"Why does homework take so long" I mumble as I put my books away and log my laptop off.
I look at my clock and it says 4:33. I walk out of my bedroom taking my plate out that I had my peanut butter sandwich on for lunch. I place the plate in the dishwasher and walk into the lounge room and fall onto the lounge.
"Ah you all done?" My mum asks turning her body to me placing her magazine on the coffee table.
I nod not lifting my head from the lounge.
DING DONG. The doorbell rings. My dad gets up with a spring to answer it.
"Hi can you please sign here sir". The man says to my dad.
My dad signs the paper and gets handed a box.
"There's still more". The man adds.
"Who is it?" I yell. Slowly lifting myself off the lounge.
"It's the deliveryman with the things we ordered for your room, I put it down so we would get it today otherwise it would've come in a couple of weeks". My dad yells while stepping into the garage to open the door so the man can leave the boxes in there.
"Great!" I chirp loudly walking to the door watching the boxes flood in.
The delivery man wheels all of the furniture in on his red trolley into the garage. Once he finishes wheeling the boxes in dad thanks him and hands him a tip.
The man nods with satisfaction and walks out the door hopping into his truck.
"Vanessa honey" my mum starts as she gets off the lounge. "Grab your things from your room and pop them in the spare one so we can get started on your room tomorrow".
"Alright I will get started now".
I walk into my room and take everything out and put it in the spare room that I will be sleeping in when my room is getting re done. My parents help me with the heavier objects.

By the time we get everything out of my room into the spare room. It's almost 6:30.
"I think we are just going to get take away today". My mum states as we all plop ourselves on the lounge.
"Yeah I agree" I state before my stomachs starts grumbling.
"What would you like?" My dad asks as he grabs his keys from the table.
"There's a burger shop down in the marketplace that is really nice".
"Done, we will go down there now".
"Fine by me". I add as I slip on my thongs.
"But I'm too tired". My mum groans.
"Come on up you get". My dad mumbles as he pulls her up by the arms.
We hop in the car locking the front door behind us and drive down the road to the market place.

My dad's eyes are wide open and he is almost practically drooling at the site of all the different types of burgers.
After waiting what felt like ages for dad to decide what he was going to have we finally order.
"Hello what would you like today"? The young girl chirps whose serving us.
"Hi could we please order one Cheesy Bacon Burger and two Grilled Chicken Burgers with three medium chips please".
The girl nods while entering the order into the computer.
"Will that be all for today?" She asks not looking up from the screen.
"Yes thanks"
"That will be $22.50"
Mum rummages through her wallet for the money and hands the blonde haired girl the money.
"Could I please have your name?"
"Gloria"
"Your order should be ready shortly Gloria" The girl replies smiling.
"Thankyou" my mum says trailing off to look at the girls name tag" Amy".
Amy smiles.
We walk out of the way of the customers and stand near the door waiting.
"Oh now I think about it I'm going to quickly check the roster at work to see if I'm on next week". I add in. Before I start walking away my dad says.
"Actually".
"Actually what" I blurt.
"Well seeing as we are home now we thought that you wouldn't need the job anymore so we sent your boss an email as you saying that you didn't need it anymore".
"You what!!!!" "What gives you right to do that?" I yell.
I immediately get stares from people.
I lower my voice and say "You think that you can waltz back into my life and change whatever you want without even asking me first".
"Honey we are sorry we didn't realise that it meant so much to you, we thought we were helping you". My mum states with a look of sorrow in her eyes.
I look at her and immediately feel bad for going off at them. They were just trying to help.
"I know just next time can you just ask me".
"Ok we are sorry sweetie". My dad says apologetic.
"Gloria" Amy announces.
Mum walks over there and thanks Amy while she grabs the bag of food.
We walk outside in the car park and hop in the car to drive home.

We arrive home and start eating dinner.
"The burgers are really nice" My mum tries to get out with a mouth full of food.
We gobble up the food and put the wrappers in the bin.
I walk into the bathroom to have a shower and put on my Pyjamas. After my shower I go organise my stuff in the spare room so it's not messy and piled up. After all the organising and homework today I say goodnight to my parents and fall fast asleep in my bed.
