Skip ahead to thanksgiving
Rowan: happy thanksgiving my love bug. I'm so dearly grateful for you and all that you do for me. You're all that I could ever ask for and more in someone I want to spend the rest of eternity with. I miss you so much and I hope you're having a good time (I know you are) I love you sabby😍💗
Sabrina: happy thanksgiving my rowboat. Meeting you and making you mine was the best thing that ever happened to me. You make me a better person and I can't thank you enough for always sticking by my side and being my best friend and my forever partner in crime until we grow old and talk about chicken noodle soup and bingo. I love you my pumpkin and I'll see you soon❤❤

Rowan: I just gasped so loud

Sabrina❤: yeah why
Rowan: you're being short with me..
Sabrina❤: sorry I'm doing school to get it over with
Rowan: oh sorry b tell me after
Sabrina❤: otay
I click out of the messages app and open my photos app and, like always, look through pictures of me and Sabrina.
As I'm scrolling through, my sister barges in my room and says,
"Mom said to go downstairs she needs your help cooking."
I groan and follow her down the steps to meet my mom in the kitchen.
She looks at me and sighs with relief and says out of breath,
"Oh good you're here. I need you to grab the turkey out of the oven and see if it's cooked and ready."
I look at the time and say,
"Mom it's only 2 o'clock it can't be ready yet."
She says cutting the onions,
"I've been cooking since about 8 this morning sweetie. You were still sleeping."
My eyes open wide as I shake my head. Hell no. Sabrina can do the cooking when we're older..
Actually, that's an awful idea.
The thought of Sabrina, my girlfriend who has an attention span of a child, cooking a whole thanksgiving meal is screaming disaster.
We'll just cater.
I grab the oven mitts and carefully lift the turkey out of the oven and into the counter.
I stick the thermometer in and read my mom the temperature.
She says,
"Okay that's good can you put that back in the oven and turn it off until we're ready to carve it?"
I nod and she thanks me as I do what she asked.
After dinner
Well I'm pregnant. Pregnant with a food baby. A good ol 9 pound child in me.
My cousin, Stephanie, looks over at me and says,
"I can die right about here. I feel so fat."
I nod my head and say,
"You have noooo idea."
My uncle says,
"I think it's nap time."
We all laugh and continue our conversation on catching up with everybody.
Soon after, we all go to the living room and watch the thanksgiving day parade, then the nfl game.
My sister and cousins and I decide to disperse from the adults and hang out in my room.
As I'm sitting on my bed scrolling through Instagram, my cousin Dave says,
"Hey row you should FaceTime Sabrina! I wanna see her."
Everyone agrees and I say,
"Okay that's a good idea."
I click out of Instagram and go to my recent FaceTime calls and see Sabrina on the top of the list. Obviously.
I hit the call button and wait for her to answer.
When she does I see her laying on the couch with her arms underneath the pillow she's laying on on her stomach with her phone propped up against something.
She smirks with her eyes closed and says,
"Hiya."
I smile and say,
"I got some people that wanna say hi."
She says,
"And you got some people that I wanna say hi to. Who's there?"
I say,
"Some of my moms side of the family is here. Dave wants to say hi most of all though."
I show the camera on Dave and he smiles and waves and says making a peace sign,
"Sup."
Sabrina copies back putting up a peace sign and says in a laid back voice,
"Sup."
He asks,
"Did you have a show today?"
She says closing her eyes,
"No I did not."
He says,
"What about tomorrow?"
She says smiling,
"Yes I do."
He asks,
"Where?"
She says,
"Jersey."
He says,
"That's sick."
She laughs and says,
"Indeed it is."
I show the camera back on me and she stares at me lovingly, smirking. I say,
"You look kinda tired."
She says sighing out,
"I'm exhausted."
Stephanie says,
"It's only 8 o'clock!"
Sabrina says,
"Not where I am."
Stephanie says,
"Oh yeah I forgot. Time zones."
She laughs and says,
"Yeah they stink."
I ask,
"What did you do today that's making you drained?"
She says,
"Hmm. First off, my family came really early this morning and surprised us. Then I did school for like 4 hours straight. Then I ate. And that's it. Doing nothing makes you tired I swear."
I laugh and say,
"Yeah I completely understand that trust me."
She says laying her head down and closing her eyes again,
"What did you guys do today?"
I say,
"Basically the same. Helped cook, ate, watched the parade and the game. Right guys?"
Carmen evilly smirks and says,
"And Rowan cried!"
Sabrina picks her head up really fast and looks at me and asks,
"What why are you okay?"
I say slapping Carmen,
"I didn't cry."
She says,
"You did so! She was looking through pictures and cried."
I say,
"I just got emotional. I'm fine."
Sabrina nods her head and breathes out a sigh of relief and says laying down again,
"Okay good. You scared me there kiddo."
Carmen and I both reply simultaneously,
"Sorry."
Stephanie and Dave laugh and Sabrina and Carmen and I look at each other weirdly.
Sabrina says,
"Uhh. I mean I guess either one of you are 'kiddo.'"
Carmen and I both say at the same time again,
"She was talking to me."
I say,
"Carmen shut up she was talking to me."
She says,
"No she wasn't! Why would she call you kiddo?"
I say,
"Dude it's my girlfriend so back off."
Sabrina busts out laughing and says,
"I'm too tired for this. I'm going to bed."
I pout and say,
"Okay. I'll talk to you tomorrow okay?"
She smiles and says,
"I'll talk to you tomorrow. Night babe and goodnight to your cousins and the whole fam."
I smile and say,
"I love you!"
She says,
"I love you too."
And hangs up the call
