, why did you come looking for us if we still have a couple of minutes?”

“Because,” he was eying Eevee with Kid strapped do her waist and Curran's arm pulling at Kid's neck, “I need you for the new Shibusen students. A demonstration of your abilities. As well as one that Eevee has been practicing on.”

Maka turned to Eevee, having now discarded Kid and shoving Curran in front of her as a wall. They had spent the whole night studying and not once had she mention she was that she was learning a new attack. Maybe it had slipped her mind or didn't want to say anything until she mastered it. Whatever the reason behind her silence, it made Maka rethink of what Eevee had been up to when she went missing. Maybe it was a good thing that Kid was here to keep her at the academy.

“SO THE NEW KIDS WANT TO SEE THE GREAT BLACK STAR – ”

“I think he meant us, not you,” Eevee pushed him into the wall, “I haven't perfected nothing, though. Curran kept chickening out.”

“I did not!”

“Yes, you did! Remember when we ask Ox Ford? You ran across to the other side of the city. It's was too much of an embarrassment and that why you couldn't show your face in the academy until yesterday.”

Maka's eye twiched at this new knowledge of the two. She had been partially right, Eevee had been practicing the new ability, but the reason she hadn't come to the academy was because she had failed at completing it. Also, Curran had the tendency to runaway when ever Eevee was working him too hard, which she hardly did and was the reason why it was to much for the weapon.

“If we've had enough of your little show,” Professor Stein started to roll away with the students behind him, “We have to do this quickly. I have some dissecting to do.”

“Endangered species?” asked Eevee.

Stein grinned.

“I think that mean 'no'.” Maka said as Eevee took a few steps towards Kid and away from Professor Stein. It was probably the only time she ever had an attentive light in her eyes; because she didn't want to be the one dissected.

“I don't know why they put me to demonstrate to a bunch of little kids,” Professor Stein announced to the group of new Shibusen students, “Sid already went through the basic, so I don't understand why there need to be a demonstration.”

“DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING HE SAID, THE GREAT BLACK STAR IS HERE TO BRIGHTEN YOUR NAME AND TO LET YOU KNOW THAT NONE OF YOU WILL SURPASS THE GREAT ME. BECAUSE I'M THE GREATEST ASSASIN IN SHIBUSEN AND CAN'T BE DEFEATED MY ANYONE. NOT EVEN THE GODS! – ”

He was sent flying across the room much to the new student's surprise that Professor Stein said nothing. Eevee stood a few inches from the spot where Black Star had once been with one hand in a fist. Kid was handing from her waist again making hr face a bit blue as the student kept a close eye on her. Professor Stein had wanted to inform the students about Meister and weapon using Eevee and Curran, but Eevee was already looking sick from having all those eyes on her.

“Well, this is double cross sword Meister Eevee Yule,” Professor Stein began having noticed that Eevee would most likely bolt from the room at any moment. “and demon double cross sword Curran Veils. Eevee.”

Eevee made a small choking sound as Curran positioned himself next to her and kicked Kid away to the side. He rolled on the floor and landed laid out on the feet of Liz and Patty, who laughed and left him there in agony as Eevee took hold of Curran's hand. Not a word passed through them as Curran dissolved into a long, black and silver cylinder case.

“They will show you how how it's done.” Professor Stein explained from his chair keeping a close eye on Eevee and paying no attention towards the student. “ They are not things; both Meisters and weapons are fellow human being. If you are able to breath in unison, it won't matter if you apply force to the weapon it will still move.”

It was strange watching Eeve do this with Curran still being in his case, but Maka was more distracted with the thoughts one when she was used to show the student. It was easier, she thought, for her because Soul was a demon scythe, but Curran was a double cross sword that hadn't even been open. He easily moved around Eevee's hands and even when she lifted it up he didn't fall or lose any kind of rhythm.

“For this to work, however, the Meister must understand the weapon's will and vice-versa.”

Eevee had lost on notice of the crowd and was something amazing to see even if Curran was still in the case. Maka could even see the first time she had met Eevee; she had been fighting two student on top of the school. Like she was doing now, Eevee kept Curran in his case and made several flips without touching him. Brought him over her shoulders, around her waist and threw him over her head from behind her.

Then came that cunning swiftness that had been there since day one and that no one seem to be aware of until it was too late. Eevee threw Curran up into the air and as he flipped, she twirled on the spot and she stopped, Curran had been pulled out into two swords. One pointing straight at the throat of one of the student and the other being held behind her with the sharp end pointed down.

“TRYING TO OUT SHINE THE GREAT BLACK STAR, HUH?!”

'Whack!'

With a swift twirl, barely slow enough for the eyes of the student to catch it, Eevee had sent the sword that had been pointed at the new student's throat flying across the room passing Black Star half an inch beside his face. It stuck into the wall behind him where everyone could once Black Star fell on his back as the weapon had been charged by Eevee's soul wavelength.

