This is a Pantoum that I wrote... I'm not sure how i feel about it...
Just Me
I come from Lisa and William;
rainbows and butterflies,
quirky and crazy,
love and compassion,
protection and creativity,
imagination and inspiration.
We are a Military Family;
guns and bombs,
swords and knives,
hummers and tanks,
explosions and passion,
help and healing,
driving, flying and parachuting.
I’ve traveled to many places;
Germany and America,
New England and Deep South,
Michigan and Ohio,
Oakland and Vallejo,
San Fran and P Town,
Boston and Salem.
I miss Saturday morning cartoons;
Rainbow Brite and Jem and the Hollograms,
Fraggle Rock and The Muppets,
Tiger Sharks and Silver Hawks,
Thundercats and Ronin Warriors,
Sailor Moon and G.I. Joe,
Voltron and Power Rangers,
He-Man and She-Ra.
I grew up in the Kitchen;
Sausage gravy and biscuits,
Grits and corn beef hash,
Fried chicken and corn bread,
Mac & Cheese and PB&J,
Coffee and chocolate,
Mashed potatoes and yams,
Chicken alfredo and perogis.
I played on the slopes;
Mountains and hills,
Blue squares and black diamonds,
Rope tows and chair lifts,
Skis and snowboards,
Wind burn and band aids,
Hot cocoa and cheering.
I became high maintenance;
Nail polish and eye liner,
Blow dryers and flat irons,
Hair dye and high lights,
Hair spray and pomade,
Redken and Bed Head.
I spent too much time in warehouses;
Strobe lights and lasers,
Smoke and deep bass,
E and K,
Candy beads, jelly bracelets and binkies
Wide leg pants and tight tee shirts.
I come from life;
Trials and tribulations,
Hardships and high times,
Mistakes and perseverance.
I come from life experinces both good and bad.
