I'm back! And ready for book two! Missed you guys ;)
Daryl's Pov
I grab a bowl of yogurt for breakfast. I sit down by myself at a table. Most people are already starting their morning jobs. I quietly finish my breakfast and clean up the rest of the dinning hall.
I go to see her everyday, I try to avoid it as much as I can. Its just too depressing for me.
I walk in her room. I look at her and think of that day. We all knew it was a bad idea for her to go up there, I shouldn't have made her come this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for me.
She looks better than she has in a while. Hershel said she won't come back from it, she won't wake up from the coma, but I have a small grain of hope that she might.
Her wrists and ankles are cuffed to the metal bed so if she were to die and turn.....
Her cuts that were on her face mostly healed her arm is recovering, but like she will ever use it again. Her bruises are healed completely, she had a very large one on her back from falling on the hard floor.
Hershel said that she had another concussion from the fall and she could just be brain dead. But the medical stuff we have doesn't really tell us or help us as much as we would like it to.
I move her hair away from her face and look at her. I walk out of the room not being able to tolerate it any more.
They told me it was my decision if I wanted to unplug the machines that we scavenged to help her breathe. If I wanted her to be shot in the head. If I want her life to end. If I wanted take away any chance she had of living. It was my decision to decide her fate. I had to decide this. And I couldn't do it.