Maka's eyes narrowed. That was not something new and it wasn't something Curran would runaway from if practiced daily. So. . .Eevee was still going to demonstrate something. Something that made even Professor Stein smile like a madman in front of everyone in the room. What was Eevee hiding?

“Eevee's going to demonstrate something with Death the Kid and his demon twin pistols.”

Liz and Patty jumped a bit as their names were called as apparently they had not known about this. Neither did Kid who had an arm around each girl and still being slightly disoriented because Curran had been holding Eevee's hand. He finally came to his senses when Eevee turned to look at him with Curran back on his case and being held in one hand. The symmetry was off because of Curran, which may have been the reason why Kid was acting a bit normal now.

“I've never heard about this,” he stepped forward to met Professor Stein.

“Relax, Kid, you just have to shoot at Eevee,” Professor Stein said to Kid's utmost horror.

“Shoot at her?! I don't want to shoot at my precious Eevee,” he cried outraged.

“Eevee, demonstration.”

“The point was for him to shoot me, not for me to slash him,” she answer.

“Doesn't anyone take anything serious!?” Maka shook her head at Eevee's argument, “Hurry up and do the demonstration so we can get back to class!”

Eevee threw Curran slightly up in the air where he did a small flip before landing back into her left hand. Kid positioned himself across from her with a pistol in each hand and even though he looked determined to attack Eevee, anyone could clearly see he didn't wan't to shoot at her. Eevee on the other hand looked ready to hurt him; maybe she wanted to pay him back for all those embarrassing moment that had happen since the day before.

“Go!”

Kid brought up his guns as Eevee split Curran and slashed him up to block Kid's attack. It took Maka a while to understand what was going on and what it was that Professor Stein was trying to show the new students. Eevee was trying to synch her soul wavelength with Kid's, match him exactly, and to make it possible for her to stop his soul wavelength ocmpletely. As he shot his guns, Eevee used Curran's double blade and twisted them in the air until they collided with each shot.

'THUNK!'

She was sent flying back against the wall letting out a gasp of pain as she crashed into it. Black Star let out a loud barking laughter and processed to taunting Eevee for her loss. Kid was crying his eyes out calling himself an abomination and declaring he didn't deserve to live for hurting his 'symmetrical goddess Eevee'.

“I'M A HORRIBLE SWINE! – DESPICABLE GARBAGE! – AN ABOMINATION!”

“That did not go as planned,” Professor Stein was simply looking at Eevee's shocked form on the floor. “Maybe you should have practice some more.”

“You psychopath!” Curran yelled at him crouching down beside Eevee. “Eevee, stand up!”

“Oh, well, it was worth a try even if the outcome was no surprise at all.” Curran glared at him as Eevee got on her elbows to do the same. “Forgetting about your failure, Eevee, Lord Death requested your presence. Yours as well, Kid.”

He was on his feet in seconds, tear stains all gone from his face as he took on a more serious look. Eevee was standing beside Curran with one arm tugging at his own so she could get her footing correctly. Her eyes glowed lightlt at the sound of Lord Death because she had been waiting for something like this since Kid took her mission in Anubis.

“IT WAS ME WHO WAS – ”

“Shut up.” Eevee smashed him into the wall. “Let's go, Curran.”

They walked out with Liz, Patty, and Kid walking behind them. Eevee squeal as she was tackled and stumbled a couple of steps before regaining her posture. Her hands wrapped around Kid's arms that kept finding their way onto her waist. No matter how much she pulled Kid would not let go of her as he started crying over who-knows-what.

“Why,” Eevee said through gritted teeth, “Why does he keep doing this?! It's embarrassing!”

“We're sorry,” Liz apologized as she tried to help Curran pry off Kid, to no luck. “He's just like that. You might want to try actually not being symmetrical in your clothing style. Wear a side pony tail – ”

'Rip!'

Eevee had just ripped part of her school vest from the right side and was now showing part of her white blouse. Kid stared for a minute, and then for another, and another. He let out a loud, ear piercing scream that made Eevee recoil to the wall, but Kid had lunged to her again and had taken her by the shoulder.

“Why did you do that?!” he screamed. “We need to fix it right away! It atrocious! – Hideous!”

Eevee had enough with his last comments. All this only because she wasn't symmetrical any more, who did he think he was?!

“Who are you to talk,” she yelled back touching his hair, “Three lines on the left side of your hair and not the right? At least my fault is repairable, you freak!”

Liz had been standing behind Kid crossing her arms into and X and shaking her head furiously to each side. Eevee hadn't noticed this motion until she had yelled at Kid and he had thrown himself into her stomach hugging her tightly around her waist and balling his eyes out into her ruined vest. Her face paled, her eyes blank, and she passed out because of the amount of physical contact she had been under since she met Kid.

Eevee wasn't used to so much affection by anyone. In reality, she only tolerated touching Curran because he was her weapon. Any other person, well, she had to suck it up and deal with as much as she could before passing out.

“Eevee?! Hang in there – get off her you, freak!”
