Chapter V: [Gumi's Nicknaming At The Kagane Residence]
[Rin's POV]:
|Flashback:
Day EE results are released,
August 15, Friday Dusk|
After Gumi's call a car...scratch that I mean a limousine arrived.
She even gave me a ride home.
I gave her the directions.
"So now will you tell me your full name?" She asked happily.
I of course ignored her.
"Uwaaah, you still won't tell?" She asked.
I just nodded.
Silence filled the car.
Soon enough we arrived at my house.
"Where is your house?, all I see is a shed" Gumi asked.
Shed?, she calls my house a shed?
She must be pretty rich to say that.
"It's ugh...The shed" I said miserably.
"Ohmygoshimsosorryididntknow!" She said so fast I didn't quite catch what she just said, but I think its an apology.
"It's okay, I accept that I'm poor" I muttered to myself.
"Holy crap I offended you!" She started freaking out and yet a gaining ignore her.
"Stop over thinking it...I'm not offended."
"It's okay Rin-Chan I'll make sure you'll be able to stay in VCA"
Oh so now I have a nickname?
"Rin-Chan?" I question stepping out of her limousine.
"Oh you don't like that?, how about Rin-Tan?" She questioned again.
I shook my head in disagreement.
"Rin-nyan?" She suggested.
I frowned, "No,"
"Rin-Chi?" She asked again now pouting.
We were already at the door.
I took my keys out of my pocket and of course opened the door.
I let her in because she was already forcing her way in.
"Ri-Nya?" She asked.
I shake my head again.
We passed by the living room.
I walked directly up to the stairs.
"Rin-nan!" She exclaimed, as though it was the best.
"No it sounds bad, I'll just change make yourself at home on the living room" I said pointing at the space we just passed by.
She nodded.
I directly went to my room and as I closed my door I heard a muffled suggestion.
"R-Chan!"
"No!" I answered back loudly.
I changed my clothes quickly.
Don't ask what I wore, I'm not girly so I don't wear dresses or skirts that much, unlike the girl downstairs Gumi, she's girly.
Well, I shouldn't judge...This is the first to I met her.
Wait....can wearing a skirt be considered girly?
Nevermind, I'll slip this thought and just get changed.
I'm not explaining what I am to wear beacuse I don't like describing clothes I'm not much of a fashionista.
"Oh gosh how about N-Chan?!" She exclaimed loudly.
How loud can her voice be that it still reached my room?
I sighed.
Honestly this girl is getting on my nerves.
"No!," I answers loudly again.
I walked to my door and opened it.
"Gumi?" I questioned aloud.
No response.
I went downstairs to check the living room.
And to my disappointment and frustration she was not there.
This girl litteraly moves fast.
"Gumi!" I called aloud.
Damn it she was just here a while ago.
"GUMI!" I called again.
I heard muffled giggles in the kitchen I ran there.
To my utter relief she was there with mom and dad.
"Okay how about R-N-Chan?" She asked my mom,
"Doesn't fit her" Mom answered.
"But it sounds cute honey" Dad protests.
"No it doesn't" Mom also protests.
Gumi starts giggling.
"Ummm," I spoke aloud.
There attention turned to me.
"Oh Rin, your friend is quite adorable" Mom said.
"I-ugh....umm, just met her" I said hesitantly.
"What?!, really? But you guys sound like close friends" Mom said.
"We just met I don't thi -" I was cut off.
"But we will soon be best friends when school starts!" Gumi interuppted happily.
"Really?, are you also going to Sony High?" Dad asked.
Sony High is the school where my parents want me to study.
Well they have a very cheap tution fee of course they would want me to study there.
"No," Gumi said puzzled.
"But Rin's going to have to study there...because unfortunately we can't afford to pay the tution fee for VCA" Mom informed.
"Eeeh?, that's okay she's going to study at VCA, I'll talk to Sweety Weeny Boo" Gumi said.
Sweety Weeny Boo? Who the he'll is that?
"Umm, Sweety Weeny Boo?" I asked giggling.
"Uwaa!, you think its funny too right?" She asked happily.
"I guess," I answered honestly.
"It's actually longer but I promised not to use the most effective and embarrassing one" Gumi explained.
"So who's nickname was that?" I asked.
" a friend of mine who studies at VCA, and he'll be helping us get you to be enrolled" she smiled.
"Okay,"
"Ne Gumi-Chan, why won't you join us for dinner?" Mom suggested.
"Oh really?, then I'd be very delighted!" She exclaimed.
We all sat on the table.
Mom prepared a lot...that was because we had a guest and it would be embarrassing not to serve up something at least more affordable and a bit expensive.
Silence filled the dinning table.
No one spoke.
Well let me rephrase that.
Throughout the time we started dinner I didn't say a thing while on the other hand my Mom and Dad were giggling and laughing at Gumi's stories.
But one line caught my attention.
"Was it not rainy a while ago?" Dad asked.
Gosh Dad, he must have meant this morning not a while ago.
Gumi went silent and didn't answer.
Is something wrong?
"That's it!" Gumi exclaimed standing up from her chair happily.
All of us were shocked at her sudden movements.
"Rinny!" She exclaimed again.
Rinny?
"What?" I asked.
"Rinny," she answered still standing up.
"By that?" I questioned again.
"I finally figured out a cute nickname!, and its Rinny!" Mom and Dad giggled at her suggestion
I blushed, the nickname was a bit embarrassing to hear.
"N-no, it's embarrassing" I said.
"No it's perfect!" She tried persuading me.
Oh god if she calls me that aloud then I'm going to be ashamed of myself.
"Like hell I'd agree!"
"No no no, Rinny sounds really cute!"
"No I don't like it!"
"But its cute!"
"But I don't like it!"
"No you should like it because its cute!"
"Doesn't mean it's cute I should like it! "
"Aha!, So you agree it's cute!"
"No I don't!"
"But its cute,"
"No I-" I was cut off by mom faking a loud cough.
"No fighting on the dinning table" Dad reminded,
"Oh sorry my manners" Gumi said.
"Fine, sorry" I grumbled a bit.
"Come on its cute...And I'll be the only one to call you that" she said.
"Are you sure only you will?" I asked.
" Yeah very much," she sat back on her chair.
"If someone dare call you that nickname he or she should be a friend of yours" Gumi Saud smiling.
"Fine Rinny does sound kind of cute," I said looking away from her.
"Uwaaah, Rinny's embarrassed~" Gumi teased while mom and dad snickered at her teasing tone.
"Oh shut up," I muttered with a blush.
"Oooh~ Rinny is blushing!" Gumi exclaimed.
I just rolled my eyes at her.
"S-shut up!"
"Oh dear~, Rinny is a Tsun~ Tsundere~!" Gumi teased.
"Wait Gumi-Chan, how would Rinny get in VCA if she's not a scholar?" Mom asked.
Is everyone here litteraly going to use that?
"And how will that friend of yours get her in? " Dad chimed in.
"Well that's easy he just has to beg his mom or dad and poof she's in!" Gumi explained,
"I don't get the logic in that" Mom said honestly.
"Well his father owns the school. It should be really easy" Gumi admitted.
"That idea of yours sounds like....Well honestly speaking it has no sense at all." I told her.
"Don't worry if Rinny doesn't get in VCA then I'm moving to Sony High" she announced cheerfully.
"That's very nice of you Gumi-Chan" Mom said to Gumi sincerely.
"Well enough talking let's finish our food" Dad told us and we followed.
