"We have to make sure our baby is safe. We have to talk to him." Snow White said as she looked at her husband with worry.

"No. I don't want my baby anywhere near that imp." David, her Prince Charming, said as he looked at his very pregnant wife.

After some convincing they headed to where they had locked up the so called imp. "Whatever you do don't tell him your names. If he knows your name he has power over you." The guard warned as they walked in with cloaks over their head.

"Rumplestiltskin! I have a question for you." The guard demanded as he put the a torch on a stand.

"No you don't. They do." Rumplestiltskin replied holding the bars. "Snow White and Prince Charming." He said, saying Prince Charming in a high pitched singy songy way. "You insult me. Step into the light and take off those ridiculous robes." He requested as they did so.

"We've come to ask you about the-" Charming began before Rumple interrupted.

"Yes! Yes! I know why you're here." He cut off agitated, still looking at them. After some discussing and mocking they got to the deal.

"What do you want?" Snow asked desperately.

"Oh. The name of your unborn child." Rumple shrugged looking to them.

"Absolutely not." Charming declined.

"Deal. Tell us what you know." Snow answered looking to Rumplestiltskin.

"You will be stuck in a prison, all of us will, just like this one only worse. This prison will be time. Time will stop and we will be trapped and everything we love will be ripped from us, while the queen celebrates. Victorious at last!" He sang sounding angrier by the second matching the scared emotions of the two heroes. "No more happy endings." He grumbled quietly.

"What do we do?" Snow asked.

"We can't do anything." He answered high pitched. "But the first born of the two things in your belly can." He pointed to her stomach. Charming quickly grabbed his sword and nicked Rumplestiltskins finger making him tsk.

"Next time I cut it off." He warned drawing back his sword.

"What do you mean two?" Snow asked.

"Not one but two, whoop dee do!" Rumple sang rather insanely before giggling quietly. Snow looked at her stomach surprised. "The infant is our only hope. Get the child to safety and on its-," Rumple thought, "- 28th birthday the child will return and find you. Hahahaha!" He laughed.

"What about the other one?" She asked looking at him. She didn't want her second child to suffer. Charming looked at her in agreement.

"That is another price." Rumple said singy songy.

"What else could you possibly want?" Charming asked looking at them.

"Perhaps the name of the second child." Rumple said looking at the two.

"Fine." Snow agreed. "What do we need to do?"

"Cast a spell." Rumple said looking at her with a smile.

"What kind of spell?" Charming asked looking at the trickster.

"A binding spell." He chuckled. "The first time the first born embraces its saviourness, the second born will began to break time." He said making a cracking noise with his mouth. "While the time is still the child will grow. Then and only then the final battle will begin." Rumple said with a laugh. How can we get Emma to safety and how do we bind them?, Snow thought before Charming grabbed her hand.

"We are leaving." Charming announced walking away.

"We had a deal! I want their names! Give me her name! We had a deal!" Rumple geeked rattling on the cage.

"Her? We are having boys." Charming said as they both turned around.

"Miss. miss." Rumple said with a nervous tone. "You know I'm right. The first child is a girl."

"Her name is Emma." Snow said looking to him.

"Emma." He giggled. "And the other one? The other girl?" He asked looking at them.

Snow looked to Charming. "What's her name?" She asked looking up to him.

"Maya. Her name is Maya." He said as they turned around and walked out.

"How pretty. Emma and Maya." He said in a creepy voice.

---

The dwarves, Geppetto, red riding hood, granny, and the cricket all gathered in a room with Snow and Charming trying to think of a way to decide all of this.

"This is going to happen unless we do something." Charming announced looking around at everyone.

"There is no point. The future is written." Snow informed.

"But the blue fairy has already made the binding magic." Charming explained.

"It's no use if we don't send Emma to safety. She won't be able to do anything if time is frozen." Snow sadly replied.

"I refuse to believe it. Good can't just lose." Charming shook his head.

"Maybe it can." Snow said. She was losing hope.

"No. no. As long as we have each other we will be okay. If you believe him about the curse you have to believe it about our firstborn child. She will be the savior." Charming said to her with all the hope he had. The doors began to open. "What the hell is this?" Charming asked looking at a tree coming through the door.

"An enchanted tree." The blue fairy answered with a smile.

"A tree? Our fate rests in a tree?" Grumpy the dwarf asked looking at them.

"If fashioned into a vessel, it can ward off any curse." She explained. "Geppetto, can you build such a thing?"

"Me and my boy- we can do it." He agreed as he patted his sons head.

"This will work. We all must have faith." The blue fairy said as Snow grabbed Charmings hand her hope flowing back in. "There is in fact, a catch. The tree is indeed powerful, but it can only protect one." She explained saddening them.

"What about the binding magic for the babies?" Snow asked looking up.

"Here." The blue fairy said as she poofed it onto the table.

"When they are born, sprinkle it over top of them. They will be binded through it. When they grow the dust will help them with the one thing that we need most. Saving us." The blue fairy said as Snow held the small bag of magic in her hand. Even though she would go through the wardrobe, she wanted a plan just in case it didn't work out the way they wanted.
---

"I don't want to do this." Snow said scared of being sent away from her husband.

