Chapter 32
The day has finally come. Watching Victoria walk around like she isn't the devious bitch that she is just turns my stomach. I have been listening to her thoughts over the last week to make sure there has been know changes to their's plans and so far everything is still going to plan. I got up and left, I have heard all I can I take without wanting to kill her on the spot, she is going to feel the worst pain possible and I won't pull it back til she begs for death. We have managed to keep it quite that Damien and I have come back from the darkness and that I have come back stronger than before. The guards have been training harder than ever before. Everyone of them know what's expected of them and where they are suppose to be, if any get past me. Their main objective is to keep the royal family safe, once Victoria leaves to let them in all the royal family is going to be gathered in one room, all except for Marcus, he is going to fight with us. Amelia, Lily, Kyle, the queen and king will be protected by the guards. I got to our house and walked inside to find most of the boys in the room.
"Nothing has been changed, their still planning to attack tonight, we have a few hour's to prepare, everyone know what the plan is" I asked.
I was met with a chorus of "yes".
"Okay, get a couple of hour's rest and we will meet in the training facility" I told them.
They all scattered, this is their first break in week so they jumped at it. I walked up stairs with Damien trailing behind me. He followed me into my room and onto my bed. I set the alarm for two hour's time. I turned back to Damien as he wrapped his arm's around me and we both fell asleep. I woke up slowly to my alarm going off. Damien and I stretched before we got up. He headed to his room to get changed and I walked to my wardrobe. I put on black skinny jeans, a black lace tank top and my five inch ankle boots. When James see' s me, I have to look like I'm not prepared for a fight, if I wear my royal guard uniform he will know straight away. I tied my hair up into a ponytail and grabbed my short black leather jacket and walked out of my room to meet Damien. I couldnt take my eyes off him, he looks so hot in his uniform. I eventually tore my eyes from his gorgeous body. Plenty of time for that later. We walked down stairs and out the door to meet the guards in the training building. We walked in and I could feel the excitement in the room, everyone here is pumped for this fight, if it comes to that.
"We all know what we have to do, let's make this fight one that will send a message to any vampires who think they can come here and attack the royals, tonight is letting. them know that they won't survive, none of them are to be left alive, this is our opportunity to show them they can't fuck with us and live" I said.
I looked around as everyone nodded their agreement.
"There is nothing else to say other than good luck and get into your positions" I said.
Immediately everyone went running from the building and into their positions except Marcus and Damien.
"Good luck lil sis, do what you do best" Marcus said hugging me.
"Oh I will, Victoria is going to really understand what pain is by the time I have finished with her" I said and Marcus smiled.
"Call us if you need help okay, I love you and I will see you soon" Damien told me and kissed my lips gently.
Walking out into the darkness, I hid in the shadows waiting for Victoria to turn up and let James in. I didn't have to wait long. Victoria planned it to a tee. The five minutes between the guards shift when know one is there is when she arrived, looking around to make sure know one has seen her. I watched her put the code in and the gates open. James and his little army of vampire walked in like they owned the place. I slowly stepped out of the shadows silently.
"Tut tut Victoria, your suppose to take the trash out, not let it in" I scolded her in a cold voice. I almost laughed when she jumped to the sound of my voice.
"How did you know my dear beloved that we were coming?" James asked with lust filled black eyes.
"I have my way' s beloved, is this little army suppose to get you past the royal guards, not one of them have a gift, yet every royal guard has, you really have set yourself up for a fall" I smirked.
"But have I really, you are here, that must means you have listened to what I told you, you want their power as much as I do" he smiled.
"I have my own power James, why would I need to take their's" I asked. I could feel him try push past the blocks in my mind but I shut him completely out.
"Your a powerful but you don't have the power they had, I find it remarkable that I can't even get a glimpse of what your thinking, you have become quite a gifted vampire" he said still trying to push past my barriers.
"Didn't anyone tell you it's rude to try read people's thought, you can push all you like but you won't get past my barriers" I said distracting him as I read his thoughts. Interesting, he thinks he has a way to kill me and Marcus.
"Why are you hiding what you are thinking" he asked.
"You won't get any advantages with me James, you don't know what my decision or next moves are, it's more fun this way, don't you think? " I asked.
"So your going to play games, how about I kill you and end this now" he said with a dangerous look in his eyes.
"Go ahead and try, just a tip, you can't kill me that way" I said coldly.
"What are you talking about?" James asked looking shocked.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about James, what makes you think you could even get that close to me to even try it" I said fury lacing my voice.
His whole face dropped, he has finally figured out he isn't the only mind reader here. This is getting boring and my blood lust is building. I thought of Victoria while I looked James in the eyes. I concentrated on giving her the highest level of pain. I smirked at James a second before Victoria let out an ear piercing scream of pain. I heard her drop to the ground instantly and her body start to convulse. I pulled it back and I could hear her sigh of relief, but I wasn't done, I sent another round of pain ripping through her body as she begged for the pain to stop. So I granted her wish and thought of death. Her body went completely still and lay lifeless on the ground beside James, just as I thought he doesn't care for her, he didn't even blink while she was screaming in pain.
"I see you have improved on you unique gift" he snarled.
"How about I show you" I said with an evil smile, as I took in the faces of the five men standing on his left and right. I concentrated on all on them and thought of death. Instantly ten lifeless bodies fell to the ground as the other men behind him gasped in shock. A few even tried to run but I put up barrier with my kinetic energy stopping them from leaving.
