November 12, 1873
Princess Amelia walked across the frosted path of the garden as she ran her thin, well groomed fingers across the crystallized flowers, lost in thought. Her platinum blond hair whisped in the winter breeze. Her blue and white gown dragged elegantly behind her. She had a gentle, pale face that was embellished with her blue-grey eyes and lips like rose petals.
Amelia isn't like most princesses, never was really. She was always doing something; she really enjoyed being in nature or working with her hands. She befriended the maids and chefs of the castle and is always around to help.
Amelia is the princess of England, and like all girls her age, she wished to find true love and to find it on her own. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life with the man her parents thought would be best. But sadly she was already betrothed to the duke of England.
He was tall, handsome, and spoke with a strong and firm voice.
But Amelia did not love Grant. She wanted to because she knew it would please her parents- and she always did what she did to please them. But Amelia and Grant's personalities were total opposites and he wasn't the nicest person she knew. He always talked down to people and always told Amelia to leave the labor for the servants. But she didn't want to. She liked helping and treating everyone the same.
She couldn't help it sometimes but every so often she broke the rules and went out side of the castle walls dressed like a commoner to walk through the market streets, talk to the towns people, offer some help to those in need or disabled and sit upon a hill to look over her kingdom under the moonlight.
