1000 hours
"Freshers' Week?" V glanced at the paper that Jimin had handed to him. The black haired boy nodded excitedly.
"Come on, it'll be fun!" He said in a hoping tone. V pursed his lips, reading every single line from the brochure.
"A new experience...a team leader...3 days event..." He murmured to himself. Turning to Jimin, he smiled and stated his agreement in joining the event. Jimin fistbumped the air and turned to Jungkook.
"Yah, Jungkook-"
"I'm not joining, sorry," he cut the whining boy mid-sentence.
"But why?"
"Alchemy's extra class," he smiled sheepishly. The two nodded quickly as the Alchemy Lesson's teacher, Mrs. Jung's face came across their mind. She's the school lioness, as to expect of the Student Council's Advisor.
"So it's just the two of us then. Those 3rd Years hyungs are preparing for exams," Jimin sighed. V patted his back and said assuringly.
"Don't whine much. It's a bomb even when it's only the two of us," he grinned. Without them knowing, the Park twins, who were listening to their conversations, had also planned something for the event. Something not too pleasant for sure.
1st day of Fresher's Week
0800 hours
"Alright, line up everyone! We're going to start off the day with our morning exercise!" Hyunsoo hollered. The 1st Year students obeyed and formed lines in front of the Vice President.
"He's not going to have any problems handling this," Chaeyoung grinned as V and Jimin furrowed their eyebrows.
"Can't you see the heart-shaped eyes of the girls?"
"Ah, you're saying his good looks make things easier to handle?" Jimin laughed. Just then, a group of girls waved at the angel duo, giggling happily when they smiled back. Chaeyoung scoffed.
"Say the two standing next to me here," she rolled her eyes. The angels shrugged and proceeded to check the attendance. At the last line of students, V frowned.
"Where's Team Cypher?" He asked to the leader of Team Yttrium. He shook his head and apologised. V puffed his cheeks. Team Cypher was his team, and as the team leader, he must be responsible for all of his members' doing.
"I'm sure I've told them to gather here after dinner last night," he muttered to himself. Asking Jimin to take over his task, he opened his white wings and glided over the air to the students' campsite. He landed gently in front of his team's tent and was shocked to see they were still deep in sleep.
"Yah, Taewoo, wake up! Everyone, get up!" He shook their shoulders. They squinted and yawned, some muttering a good morning.
"Goodness gracious, don't good morning me! You're supposed to wake up before 8, and now it's 15 minutes past 8!" V ruffled his light brown hair. The 1st Years blinked their eyes and apologised immediately before rushing to the gathering field.
Hyunsoo raised an eyebrow, but decided to let the matter off until later. They were already late, and being mad at a group would only make matters worse. As the students started their morning exercise, Jimin sat beside his perplexed friend.
"They just overslept. It happened to us too, don't worry much," he assured.
"That's not the case here,"
"What?"
"They forgot everything about last night. I asked them about dinner, and that was the last thing they had in mind. All the others after that, including my message, was absent," V said in a serious tone. Jimin's eyes narrowed.
"I might be wrong, but I'm thinking of-"
"Sleeping pills?" Chaeyoung finished V's sentences. He nodded hesitantly, not wanting to throw the fault to anyone else before the students themselves.
"I talked with Hyunsoo, and he seemed sure about the theory. I mean, they're so weary and sleepy. Not to mention confused," she threw her gaze at the exercising boys. Jimin hummed.
"But who? And why must it be V's team members?" He rubbed his chin.
1st day of Freshers' Week
2115 hours
"We're really sorry, sunbaenim!" The boys bowed deeply. V chuckled.
"Look, there's nothing to apologise. And one more thing, call me hyung, got it?" He smiled warmly to his members. They sighed in relief and nodded happily.
"Aye aye, captain!" They cheered and ran off for dinner. Hyunsoo came to his side and patted his shoulder.
"Don't think too much about it yourself. We'll get to the bottom of the case in no time," he smiled.
"Thanks hyung," V grinned and followed his steps to the grill. Looking around, he wondered where Jimin was.
