After Avery left, I waited a few minutes, then left too. Just to make sure it wouldn't look suspicious, not that it already didn't. He's the known sex-maniac of the school, I could only imagine what the librarian would think.

I looked at the clock on the wall and realized I had about 20 minutes of lunch left. Rushing into the cafeteria, I got a ham and cheese sandwich and thanked G-d that there was hardly a line to pay for it.

Just as I was turning around, someone bumped into me. Lucky for me, I didn't drop my lunch but that didn't stop the milk that collided with my chest. That's not the worst part, it didn't smell fresh.

"Oh my gosh." That was literally all I could say.

"Shit. I'm sorry, I didn't see you." The deep voice said. I'm assuming it's a boy, but you'd be surprised by the girls I've seen that would have you mistaken.

I wanted to look up but I just couldn't tear my eyes away from the clumpy, white blotch that is soaking through my shirt. Before I could fully process what was happening, I was being dragged out of the cafeteria. Once we entered the hall, we were greeted with silence. Everyone was either in class already or at lunch. All that could be heard was the taps of our feet that echoed off the lockers.

I don't know what brought me out of little daze, whether it was the fact that we entered a brightly lit room or the fact that the room had the aroma of urine. Seriously, it was burning my nose. Everything I smelled was just foul.

Then, if my senses weren’t already being damaged by the odor, it seems like my hearing stopped because when I looked up, I saw the most breathtaking piece of male to belong to the human race. Somehow, I noticed his mouth was moving.

“I’m sorry, what?” I interrupt him while shaking away my thoughts.

Chuckling, he responds. “I said, sorry for your shirt and that I have an extra one in my locker.”

“Oh, um… it’s okay.”

“Are you sure? I feel really bad, I should’ve been looking.”

“No no, it’s fine. Stuff like this happens all the time. I practically have a wardrobe in my locker since my clothes always ends up being soaked with a variety of liquids.” I laughed awkwardly.

“Seriously? That just makes me feel even worse.”

“No, I was lying. This never happened to me. But hey! There’s a first for everything right?”

“Yeah I guess, but it could’ve been avoided.” He lightly rubbed the back of his neck.

“Mistakes happen. We learn from them. You learned to look while you walk with milk, that was spoiled by the way, and I learned that I need to bring extra clothes to school.” I joked.

“So let me get you that shirt.”  He said as we proceeded to leave the bathroom.

“Hey, why did we go into the bathroom?”

“I thought you might have wanted to clean up but I remembered I had extra clothing.”

I nodded as we walked down the hall. As we walked, I attempted to count the lockers we passed. I got up to 13 when the silence was interrupted by him.

“What’s your name by the way?”

That caused me to stop walking, which caused him to stop too. He looked at me with a confused expression but I ignored it and stuck my hand out.

“I’m Grace.”

Nodding in comprehension, since he realized what I was doing, he grasped my hand and introduced himself.

“I’m Dylan.” He said while smiling a bit.

We stood like that for a few seconds before I, uncontrollably, sneezed. On him.

“Oh my gosh, I’m sorry. Oh my goodness I didn’t even feel it coming. I’m really sorry. That was really gross of me-” I rambled as my body’s temperature sky-rocketed. Seriously, I felt as if I was on fire.

To my relief, he laughed. “I guess I deserve that. It’s karma, so we’re even.”

“No! No, no, no I wasn’t trying to get even! I can’t believe myself right now.”

“It’s all good. Come on, let’s get your shirt before lunch is over.”

Dylan pulled me, while still holding my hand and boy let me tell you something, his hand was soft. If I looked down, I probably couldn’t be able to see my hand because his was huge. But it was cold, which was good because my hand was probably sweating from embarrassment.

We walked the rest of the way in silence. It wasn’t as awkward as I expected it to be. But in a way, it still was since he never let go of my hand. I never held anyone’s hand before so this was new. It was different, but a good different. I liked the way his hand felt in mine. It wasn’t a perfect fit but it was comfortable.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt him let go of my hand. He opened the door and went inside. I started to look around since I didn’t want to stand outside alone while I waited for him.

“Are you coming in?” Dylan popped his head out.

“Um, no it’s okay. I’ll wait for you. It’s the boy’s locker room after all.”

“You didn’t seem to have a problem with being inside the boy’s bathroom. At least no one’s in here.”

Knowing I wasn’t going to win this argument, I huffed and walked to the door that he now held open. I didn’t want to look at him because he would most likely have a smug smile on his face knowing that he got his way.

I followed him to his locker and tried to avoid the stench of old gym clothes and sweat.

“Ugh, why do boys smell so bad?” I barely registered what I said and was about to take it back when Dylan burst into a fit of laughter.

“I like you. You’re funny. But to answer your question, I don’t know why. I hope I don’t smell bad.” He smirked and twisted his combination into his lock.

“I don’t think you do. I could only smell the spoiled milk.”

“Yeah, I’m sorry about that. I really didn’t mean it.” He opened it and took out his gym shirt.

“Well I sneezed on you, right? So we’re even.” I laughed awkwardly and take the shirt he’s holding out for me.

“So you could change here. I know you don’t really want to walk around with…” He motions to my shirt that is stuck to me.

“Uh, okay.” I replied uneasily.

“Don’t worry I’ll turn around. I won’t peek.” He raised his hands in surrender and spun to face the other way.

Shifting from one foot to another, I turned around too. It’s too weird for me to expose myself to him, even if it’s to his back. I still feel like he could see me.

I quickly peel my shirt off and wipe my stomach and chest with a draw part. My bra isn’t too wet, thankfully. It’s mostly just the outside so I patted as much moisture as I could, out. I quickly slipped Dylan’s shirt on because I still had a fear of someone walking in. When I finished, I turned around and practically jumped three feet into the air.

“I thought you said you weren’t going to look!” I squeaked out as I tried to regain the air that left my lungs.

“You were taking a while, I didn’t know if you finished.”

“I would’ve told you if I was finished!”

He doesn’t respond, he just chuckles and walks to the exit. I huffed in annoyance but followed anyway.

“So what do you have next?” Dylan asked me.

“World History.” I mumble, still not very fond of his little peek show.

“That’s boring.” He chuckles.

“I know. Ms. Kale makes it boring. She has a monotone voice like she’s trying to make us fall asleep.”

We continued to walk down the hall when the bell rang.

“Can I walk you?”

“Uh... yeah sure, I guess.” I stutter.

“Cool.” He smiles and walks me to class. Occasionally, he greets his friends that pass by and in no time, we’re at the door to my classroom.

“Thanks, you didn’t have too.” I look up at him.

“It’s no problem.”

“And I’ll give you your shirt back as soon as possible.”

“No, it’s okay. It looks good on you.”

That comment made my cheeks heat up so I looked away to see my teacher arriving.

“Yeah, um… I have to get to class. Thanks for letting me borrow your shirt.” I say and turn to walk in. I’m halfway in the door when I’m pulled back.

“We should hang out sometime?” It came out more like a question.

“Sure.” I nod and smile. Once again, I turn to leave and this time I make it to my seat.

I couldn’t help but keep the small smile on my lips.

The smell of his shirt travels up to my nose and I couldn’t help but inhale deeply. He smelled freaking amazing.

No he definitely doesn’t stink.
