"You first." he offered.
"No you." she said.
They were now looking at each other in th emiddle of the huge closet. The cat and dog were facing each other too.
They stared at each other for whats seemed like years.
The seconds ticked by.

He cleared his throat."Have you seen the other sock ?" he held up the red sock.
She gasped. "Y-yes"
She held her sock up.
He handed her the sock.
"Can I-" they both started again. Both of them were blushing.
He chuckled while she giggled.
i have to say it now or never. They both thought
"I love you!" they both blurted out at the same time.
Silence.
She folded the socks and set them on the floor.
She then hugged the old janitor, who hugged her back.
The cat and dog nuzzled each others noses.
and the socks laid folded on the floor.
