I stood in my front yard with my two best friends. My car was stuffed with all my belongings and my dad had already left in his car carrying his stuff.

"Where are you moving to? Can we visit? Is it close?" Sarah asked while the three of us held each other in a group hug.

"I don't even know what it's called," I whined, "It's some town on the other side of L.A. almost an hour away." I single tear rolled down my cheek but I quickly wiped it away with the back of my hand. I pulled away so I could look both of them in the face.

"Who's gonna talk about One Direction with you? You always want to and I--I always do. Even when I don't really feel like it," Olivia began to sniffle as she rambled on, "So--so who's it gonna be now? Who--who will you fangirl with? Sarah won't be there, I won't be there…" Olivia broke down and started to cry. Soon, Sarah and I were crying too.

I wrapped my arms around both of them and we just stood there on my front yard crying and hugging. We stood on my dead, brown grass in front of my mustard colored house with it's paint pealing and the shutters lopsided. Just then my phone ran, so I broke away from the hug and pulled out my phone.

"It's my dad," I said and I wiped away my tears with my sleeve. The other girls did the same and I sucked in my breath before I answered the phone. "Dad." I said to the person on the other line. "Ya, okay…fine, fine, I get it…whatever…. okay, okay, I'm on my way, geez." I ended the call and put my phone into my pocket. "I have to go. My dad is getting mad he wants me to help unload everything into the apartment."

"What? Apartment? You got down-graded?!" Olivia yelled, shocked and confused. Then Sarah chimed in too.

"How many rooms? You still get your own room, right? You're not sleeping on the couch, are you?" Sarah asked me worriedly.

"One bathroom, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a tiny extra room my dad will take for his TV and stuff. Let's just say life sucks." I sighed as my phone rang again. I pulled it out of my pocket and checked who was calling. The three of us hovered over the phone and all saw it was my dad.

"You better go. If he wants your help you should help him," Olivia said with a sad tone. "Text us, call us, we'll try to get together but you're so far away…" Olivia slowly trailed off.

"No, no, I get it. It's too far, I know." I said as I walked over to my car. I opened the door to the driver side and plopped down in the seat. I gave them both a sad look and slammed the door. They waved to me with tears brimming in their eyes as I pulled out of their driveway and left, without a glance behind me.
