I still feel your gaze,
From so far away.
And despite the time that's gone by,
It still sends a chill down my spine,
No different than it did tonight.
But this time,
With steady eyes, I returned it.
Held strong, but still terrified.
The closest thing we'll ever get to goodbye.
A/N: Undecided on my thoughts about this poem. Part of me really likes it, and the other part of me just goes 'bleh, nope'. The part of me that likes the poem won, so now I am publishing it.
