I woke up this morning to Christmas music, construction workers making loud noise outside, Selena on the phone with Miley, my mom singing her ass off and Ariana talking to her parents." why can't I get any peace in the morning for once?"
I groaned in anger, pulled my comforters off of me, leaned against my bed frame with my arms crossed and looked at both of them.
"Is everything okay?" Ariana asked me, putting her hands over the phone.
" No" I said upset, "I know you guys are talking to people you love but can you do it somewhere else? it's 8 in the morning, please shut up!"
They looked at me shocked.Maybe, that was a little bit harsh but I need my sleep.They hanged up their phones and looked at me with evil stares.
"What is wrong with you?" Selena asked, " Ever since you've seen and talked to Niall, you've been acting like a complete bitch."
I looked at her and saw hurt.Shes been by my side ever since I saw her at the café and I am thankful for her being here for me and I am not doing it on purpose for acting this way but I'm just scared.
" Are you pregnant?" Ariana asked with widened eyes.
" Shut up" Selena whispered to her
" No I'm not pregnant" I said with a chuckle, " I haven't done it in two years.I think I'm good"
Ariana gasped, " Really?" she said shocked, " You don't know what you're missing"
"ARIANA" Selena shouted.I couldn't help but laugh.
"Sorry" she said, " Is this about Niall?"
I looked at her and sighed.She may be annoying and evil when she wants too but she can be very smart as well.
"Even if that may be true, that still has nothing to do with now" I said looking at both of them
"How did you two even talked anyway?" Selena asked with a teasing voice
"He texted me, saying to meet him at the park and that's about it." I looked at them, and looked away.
"Then why are you being bitchy? shouldn't you be happy?" Selena asked, scooting next to me.
"You're right but what will my parents say if they find out we've been hanging out or texting?" I asked, with a scared tone?
Ariana looked at me like if I was stupid.I haven't seen her this concerned about anyone, including me in a long time.
"Who the hell cares, Dems?" she said, walking over to me, " this is your happiness, your life not theirs."
I looked at her then at Selena nodding her head, " I never thought I'd say this but I agree.If you want to invite him over for dinner tonight, go ahead.This is a new year for all of us but more importantly, it's a new year for both of you"
I smiled at her, gave her a hug and took Ariana's hand, "Thank you" she rubbed my nuckles and whispered " you're welcome"
I got out my phone and texted Niall.I really want him to come over for dinner tonight since Selena is inviting her mom and Ariana's parents might make it in time for supper.
Text Message
To Niall: Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to come over for diner? I don't want you to be alone for New Years.
I anxiously waited for his text.Ariana and Selena went downstairs for breakfast and left me in room.Alone.
Niall: Sure.I'll be there around six.Cant wait to see you (;
I smiled at his text and jumped out of bed.I ran downstairs and into the kitchen.Now I have to break the news to my parents.

Downstairs
I sat at the kitchen table eating my cereal.I looked at my mom who was reading the news paper.Its now or never.
"Hey mom" I said with an angelic voice, " I need to ask you something?"
She looks up at me, closes the news paper and kept all her attention on me." What is it sweetie?"
"Uhm well" I took a deep breath and just went right for it, " Is it okay if Niall comes over for dinner tonight?"
She looks at me and smiles.I Looked at Selena and Ariana and shrugged.
"That would be fantastic" She said, " Your father went to buy some champagne but I'm sure he'll be okay with it"
" Great" I smiled.I took one last spoon full of my cereal.
"How's the group therapy going?" She asked.
"I'm not supposed to talk about it" I said a little cold, " ever since I've been going, she's proud of me for opening up and actually participating in the discussions"
" Well, you know, if anything is bothering you, you could talk to me and your father" She smiled
I heard the front door and couldn't be any more excited to get out of this conversation.
"Hi papa" I said with a smile.
"Hello girls" he said, placing the bags on the table, "I got everything we need"
"That's great honey" Mom said."Your daughter wants to know if Niall can come to diner" She walked over towards the bags and looked inside of them.
"That would be" he stopped and looked at me and smile."great"
I smiled and felt some sort of excitement.Niall and I being friends is probably one of the best thing ever.
"Is it only us?" Ariana asked."Not meaning to sound rude."
"I think so" my dad smiling."you guys could invite your friends if you want"
I looked at them and their face expression said "hell no".No teenager wants to be with their parents and friends on any occasion.That is beyond embarrassing.
"We're good" I said helping my mom unpack the bags.
"Is Miley coming?" My mom asked, putting the milk in the fridge.
"I didn't ask" Selena said with a sad voice, "she probably has plans anyways."
"You should invite her" My dad said looking at Selena, " It would be nice to have all of you guys here"
She ran out of the kitchen and went upstairs.Miley has been going through hell with Vanessa lately.With what Selena told me, it's not good.I can't imagine what Miley is going through and I guess Selena feels bad but she just doesn't know what to do.
"Was it something I said?" My dad asked.I guess he feels bad but what he doesn't know won't hurt him.
"No no it's not you" I said walking over to Ariana,"Let's go" I whispered.
"Where?" she looked at me confused and a little frightened.
"Were going to get Miley" I said to her with a determined face expression."We'll be back soon"
"Be back before six" She said.
Ariana and I walked out of the kitchen and went out the front door.I hate seeing Selena like this and I know she still loves and misses Miley and knowing that she's hurting, is her hurting her too.
I drove as fast as I can.Whatever Vanessa wants to do to Miley, she's gonna have to go through me first.Ive met Vanessa a few times in the past and I know how she can't get.
" Slow down Ariana said" I could tell she was scared but I don't care.
"No time to slow down." I said gripping the steering wheel tight." Be ready for what's coming"
She looked at me scared.Let the show begin.

