"Look not for love" is what you say,
"And love will come to you one day."
To my mind this makes no sense,
I've been taught things most valued have costly expense.
Why? Why? Why must this be?
I feel as if this love i'll never see.
My thoughts, my thoughts how they quake.
My heart, my heart continues to ache.
What seems to be so simple to them,
Past seems to show my chances are grim.
Please oh please answer me so,
My heart daily desires to know.
Who? What? Where? When?
The future will give an answer therein.