I could smell their fear roll off them in waves, James never told them about the different powers I have. They are completely left in the dark, thinking only of the power that is in their grasp, inches away from them and me, I'm just an obstacle they need to get past. James made his move, he ran for me with the dagger he believes can kill me, all he has to do is pierce my heart with it. I dug deep into my powers and thought of a pain worse than what Victoria experienced. James body went rigid as his knee's gave out, but he isn't going to get to curl into a ball and try fight it. I used my telekinesis and held his body up uncomfortably straight as he scream a blood curdling scream.
"Don't for a second think you death is going to be this easy, you and your little army are going to serve as a example of what happens to vampire who try to kill the royal family" I said looking at James and the vampires behind him. A couple of vampires got a boost of courage and made a move to attack me. They didn't even get within a hundred meters of me, I used my telekinesis to knocked them off their feet, sending them flying backwards and bouncing hard off my barrier before they hit the ground with a hard enough thump to break a few bones. I turned my attention back to James, I brought my flames to my hands and slowly wrapped my flames around an already screaming James, til they are so close to his skin that he is starting to burn. I pulled a ball of energy and wrapped it around James holding him as I pulled back my telekinesis. I could only hear his screams muffled now. I watched as the ball of energy lite up but the flames never came out of the energy ball. A few minute's later I could know longer hear James' s muffled screams, I pulled back my flames and energy, watching as a pile of ashes that used to be James hit the ground and scatter.
I turned my attention back to James little army who are now literally shaking. I meant what I said, know one is going to survive this if I want to prevent anymore attacks on my family. Like with the other ten, I focused on all of them and thought of a painful death, seconds later I could hear their body hit the floor simultaneously with a thump. I brought my flames to the surface again and sent them towards the lifeless bodies laid out in front of me til like James, the only thing left was ash. I heard cheering erupt behind and turned around to face the guards, Damien, Marcus, Amelia,Lily and Jacob.
"I told you guy's she wouldn't even need us. You took down over a hundred vampire's by yourself without so much as a scratch, did the even get near you" Marcus asked proudly.
"The closest they got near was a hundred meters" I told him with a smile.
I looked at Damien who was standing beside Marcus looking at me with love and pride in his eyes. The other guards looked relieved, I suppose as much as they were pumped for a fight, they knew someone they cared about could have ended up dead, this way they are all protected and no death's on our side. I could hear footsteps thumping off the ground and running towards us. The person pushed through the crowd til I saw it was kyle, followed by a relieved looking king and queen.
"Thank you Lexi, for protecting our friend and family" the king smiled.
"Have you lost your fucking mind dad, she killed Victoria, my beloved, that is punishable by death" kyle shouted.
Damien had to hold Marcus back from walking over and killing kyle, if Marcus' s looks could kill like mine, Kyle would have dropped dead by now. Everyone started at the lying disgrace in front of us, everyone here knows Victoria wasn't kyle' s beloved and that she was a traitor letting in James and his army so they could kill the royal family. The king approached kyle looking extremely pissed off.
"Know it is not, that girl isn't your beloved, she never was, do you want to know what she was, a traitor who opened the gates to let her true beloved in to kill us all as we slept in our bed' s. You are the one that lied to us and brought her into our home, only for Lexi found out what she and her beloved were up to, we would all be dead thanks to you. I have never been more ashamed of you as I am now, get out of my sight before I do something I won't regret" the king shouted with fury evident in his voice.
I watched kyle and knew what he is about to do. I could feel it. He is pulling at the energy around us to use against his father. Just as he released it, I stopped it with my telekinesis and pulled the energy into my body. I could feel the king pushing at my barriers. I nodded and read his thought's. I looked at kyle and let a low level of pain hit him. His face turned red and he struggled to stay on his feet. Everyone turned to look at me shocked but I kept my eyes on the king. After a minute of two, he raised his hand to stop me.
"Thank you Lexi, I think that should be enough to teach him a lesson" the king said looking at kyle who is now on his knee's.
I nodded and looked at kyle aswell.
"You try to attack me again kyle, I will let Lexi use her full power on you to teach you a lesson. You attack your own father when you are the one that brought her into our home. You are on your own now kyle, when you leave to return to school we will not be supporting you. You can get a job like other student and work for your money. You have had too easy a life, but not anymore, Lexi would you mind getting rid of Victoria' s body like the rest" he asked looking at me with sad and hurt eyes. I nodded and let my flames erupt and sent them towards Victoria' s body, wrapping around her til only ash was left. Kyle walked away with a furious look on his face, what a fucking ungrateful brat. Damien walked towards me and wrapped his arm's around me.
"I'm proud of you Lexi, you protected us all and kept yourself safe aswell. I know the king and queen are grateful to you, you kept the guards safe aswell, they don't know it but the king and queen think of them as their extended family" Damien said.
"I just hope we sent a strong enough message out to any vampires who think they have the right to attack" I told him.
"I think you more than did that and you didn't let the darkness inside you win, you kept you balance, how about we go home" Damien said kissing my neck.
"That's a good idea, I have been dying to peel that uniform off you since earlier" I whispered.
Damien picked me up and threw me over his shoulder as he walked back towards the house. I didn't protest, I have the perfect view of his ass from right here.
