(Garroth POV)
"GARROTH!" Screamed my abusive father. "Coming" I said as I practically sprint downstairs to his aid. "Have you done you're chores!" My father menacingly says.
(This is a typical day for me. Yelled at for hours upon hours. *sigh* Why me.)
"Yes sir." I say trying to hide my disappointment/aggravation. It didn't work. "You dare take that tone of voice with me!" He yells. I brace myself *SLAP* My face burns.... "Go to you're room!" He says. "Yes sir." I practically whisper. Tomorrow I have school. I finally have an escape from here. Yes!
~The next day~
I hurry out the door without my little brother noticing. I bet you're thinking, why he's you're own brother? Well, he's pretty much a smaller version of my father but without the abuse. Zane is a butthead basically so... yeah. They treat me like a slave so I have to clean, cook, and make the beds. I get slapped basically every day, but I'm just glad it doesn't get worse. Anyway school isn't great but at least I don't get hurt. As I walk in I notice my best friend Laurence getting beat up. So of course I step in. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I yell at the bullies. "Oh, the little squirt want's to stick up for his friend huh?" There leader sneers. Gene and his gang were the worst bully's in our school. "Were coming for both of you. Watch your back." Gene says as the walk away. "Thanks G. You really saved me." Laurence says as I help him up. "No prob Laurence." I say as we walk to English. Then I realize, my life's gonna get even worse.
~After school~
As I walk home I hear my dad yelling from a block away. Uh oh.
I brace myself for him.