"It has to be you." Charming said looking at Snow. She might have been pregnant but for the time being, she was only one person even if two bodies were growing inside her.

"I don't want to leave you!" Snow cried rushing towards him as they embraced each other.

"It's the only way. You'll go in there and you'll be safe from the curse." Charming explained bravely.

"He said it would be on their 28th birthday." Snow looked into his eyes crying.

"What's 28 years when you have eternal love." Charming encouraged with a smile. "I've got faith. You'll save me as I saved you." Charming nodded as Snow cried. She began to kiss him then felt a pain in her abdomen and quickly pulled away.

"The babies." She said grabbing her stomach. "They are coming." She looked at her stomach as worry consumed her face. Charming took her to Doc and they looked at her. Geometric came in and told them the wardrobe was done.

"We have to get her to the wardrobe." Charming told the dwarf.

"There is no time. They are coming out now." Doc said as they nervously got ready. Before they knew it Snow was giving birth.

Out came Emma first crying. They cleaned her up and Charming held her as Snow pushed out Maya gripping Charmings hand. "You can do it Snow." He said looking at her.

She pushed out a crying Maya and they cleaned her up. They held the babies while they looked at them happily. Snows happy face drifted quickly.

"The wardrobe. It only takes one." She said looking at her two daughters.

"Then our plan has failed." Charming admitted looking up. "At least we are together."

Snow thought to herself. She was about to make the toughest descision of her life. "No this isn't it. Where is the binding dust?" She asked as Charming pulled it out of his pocket. She took it and sprinkled it over the two babies both in blankets with their names embroidered on it. They glowed a light yellow then went to normal.

She cried. "Let me see Emma." She said as she kissed her baby on the forehead. "Take her to the wardrobe."

"No I can't-" Charming started looking at Snow.

"He said that Emma was the savior. If we send her through, she will find us." Snow said.

"Your out of your mind." Charming disagreed looking at her.

"No no no. We have to believe she will save us. We have to give her, her best chance and we have to do our best to protect Maya." Snow explained looking at Maya. She didn't want one of her babies to suffer, but she had no choice. If one of them could be saved, then they would come back and save the other.

Charming looked at Snow sadly. He kissed Maya on the head and then Emma and left the room. Snow held Maya as she wept. She knew she did the right thing and she hated having to choose one of her babies to send off.

As Charming took Emma, Snow struggled to get up. She wanted to make sure everything was okay. She held Maya as she cried walking past black knights lying on the floor. She looked and saw Charming laying on the floor covered in bloody cuts.

"No no no." She whined as she shuffled to him in pain. She sat down putting Maya laid quietly next to her as Snow kissed Charming trying to wake him up. She heard footsteps and quickly covered up Maya with the end of her dress.

"Oh don't worry. In a few moments you won't remember you knew him." The evil queen smirked walking in. "Let alone loved him."

"Why did you do this?" Snow questioned holding Charming making sure Maya was out of her sight. The Evil Queen knew about Emma, but had no idea that Maya was there. Snow thanked God she stayed quiet.

"Because this is my happy ending." The evil queen said angrily. Some guards began to walk in. "The child?" She asked looking at the guards. Snow put her hand on Mayas head, Snows heart racing.

"Gone. She was in the wardrobe and then gone." The knights explained looking at the Queen. "Nowhere to be found."

"Where is she?" The queen asked looking at Snow angrily.

"She got away." Snow said with a smile rubbing the hidden babies head. "You're going to lose." Snow said putting her bad around charming and looking to the Queen. "I know that now. Good will always win." She sighed as she looked at Charming.

"Well see about that." The queen replied as she began laughing manically. The magic purple clouds came rolling in like a tornado destroying everything. Snow leaned over Charming and Maya as Maya began to cry and Snow shushed her quickly, soon enough for The Queen to not here.

She smiled hopefully at her baby then looked to the Queen worried. "Where are we going?" She asked.

"Somewhere horrible. Absolutely horrible." The Queen laughed. "A place where the only happy ending will be mine." And with that they were sent away to this terrible place.

When they arrived they were all separated from each other and did not know who they truly were. There memories were replaced with fake ones and they all were in a town called Storybrooke. For thirteen years no one aged. That was until the bonding spell began to work between the twins.

In another place far away from the quaint town Storybrooke that all of them were trapped in, A fourteen year old Emma was playing a claw machine. As her foster mother told her to focus on winning and focus on the game, a spark of electricity was exerted from the claw making the game flicker.

Although she didn't know it, this was the first time Emma had begun her acts of a savior that just so happened to be magic.

And now, in the town of Storybrooke, a little girl currently living in the home of the nuns began to glow for a second. With that she began to grow up.

As she grew she began to realize a continuing pattern with everyone except herself. She cut herself off from most people jut because they wouldn't age with her, but they never realized it. She assumed that it was normal.

