Kiana POV
"GoodNight Carnel" I gave him a peck on the cheek then walked to my door, the night was young, it was maybe 6pm.
I waved to him as I stepped in my house and he pulled off.
"Well you look very nice" my grandmother complimented me laying back in her recliner watching lifetime movies.
"How was physical therapy ?" I asked her as I slipped off my flats the placed a kiss on her cheek
"Good but I'm not as young as I used to be darling" she told me sighing
"I wouldn't guess your age in a million years" I smiled at her and then went upstairs to my room.
I stripped down, took a shower and as soon as I got in my bed I fell fast asleep.
*next morning*
I woke up and looked around, I looked at my alarm clock and it was 7am. I rushed out of bed and went into the bathroom, taking care of my hygiene. I applied my cherry blossom lotion and put on my shrubs. I decided to leave my hair out so I brushed it out and added a braid to each side then pinned them back.
My phone rang, I answered it as I grabbed my bag and keys
"Hey" Shane greeted me, I stopped in the beginning of the stairs and looked at my phone
"Shane ?" I asked astonished that he would ever call me for anything other than school
"Yeah, wassup ?" He said
"I don't have time for this I'm about to be late to school" I told him rushing down the stairs
"How are you getting there ?"
"Walking duh" I responded
"Imma come pick you up" he announced
"W.., ok" I stopped myself, I needed a ride
"I'll be there in a minute" he informed me then hung up. I grabbed a muffin and a orange juice then walked outside and locked my door.
Shane was surprisingly on time sitting in his car in front of my house. I got inside and closed the door.
"Thanks" I praised him
"No problem, now since I have you and you can't escape I need to ask you something " he said pulling off smiling
"I knew there had to be a catch, what is it" I whined
"Why do you dress like that ?" He asked me tugging at my shrubs
"It's comfortable and i have a lot of nursing classes" I shrugged
"I got one more" he told me stopping at the red light before our school
"Uhhuh" I said biting into my muffin
"Have you ever had feelings for me ?" He asked pulling into the parking lot of our school, I almost choked on my muffin
"What kind of feelings ?" I asked drinking my juice, washing down my food, he gave me the "don't act dumb" look and I sighed
"The truth and we're not leaving this car til you answer" he told me while locking the door
"No" I lied, I had a crush on him since 8th grade that just faded away throughout the years
"Your lying" he told me crossing his arms, I looked at him then sighed.
"Well I.." I started to say before something caught my attention, Jamiya was in the car vertical to us kissing some boy, but that car looked familiar, Carnel ?
"Well ?" He asked
"Isn't that your girlfriend ?" I asked pointing to the car she was in
"Whe.." Then I saw a look of genuine anger flash across his face, I never seen him angry but i hate to say it looked good on him.
He unlocked the door and got out the car, he walked to the car she was in and swung open the door. She looked at him with a look mixed with fear and confusion, he pulled her out the car and she stood in front of him. He yelled at her and she tried to calm him down, Carnel stepped out the car and started yelling at Shane.
About five seconds in Shane swung and punched him in his face. That's when I took the keys out the ignition and put them in my pocket, I left my bag in the car and I got out the car and locked it running over to the drama, by this time the bell had rung so no one was outside. I grabbed Shane's arm and tried too pull him to the car, Jamiya was trying to help Carnel off the ground.
" I should've never fucking trusted you !" Shane yelled at Jamiya then gave into me trying to pull him. As we approached the car he got in and I followed, he banged his head on the steering wheel for a second.
"Are you ok ?" I asked him
"What could he give her that I
couldn't ??" He yelled, I started rubbing his back as I saw a tear fall from his face
"Nothing" I shook my head
"Then why did she cheat on me ?" He drilled me
"I don't know, she was lucky to have you " I told him truthfully, he shook his head and then laid on the stirring wheel shedding a few tears
"She was, your handsome and caring and faithful" I started getting lost in my own thoughts
"And strong and funny and sweet but playful" I continued
"Any girl would be happy to have you" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked over at him. He lifted his head up and looked over to me
"You mean that ?" He asked
"Well yeah" I told him, he sat up and looked at me for a second, after he leaned in and surprising me placed a warm, sweet kiss on my lips. I gave in and kissed him back.
After realizing what was happening I pulled away and looked away grabbing my bag.
"Imma go now" I said handing him the keys, getting out the car
"Wait" he said but I was already walking swiftly towards the school, once I got in I went into the building I went straight to the office with him still trailing close behind. He walked in getting a pass also but occasionally looking at me. I walked out and went to my locker
"wait" he told me, I stopped at my locker and he finally caught up to me
"Are we gonna talk about this ?" He questioned as I opened up my locker
"Nothing to talk about, you were hurting I was there I get it" i said quickly taking my stuff out. In the middle of me closing my locker he pulled me closer to him by my waist and gave me another kiss.
Instead this time it was laced with passion and he hugged my body placing his hand on my lower back. When we pulled away I was speechless all I could do was gaze into his eyes
"It's so much more than that baby girl" he spoke lowly
I looked at home for a second then worked up the courage to talk
"I have to get to class" I said in a whisper tone, he pulled me in for one more short kiss and I didn't resist, I just kind of stood there. As soon as he let me go I scurried off to class.