Miley's POV
I've been trapped in my own house for the past couple of days ever since I came from the studio with Demi, Ariana, Niall and Selena.Vanessa wasn't to thrilled when Selena came to pick me up but I couldn't think of anything else.She hid my car keys so I couldn't go anywhere.If I wanted to go somewhere, she had to drive me.
"Do you want any more juice?" She asked me with a smile.How can someone so nice turn out to be a crazy bitch?
"I'm good thanks" I said, "Look Vanessa, why are you doing all of this?"
"Because you're mine" She said, I could tell she was getting aggravated, " No one can come between us"
"WE DIDNT EVEN MAKE IT OFFICIAL!" I shouted
"It doesn't matter miles" She took my hand into hers and I pulled them away.
"Don't call me that" I said upset, "I didn't know being friends, Cuz that's all we are, friends, would be this complicated and difficult"
I got up from my chair and walked over to the sink.I placed my cup in the sink, turned around to face her.Her face was hot red and I was getting a little scared.She walked over to me, grab my hand tightly and looked at me.
"Maybe the way I've been acting is a little overboard but that doesn't change the way I feel about you" I looked at my hand and it was turning red.
"My hand" I weeped.
I heard the front door open and saw Demi and Ariana.I pushed Vanessa away and ran to demi and hugged her.As I was hugging her, tears rolled down my face.
"How did you two get in?" she asked examining the door.
"That doesn't matter" Ariana said taking her eyes way from Demi and I, "you think what you're doing is right? Miley is not some toy you can play with"
"Who the fuck are you to question me?" she said walking to Ariana, "Miley doesn't need bodyguards, alright, especially not from you two"
"We're not her bodyguards" Ariana said in anger walking towards her.
I pulled away from Demi and looked to see what was going to happen.
"Were her friends something you wouldn't know anything about" She said with her hands on her hips."It's time you stop hurting Miley and move the fuck on because it's clear she doesn't give two shits about you"
She gasp and pushes Ariana who falls on the floor.Demi pushes me away and walked up to Vanessa.
"What?" She said, " what are you gonna do? why don't you go find that cheater of yours and get the hell out of this house.Miley and I can work things out"
I glared at her and kept my calm.Im not trynna get in another fight two years later.
"You know what let's just go" Demi said taking my hand.I pulled my hand away in pain.She looked at my hand then looked at Vanessa.
"You did that to her?" Demi asked upset, "what the hell is wrong with you?"
Ariana stood up and walked over to me.She held me by my waist as we stood in the living room waiting for Demi.
"You know Vanessa, this is second person you've put through hell, the first one was me, remember? you might gotten away with that one but this time you can't." She said walking to her,"my dad is a cop, continue hurting Miley and I'll make sure he hurts you"
Vanessa glared at her and let out a "pfft" and walked out of the kitchen.She grabbed her purse, threw my car keys on the floor.
"This will not be last you've seen of me" She said then walked out.
I hugged Ariana and Demi.I can't believe they did all of this because of me.I appreciate them so much and now I can finally leave my own house and hopefully see Selena.
We got out of my house and drove straight to Demi's.I kept looking at my hand which turned purple.I frowned and looked out the window.
"I have a bandage at my house" Demi said," you'll be okay"
She turned to me, smiled then focused back at the road.
"How's Selena?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"Why don't you ask her yourself?"
I looked at her confused.We pulled up into her driveway.As we got out, Selena was waiting for us on the front step.I got out of the car,she ran to me and hugged me.
" I promise I won't leave you" She whispered into my ears.

Diner went really well.I thought it would be a big disaster but my dad was being really friendly towards Niall.Whatever we went through two years ago was completely forgotten.This is definitely the best diner ever.
''So Niall' my dad said wiping his mouth, ''What are you looking forward to in 2014?''
He looked at me and smiled.I blushed and looked away.Selena realized and giggled.
''Well for starters, I'm hoping your daughter and I can start over'' he said, '' and also to spend a little bit more time with my mom.''
Niall's mom had her baby and it turns out its a girl.I wasnt the only one going through hell for these past couple of years.My mom had to deal with dad going to see his son and it hasnt been easy but she's learned to accept it which was surprising.
''Thats nice'' My mom said getting up from her seat.''Do you guys want more food or you're all full?''
''We're full'' we all said.
We went into the living room to watch the ball drop.This year went by so fast and im just excited to be alive and giving a second chance at bettering my life again.Hopefully i will be able to go back to school soon but i doubt it.
''HAPPY NEW YEAR'' we all shouted.
My mom and dad shared a passionate kiss so did selena and miley.Niall and i felt akward.We smiled to each other and continued watching.
My mom pulled away and turned off the tv.I looked at her confused.
''Your mother has some good news.'' he said.My dad put his arms around her waist and smiled.
''I'm pregnant'' she said smiling.
We all jumped up for joy.We took our glasses of champagne and cheered.
''Omg congratulations mama'' I said walking over her to give her a hug.
''Thanks baby'' she smiled
Niall got up walked over to my mom.'' congratulations'' he said,''thank you for diner but its time for me to go''
''Youre welcome here anytime'' my dad said smiling.
I walked Niall out.I knew my parents, Selena, Miley and Ariana were looking out the window.
''I guess this is good night?'' He said smiling
''I guess so'' I said feeling a little sad.
i walked back to house but i stopped halfway to the steps.I turned around, ran to Niall and kissed him.I put my arms around his neck.I've been having the urge to kiss him for awhile now and thank god i did.I've missed his hugs, his touch, his body.I needed him.I pulled back and smiled at him.
''Now its good night'' I said giving him one last kiss then walked back to the house.
I walked inside,closed the door and leaned against it.I felt their stares on me but I couldnt help but smile.Best New Years ever.
