Devaki's POV
I woke up as my phone rang. It was Mahi Bhai.
"Hi Bhai" I said. "Devaki, 8 baj rhe h uthi nhi thi abhi takk?" He asked.
I looked at the time. Damn. I had to wake up at 6.
"Woh...kal raat..." I said but didn't complete the sentence.
"Milke btati hu Bhai. Vese phone kyu kiya?" I asked.
"Shaam ko BCCI ki meeting h. Men aur Women teams k captains aur vice-captains ko bulaya h, aa jana" He said.
I agreed and ended the call.
I got fresh and went in the hall. Servants served me breakfast.
"Thakurayan, Badi Thakurayan aapko yaad kr rhi thi" A servant said.
Thakurayan!? Are you kidding me? I glared at him. It wasn't his fault so I simply nodded.
I went to Sumedh's mom.
"Aunty apne bulaya tha?" I asked. She smiled. "Beta Maa bulaya kr mujhe" She said. I faked a smile and nodded.
"Shaadi k lie shopping krne jaana h, aaj jaoghi ya kal?" She asked. "Umm, kal. Aaj BCCI ki meeting h to mujhe waha jaana h" I said.
"Theek h koi baat nhi. Accha Sumedh abhi takk so raha h, usko uthado please" She said.
"Lekin..." I said. "Jao beta" She insisted. I nodded.
I went to Sumedh's room. He was sleeping peacefully.
There was a time when he looked cute while sleeping, but this time he was looking like a devil.
I gritted my teeth. "Aaj se saari sharafat geyi tel lene" I thought.
"Subhah ho geyi h, uthiye!" I said. He didn't move.
"Ese nhi...SUBHAH HO GEYI H! UTHO!!!" I almost yelled.
He wasn't getting up. I was getting angry.
"Haath to me ise lgaunghi nhi" I said.
I kicked him hard. He got up with a jerk. "AAAHHH!!!" He screamed.
He looked at me. "Yeh kya tareeka h uthane ka?" He asked.
"Yeh mera tareeka h...saathme rehna h to adaat dal'lo" I said.
Sumedh's POV
"Maa bula rhi h tumhe, tayaar ho jao" She said. "Tumhe? Aap se seedha tum?" I asked surprisingly.
"Woh kya h na, 'Aap' kehlane k lie tumhari aukaat boht choti h" She said and left.
I got fresh and went in the hall. I had breakfast.
"Beta Devaki ko le jaana shaam ko" Mummy said and told me that Devaki had the BCCI meeting.
Mummy went.
"Shaam ko kitne bje chodu tumhe?" I asked Devaki. "Me khud chali jaunghi" She replied.
I rolled my eyes.
"Car start krni bhi aati h?" I asked. "Ek kaam kro, shaam ko saathme chalte h. Me chalaunghi, tum bethna ok?" She asked confidently. I nodded.
"Vese shaadi k lie haan bolke akalmandi ka kaam kiya h tumne" I said with a smirk.
"Ab tumhari life ki esi innings shuru krunga k sare record toot jaenghe" I said.
She kept quiet for some seconds.
"Accha? Listen, yeh mat sochna meri haan se tumhari jeet ho geyi, kyunki shaadi k baad narak tumhari life baneghi. Innings shuru hogi, lekin tumhari life ki. Chakka maarna to door, tum yeh takk samajh nhi paoghe k bowl aa kaha se rhi h aur geyi kaha" She said confidently.
"Boht powerful samajhte ho na khud ko? Dekhte h, kisme kitni takaat h. Kon kisko rokta h aur kon kispe bhaari padta h" She said.
"Tumhe jitna dimaag lagana h lagao, akhir me ho to ladki hi na. Chahe duniya k kisi bhi sport ki captain kyu na ban jao, rahogi ladki hi...kucch nhi kar paoghi mere saamne" I said.
"Yehi British Empire ne socha tha jab akeli Jhansi ki Rani unke khilaaf khadi hui thi" She replied.
I kept quiet.
"Jawaab nhi h? Hoga bhi kese" She said laughing.
"Dekhte jao, kya kya krti hu me. Life barbaad meri nhi tumhari hogi. Tumne khud apni barbaadi ko invitation diya h, good luck Thakur!!" She said and left.
