My mom had sold our old house and bought a new one.It has four bedrooms and four and a half baths.Trevor moved in last week and we have been applying for jobs so my mom doesn't have to pay for everything.
"Trevor time for my doctor's appointment .We have to go."My appointment is in thirty minutes and Trevor is taking forever to get ready.
"Ok I just have to put on my shoes."
"You take longer than me.Hurry up."
"Ok I'm ready calm down."
"Finally."We head out to his car and I get in the passenger seat.We drive to my appointment and are there in ten minutes.My mom also made sure we were close to the doctor's office.
"Uhh."
"What's wrong?"
"I just want to be lazy."Being pregnant takes a lot of energy out of one person.
He chuckles.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing."
"Whatever."I get out of the car and head inside.
"A 10:30 for a Vanessa Green."
"Ok you may wait in the waiting room."I nod my head and say ok then head to the waiting room.
"So are you excited?"Trevor asks me.
"Yeah I really want a girl."
"I know baby so do I."
"My mom said that the court date is on Wednesday this week.So we can hopefully press charges on Sabrina."
"That's great."He gives me a kiss on my cheek.
"Vanessa."A nurse says in the doorway.She leads us to a room and takes my vitals an some other things.
"Ok Vanessa today is very important.You and Trevor are going to find out if your baby is a boy or a girl."She applies the cold gel and moves the little wand thingy over my belly.
"O my.Vanessa.You are going to have beautiful baby girls."
"Trevor we are having a girl!"Wait did she say girls.
"Wait.Girls as in two."
"Vanessa you're having twins."
"Trevor."He just stays blank.
"Two babies."A small smile appears on his face.
"Is everything ok then?"I ask.
"Everything is fine.Everything else should be easy from now on till birth.You have a chance of early birth though.Nothing that's not normal for your age."She wipes the gel off my stomach and goes to get the pictures.
"Two babies."He is still in shock and smiling like an idiot.
"Trevor are you ok?"I laugh a little.
"Two babies."He turns to look at me.
"Yes Trevor two babies I know this because I'm having them."He has no response so I slap him.
"Hey!That hurt."
"Then snap out of it already.Jeezz!"
"Sorry."I laugh and sit up.
"Here are your pictures."
"Thank you."We wave goodbye and walk to Trevor's car.
"So when are we going to tell your mom?"
"Umm why don't we make dinner and tell her .We should tell your parents too.So we need to go to the store."
"Ok I like your idea."He drives to the store in about ten minutes.We get out of the car and head inside.
"So what are we going to make?"I really didn't think about it.
"Umm how about pork chops and we can make asparagus with mashed potatoes?"
"Sounds good."
"Maybe instead of telling them through our voice about the babies, maybe we should do something with dessert."
"We could do a pink cake with a white outside.So when they cut into the cake it's pink."That's a good idea.
"But how are we suppose say there are twins inside of me?"All we need right now is the pork chops and stuff for the cake.We pass the baby isle and make Trevor go back.I come across some cake toppers.They are about the size of my hand.
"Trevor what if we put two of these on top of the cake?"
"Hmm it could work.What do we need for the babies, we might as we get them while we are here."I start to grab newborn bottles and diapers, along with some socks.
"All of this?"Trevor is so clueless.
"Yes silly and a lot more, but we will have to get double of everything."His jaw drops and I can't help but laugh.
"We better go get everything else."He nods his head in agreement.We finish shopping and head home.When we arrive at my house I take all the baby stuff to our room and set it on my bed.
I pull out a pot and start making the mash potatoes.Next I wash the asparagus and wrap it in tin foil along with some butter and set it on a baking sheet in the oven.I grab a pan and set it on the stove in between medium and high.
"Trevor will you hand me the pork chops with the spices that I set out on the counter?"
"Yeah one sec."He gets up from the table and hands me the things I asked for.I cut open the package of pork chops and lay them in the pan.I season them.I take the asparagus out and set them in the microwave so they stay warm."Is dinner almost ready?"Uhh.
"Trevor hunny why don't you do some dishes and set the table.Ok."
"Ok."He sets the table first then cleans up some of the mess.
"While you're at it will you get the cake stuff ready."
"Yeah."I flip the pork chops and stir the potatoes.I check the asparagus to see if they are how they are suppose to be.They are.
I start on the cake.I pour the powder into the bowl then add the eggs,water, and oil.I mix it then add the pink food coloring.(Well it's really red but it makes pink.)
I put it in the oven.Then sit down.
"Trevor will you check and see if the pork chops are done?"
"Yeah."He gets up and takes them out of the pan.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."He walks over and kisses me.I smile and call my mom.
"Hi sweetheart is everything ok?"
"Yeah everything is fine.When are you getting of work?"
"Right now.I will be home shortly ok?"
"Ok mom.Love you bye."
"Love you too bye."I hang up.
"Trevor did you call your parents?"
"Yeah they should be here soon."
"Ok."I get up and go lay down on my bed.My mom gave us the master bedroom and gave us a king sized bed when we moved.I was so happy.
"Vanessa what are you doing?"
