The mad scientist looks at the hybrid puppy that he created and love so much with pain in his eyes while remembering the truth he found about life and that nothing really matters, he hugs him while setting a deadly laser timer that momentarily disintegrates the puppy's body, and then he positions the laser towards himself after crying about his loved puppy in order to kill himself and just before the laser disintegrates him he passes out for 2 days and the laser misses the drunk sad scientist and disintegrates the chair behind him that he was sitting on.
2 days later he wakes up totally miserable walking around his super secretive lab looking at a photo of his recently deceased daughter, he doesn't even bother cleaning up that mess around the lab since nothing matters an life is meaningless, he overlooks at a caged unknown species that has a label written on it saying the cure for everything, while walking he trips over dozens of alcoholic bottles that has been all drank up by him in the past couple of days.
He gets a flashback of him healthy-walking around a scene of scattered body parts, the loud noises of agonizing dying people, few without eye balls, others with their organs protruding outside their bodies and their bodily fluids leaking all over the place creating a foul smell other than it being unpleasant to watch, then someone suddenly chatters his silent surprise by holding his leg and crawling while trying to say please help but his voice doesn't come out but it can be guessed from the movements of his lips and facial expressions.
He snaps back to reality and stands up firmly, his eyes are focused, his mind is racing more than his heart due to the adrenaline that is rushing through his arteries and he opens an electronic gate with a sign saying inter-dimensional space-time travel...