As she turned ten she entered the classroom of a teacher named Ms. Blanchard. She wasn't sure why but she felt connected to that teacher. She began to talk to her and she had become Mayas only friend. It was almost like she was a big sister or caretaker of her, all except for the fact she was still living in the convent.

She stayed close with Ms. Blanchard and soon became the age of fourteen. Ms. Blanchard would tell her of another child in her class named Henry. She would say how much him and Maya were similar. One day Maya went over to Ms. Blanchards house, like she usually did to pass time, and she came across a book.

"Maya." The woman who used to go by Snow called for Maya. Snow was now known as Mary-Margaret.

"Coming." Maya replied putting down her glass of hot cocoa and cinnamon as she followed her voice into her room.

"Look what I found." She smiled showing her the book reading the title which said Once Upon A Time.

"A storybook?" Maya asked confused as to why it was important.

"You know maybe you could give this to Henry." She suggested as she handed it to Maya who took it.

"But can't you give it to him." Maya suggested looking to Mary Margaret. She avoided social interaction, even though Henry was the only other one to ever age.

"Maya I mean nothing against you, but you need friends. Hanging out at a teachers house isn't necessarily the most fun thing to do. Besides you could use it too." Mary Margaret smiled at the teen.

"What could I do with a whole bunch of fairytales?" She asked looking at the cover of the book tracing the letters.

"I don't know. It just seems like you aren't really the happiest person." Mary Margaret explained trying not to seem offensive.

"It's just, life isn't filled with princesses and magic..." Maya shrugged. She had a rough life. She grew up in the convent with a whole bunch of people who did the exact same thing every single day. It was boring.

"Even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing Maya." Mary Margaret said putting her hand in Mayas. "Give it to Henry okay. He is a really nice kid and so are you. Just give it a try." Mary Margaret suggested as she walked to the kitchen.

"Okay I'll give it to him tomorrow." Maya agreed reluctantly. She finished her cocoa and left for the nuns house. They were all very nice to everyone and taught her good manors so she would grow up to be a good person. It worked out well for Maya so far.

She walked into the room she shared with another girl. She was learning to become a nun. She never talked so Maya didn't even bother starting a conversation. She went in her trunk and grabbed her blanket she had since she was a baby. She held it smelling a feeling of home. She put the book in the trunk and closed it. She was off to bed and the next morning she would give Henry the book.

---

The next day started and lunch time came around. She had the book in her bag and saw Henry sitting by himself.

She sighed. "Here I go." She whispered to herself as she walked over to him with her bagged lunch. She thought it was weird to talk to a boy who was four years younger then her, but she was curious as to why he grew as well.

She smiled as she looked at him. "Is anyone sitting here?" She asked looking at Henry. He shook his head eating his sandwich. "My name is Maya by the way." She added as she opened her lunch.

"I'm Henry. Aren't you from the ninth grade?" He asked.

"Yeah. Aren't you from the fourth grade?" She asked him taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Yeah. So why are you talking to me? Isn't that weird or something?" Henry asked looking at the girl.

She shrugged. "I don't know. You seemed lonely, and I don't have friends so I thought, 'Hey why not sit with that kid.'" She explained looking at him rambling.

"And?" Henry said waiting for her to stop rambling.

"And Ms. Blanchard said we should be friends." She finished as she took another bite of her food.

Henry nodded. "I see you in the classroom sometimes. Is she your mom or something?" He asked looking to her.

"No. She's just my friend." Maya shook her head. "I actually live at the convent." Maya added. She wasn't ashamed of it but she wasn't proud either.

"Are you trying to become a nun?" He asked confused.

"No I just don't have any family and they decided to take me in since Storybrooke doesn't have an orphanage." Maya explained.

"Oh." Henry nodded looking at the table. "I was adopted." Henry admitted as he looked up to her.

Maya smiled. That's how they were similar, she thought as she looked at Henry. "That's cool. By who?" She asked curiously.

"Regina Mills." Henry said looking to her.

"Your the mayors son?" She asked looking at him with fake surprise. Mayor Mills was such a scary person. Maya always wondered how Henry could possibly be related to her, turns out he really wasn't.

"Yeah." He sighed.

Maya nodded as she opened her book bag. "Anyway, Ms. Blanchard said that I should give you this and we should read it so we can be happy or whatever." She explained pulling out the book.

"How is a fairytale book of make believe going to help with being happy?" Henry asked looking at it.

"I don't know but she said that even the possibility of a happy ending is a very powerful thing." Maya explained. "So maybe you read some of it and then in a few days I can look and read some?"

"Okay." Henry smiled. "Thanks for sitting with me."

"Thanks for letting me." She smiled back and they ate their food.

Little did they know that this book of fairytales was going to be the start of something incredible.

Hey! Go check out -OUATCommunity- Please let me know what you think so I should know wether to go on with this story or not. I like it so far I think. The girl in the picture is the closest I could find to my vision of what Maya looks like. She has dirty blonde hair like her dad as well as his lips, eye shape and color, and facial structure. She has her moms chin and a mix of both of their noes'.
Please let me know what you think,
Lauryn