"Taking a nap.I'm tired so either get out or join me."
"I have to keep an eye on the cake so I will leave you to nap."I don't say anything I just go straight to sleep.About thirty minutes later I feel someone tapping on me and they won't stop.
"What!"I turn over to see Trevor.
"One.The cake is done and Two.My mom and dad are here."
"Ok."I get up and go down stairs.
"Hi Vanessa."Anna says to me as I walk pass the living room.
"Hi."I walk in the kitchen and see the cake sitting on the counter, on a cake plate.I ice it with the white icing that I bought and walk back into the living room.
"So is it a boy or a girl?"Anna asks me.I didn't know Trevor told them about my appointment.
"Everyone will find out after dinner."
"Oh ok."My mom walks in and she is in her pink scrubs.Perfect timing.
"We can eat now."Everyone walks into the dining room and sits down.Trevor and I go and get the food from he kitchen then place it on the table.
"Vanessa this is delicious."
"Thank you Anna."
"So what's for dessert?"
"Umm cake."
"Did you make it?"
"Yeah."
"I bet it will be delicious."
"Thank you."We finish our dinner and Trevor clears the table while I put blind folds on my mom and Trevor's parents.
"Why do we need these?"my mom asks.
"You'll see."I finish with the blind folds then put the two baby toppers on the cake and bring it into the dining room.
"Ok everyone you can take off your blind folds but wait a second to speak.Trevor come here!"He walks in and sits down.
"Ok you may now speak."
Why are there two babies?"My mom asks.
"This is a guessing game and whoever guesses correct gets to find out the gender first."
"Are you having twins?"Anna gets it her first try.
"Yes I am."They all cheer in excitement.I hand Anna the cake knife and she cuts the cake.
"It's a girl!"
"Sweetheart that's great."My mom hugs me.After talking for about an hour my moms phone rings.She answers it and there are a lot of yes and ok's.
"Vanessa the judge decided to move up the court date because of Sabrina's trouble in school."That is really good to hear.Ever since Sabrina hit Trevor in Mr.Sterns office,she was getting into more trouble and was taken out of my school.Trevor hugs me and so does my mom.
"That's great."I am excited for this court date.Sabrina will finally get what she deserves.There's a knock on the door only a few minutes later.
Trevor gets up to open it and I soon go over to the door myself.I look to see Sabrina and she looks pissed.
"What do you want?"I ask her.
"I want you dead and Trevor to come back to me."
"Well to bad.Lay a hand on me and I will press more charges.And Trevor will never take you back.You're a whore."I step out from behind Trevor and make sure I am completely visible.She doesn't say anything for a second.
"Trevor is it your baby?"She looks scared.
"Yes the babies are mine."
"Wait there are two?!!You little whore."She slaps me.You think she would know better.I punch her.Trevor grabs her arm so she can't run.
"What the hell is going on?"My mom comes to the door.
"Mom can I use your phone?"
"Yeah sure sweetheart."She hands me her phone and I call the police.
"911 What's your emergency?"
"Yes I need the police right away.My boyfriends ex-girlfriend has assaulted me and came to my home when doing so."
"Ok a police officer will be over as soon as possible."
"Alright goodbye."
It takes the police five minutes to arrive at my house.Trevor still has his hold on Sabrina, but she couldn't run now she had no chance of making it.Two police officers walk out of the car and cuff Sabrina so she doesn't try.
"Can you tell us what happened tonight?"The blonde police officer asks. The other one is a brunette, he is holding Sabrina.
"Yes,We were at home my mother had received a call from our lawyer saying that the court date was moved up.Only seconds after that Sabrina came here looking for me.Trevor had opened the door and I was behind him just in case.Sabrina didn't know I was pregnant until now.She slapped me and I punched her after she had slapped me."
"Ok was there any other incidents?"
"Yes, there were two at school but they should already be a report
Last time she came to Trevor's house and refused to leave."
"Ok we will take her away.Hope the rest of your night is good."
"You too officer."They walk away and put Sabrina in the back of the car.We close the door and I say goodnight to everyone, along with a goodbye for Anna and Joseph.I go upstairs and put on my pajamas then go to bed.
"Vanessa are you ok."I hear about thirty minutes later.I just layed there because I couldn't fall asleep.
"Yeah."
"Do you want to talk about it?"I feel like I'm about to cry.Why does he have to talk to me in my fragile state.
"I don't know."I sit up so I can see him.
"Don't cry Vanessa it's ok."I didn't even realize I was crying.He got up on the bed and sat next to me.
"How did she even find out where we live?"I look at him.
*Trevor's P.O.V*
How did she find out where we lived?Could she be stalking me?
"Maybe being the whore she is.She was stalking me."I say hoping. to ease her emotions.She laughs a little.
*Vanessa's P.O.V*
"I wonder if we could use that against her in court.Which speaking of that maybe we have to go tomorrow.So we need our sleep Ok?."I kiss him then go to bed.Before I fall asleep I feel his arm go around me,his hand resting on the twins.
"I love you Vanessa."I hear him whisper.I soon fall asleep.