I handed my teacher my pass then went to the same seat I occupied yesterday. The teacher informed we were working on our projects and I took out my notes and began to write a draft, just then Shane walked into class. I glanced up and then quickly looked away but I caught him smiling at me. He leaned into kiss me but I turned my face to where he kissed my cheek.
"So it's like that ?" He asked me looking kind of appalled
"No , I'm just confused, what is this ? One minute your making my life hell and the next your trying to kiss all over me." I said searching his face for some type of emotion
He sat by me and put his arm around his waist then sighed.
"I've been trying to get your attention since seventh grade, you haven't noticed ? That's why I did what I did, I just wanted to talk to you, I been thinking about being with you for so long." He finally said then licked his lips, I watched wanting to kiss them again
"I just didn't know how to tell you, I thought you would go for someone like me. Your beautiful and your body makes it hard for me not to keep my eyes off you" he told me, brushing his hand over my thigh
I leaned in for the first time and kissed him first, our mouths moved in sync as he tried to slip his tongue in my mouth. I pulled away and for a second just sat there with my eyes close
"I've wanted you to say those words to me since freshman year" I opened my eyes to see him there still listening
"But now.. I .. I've moved on" I told him, expecting him to get mad
"I know I'm late but you just gotta give me a chance ma, we don't have to jump into anything but just tell me you'll think about us. Can we talk ?" He said as if he'd been waiting his whole life to get that off his chest. All I did was nod and he pecked me on the lips one more time.
"Your lips are sweet" he told me inches away and pecked them again
"I can't get enough of you" he told me before the ball rang. He retrieved his hand from around my waist as I got up and got my books.
I hurried out of class and pulled Sirena into the bathroom.
"Hey girl, how was your..." I cut her off
"Jamiya was cheating on Shane with Carnel and now I can't even look at him. Then Shane hit him and told me he had feelings for me since middle school and kissed me like 5 times, and I don't know but I think I like it" I said really quickly
"I knew she was a hoe ! But now Carnel is out of the picture so what your dating Shane ?" She asked
"No but he asked if we could talk and I think I said yes" I spilled, this was as much talking I've ever done at school. The bell rang stopping my mad rant.
"Go get your man girl" Sirena laughed pushing me out the bathroom.
I sprinted to the gym and walked into the changing room quickly switching my clothes. I locked my locker then walked into the gym to see people already started playing.
I was walking to the volleyball net before a hand grabbed my arm.
"You have to help me get Shane back" Jamiya said on the verge of tears
"I can't" I said, just wanting to play
Shane came over to us saving me from this conversation. I saw him in a whole different way then yesterday, I swooned over this perfect body as sweat dripped off him
"I'm not taking you back, you cheated on ME" he said shaking his head
"Baby I can change, it was a mistake" she begged
"I don't want you, why would I want a sorry cheater when I have something better" he told her
"Who's gonna be better then us baby ?" She asked
"Us" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me into a passionate kiss that made my knees weak. As he pulled away I saw the look of disbelief on her face, I was shocked myself.
"You'll regret leaving me" she said to him and then looked towards me
"Your just a rebound, I'll be back where I belong real soon" she told me, I felt anger flash threw my body as I was about to jump on her.
Shane stood in front of me and Jamiya flinched, back up walking swiftly to the bleachers.
Shane picked me up and carried me to the bleachers on the opposite side of the gym , I tried to break loose but he was too strong.
"She's not worth it" he told me holding me, I loosened up and looked at Shane. His arms were wrapped around me and I was sitting on his lap
"Sorry" he said letting his grip on my loose
"It's ok" I replied putting my arms around his neck and he was now cradling me
"Tell me how you feel about me" I was ready to listen
"I been having feelings for you for 3 years now ma, I want you to finally be mines, your perfect for me, I remember when I first saw you in seventh grade I always used to want to sit by you, but you never paid me no mind " he started pouring his feelings out to me
"Every time I see you with someone I know that's suppose to be me, tell me how you feel tho" he finished and I took a breath
"I never noticed you in seventh grade I mean I was shy, I still am but In eighth grade I couldn't keep my eyes off you and since we got in high school it's like I've been trying to push my feelings for you away" I confessed
"Don't push them away baby" he told me as I sat up on his lap. I turned around to see Jamiya crying on Carnel's lap, I frowed my eyebrows as I looked over at them.
"Forget about them" Shane said turning my face towards him
"Can I have a kiss ?" I asked poking my lip out
"Mhm" he said as he leaned in and our lips met, our lips moved in sync then he licked my bottom lip and this time I allowed him entrance, the kiss was so sweet as our tongues tangoed.
"Oh My God Kiana !" A voice whisper yelled and I broke the kiss turning bright red as Sirena stood there in shock
"Omg" I laughed covering my face and stood up
"I told you go get him not practically have sex on the bleachers !" She threw her hands up in the air laughing and I just realized her boyfriend was there laughing too
"Man we were just kissing" Shane laughed putting his arm over my shoulder
"We need to talk" she grabbed my arm and dragged me to the locker room. I waved bye to Shane and let her lead the way.