"Where's Jimin?" He asked to the fairies. They raised an eyebrow. Out of the blue, the angel emerged from the woods. His face showed panic.
"A student is missing. Her friends said she was talking with two girls wearing black capes when she never came back," he reported. Their eyes went wide with astonishment. While Chaeyoung stayed back to look over the students, the three males zoomed over the trees in search of the missing student.
"Sunbaenim! Sunbaenim, down here!" A girl's voice squeaked in fear not far from Jimin's place. He spotted her in a second with his sharp eyes and flew down to her. She was sobbing badly as the other two boys joined him.
"Now this is getting weirder," Hyunsoo massaged his temples.
2nd day of Freshers' Week
2130 hours
The angels were not in the mood. Even when Hyunsoo cracked up his terrible dad jokes, they didn't even smile.
"Stop learning ridiculous things from Jin," Chaeyoung smacked his arms. She shook her head.
"They're just playing around guys," she said softly to the angels. Jimin murmured.
"Playing around with our pride. Those damned demons, I swear I'll-"
"V hyung! There's a witch in the woods!" Taewoo came running to his team leader. There were tears in his eyes.
"A what?" Hyunsoo asked.
"Wait, I'm not falling for their tricks again. What does it look like? The witch," V asked to Taewoo.
"It's a she. She wore a black cape, and her face was hidden with her hood. And she has a bow and arrow-"
"That filthy Park Hayi... I'm sure her twin's in this too," V groaned.
"Let's get this done," Jimin pulled his friend's hand and headed into the woods. Meanwhile, the Park twins were cackling on a tree branch.
"Did you see his face? Dang, I was losing it!" Hayi laughed heartily.
"I know right! Oh, oh, and-"
"Wow, look who's here! Having too much fun, demons?" V and Jimin hovered above them. Their smiles were very tight.
"Uh, hi?" The twins giggled nervously.
Demon Dormitory (Girls)
2200 hours
The twins pouted. They wanted to run away, but being cuffed limited their movements.
"I don't know we had cuffs," V looked at Jimin weirdly. Jimin replied with a what and an innocent face.
"Look, we can walk with our feet-"
"And go back to the campsite to have fun? Not a chance. Ah, we're here," the angels stopped in front of the demons' dorm. A voice answered from the inside when Jimin rang the doorbell.
"Is that you g-" Saejin opened the door, stared at the boys and shut it back.
"Guys! There are perverts in front of our dorm!" She shouted to the others. The angels almost choked on their saliva. Laughing, the twins pushed the door open and explained the situation. The angels were about to go back when the twins held them back.
"Where do you think you're going?" They snickered and dragged the boys inside.
"Wait what...hey, ouch!" They groaned in pain when the twins dropped them on the floor. They regretted it when they opened their eyes and saw the demons. Seven girls, all wearing either hot pants and tanks or shorts and babydolls, circled around them with little smirks plastered on their lips.
"Am I in heaven?" Jimin gulped.
"Knock it off, Jimin. We're at the demons'," V whispered. Haeyeon tapped her chin.
"So, what should we do with you?" She said softly. Hyerin gazed at the cuffs and pursed her lips.
"Let's play with them," she smiled devilishly and the demons giggled.
"Uh... Guys?" The angels gulped again.
3rd day of Freshers' Week
0900 hours
"Earth to Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin!" Hyunsoo raised his voice. The angels snapped out of their thoughts.
"Uh, yeah?"
"Seriously, what happened to you guys? After last night, you looked distracted. Don't tell me..." Hyunsoo wiggled his eyebrows. The angels shook their head vigorously.
"Wai...wait! It...it's not like what you think!" V snapped.
"Y...yeah! We...we're thinking of their...lily tattoo!" Jimin emphasized.
"Lily tattoo?"
"Yeah, now that he mentioned it. All of them have a black lily tattoo under their collarbones," V pursed his lips.
"Collarbones? No wonder you're so distracted today," Hyunsoo roared in laughter at the flushed angels.
"Hyung! I told you, they were just abusing us mentally!" Jimin whined.
"And a little bit physically with magic," V poked his bruise and flinched. Hyunsoo and Chaeyoung laughed at the boys.
