Chapter Twenty, Anywhere But Here,
When I wake up, my brain is still in control of my thoughts. My gaze is still blurry but I know I am in the woods somewhere. Then I see an apple tree. My mind says to climb it and get some food because you are hungry. I obey and start to climb the tree. I pull myself up, branch by branch until I get to one that has apples. I am pretty high up in the sky now, but my body doesn't recognize this as a fear and grabs an apple. I grab it and bite into it. It tastes delicious and succulent to my brain so it tells me to eat more of it. I do, but soon enough I finish the apple. The only other apple on this branch is at the end of it. My brain can not sense the fear as I cautiously slide forward on the branch. Snap! Crack! Then I am falling through a rabbit hole, falling falling. Colors flash by my eyes, red, blue, green, brown. Then my body makes an impact with the ground. Thud! I hear a Snap! In my ribcage. I feel a dizziness in my brain. I hear my legs Crack! My body aches and I moan out of frustration.
My mind keeps replaying this message over and over in my brain, "Anywhere but here, You wish you could be anywhere but here"
