Nicole's P.O.V.
Next morning, I woke up at a normal time and got ready taking all my time. After a long time, I've got a normal morning and I'm not going to waste my day for anyone or thinking about anybody. Today, I'll make my day super normal like before, where me and my sketches will accompany each other.
I wore a casual leather jacket with floral top inside and black leggings and wore my black sports shoes, way to go Tomboy!!
I traipsed downstairs happily but my smile faded when I saw my mom, dad and Tim having breakfast sitting on the same table but lost in their own world. Why do they even care to pretend that they want a normal family?
I moved towards them and said "Good morning", meekily.
"Morning", the rest three replied in a boring way.
Julian served my breakfast and I saw Kian standing at a distance in the kitchen. He had his bag on his shoulder and he was just staring at us. When his eyes met mine, they twinkled in happiness.
Gosh, I missed him so much. It had high time that we've spent time together.
"Hey champ, come and have breakfast with us", I said and he came running happily towards me.
"Nicole, what the hell is wrong with you? He can't have breakfast with us", Mom said in her most practiced royal accent.
Kian came and stand behind my chair and it squeezed my heart. "Why?", I asked.
"Julian, just take your son away. He must be getting late for school", my dad said this time.
"But I want to have my breakfast with Kian", I said but they ignored it.
Julian came and took away crying Kian outside. Her eyes held so much pain and I couldn't take it anymore. Say anything to me but not Kian. He's my family.
"Nicole Anderson, I know you don't have any respect for us as your parents but at least have a standard for yourself. You're Anderson's kid and we don't share seats with poor people", my mom said.
"But she's my nanny. I respect her and Kian is lovable to me", I said.
"So? If you'll like roadside garbage, it doesn't mean that we'll allow them in our house", Tim said this time.
"Tim, just mind your language", I said gritting my teeth.
"Shut up your mouth lady", he said not backing away.
"Both of you stop it now only", Dad said for the first time.
"Nicole, you should've learnt by now that who are good for you and who are bad for you. We've a standard and you shouldn't do anything that bring bad name to your family", my dad said.
Oh, I expected this only. These fake people with their stupid standards.
"I don't care for you standards, Kian is like a brother to me and I won't leave him ever, and not for anyone", I said looking at all of them.
"I listened you did party for that poor kid. Well, it's okay he can't afford grand parties after all", my mom said polishing her nails.
This is getting too far. They can't treat Kian like this.
"He's far better than you but, may be he's poor but still he's rich by heart", I spoke angrily.
"Watch your mouth Cole. I'm warning you, try to raise your standard and stay away from those servants. Or else, I'll fire them", mom said and I just couldn't say anything.
I got up without eating and took my bag and left the home with anger filled in my veins and tears blurring my vision and choking my throat. Why are they like this? What will they get in this?
They've hurted a pure heart, kian is a kid. He doesn't even know about society and money, all he knew is language of love but these money minded people won't understand that.
I hate them. They value money more than anyone's else emotions. How much I wish to have Julian as my real mother, Kian is rich than me in having a loving family. Money can't buy love for you, it do separate you from your near ones.
With a heavy head, I reached college and went to canteen and ordered coffee for me. My phone rang in mean time. It was message from my mom.
It said,
"Today we're going to have dinner with my friends. Be ready on time". I sighed.
I can't say no to her because if I did so, she'll stop giving me pocket money and I don't earn anything so no pocket money means no fees for Kian's school expenses.
Julian didn't allow me to spend my money on Kian's education but still I do. I'm hopeless about my life and carrier, but I want him to have dreams and become a successful person one day and if I could help him in that, then what's wrong in that? For me, it gives me immense happiness.
I moved to my arts class with hope that making sketch would give me a bit relaxation. The class was almost full, and I sat with one of the batch mate.
"Hey, Nicole", someone called me and I looked back. Rian was waving hand at me.
"Hi", I passed him wave back with a smile. He smiled back at me widely.
"Come here, sit with me", he said addressing a vacant seat next to him and I agreed and joined him.
"So, you're ready for dinner tonight?", Rian shooted his question.
"I'm sorry but", I said scratching my head and continued saying, "I've to attend a dinner party tonight with my mom".
"Oh", he said popping word 'O' whilst his face show sadness.
"It's okay, don't worry. We can arrange any other party for your meeting with Kate", he said.
"Yeah, sure. Austin must be happy to meet her", I said.
"No, he's not coming. He had to attend a family function", Rian said and I just nodded in response.
Soon, Nial also came and passed me a smile. I responded back and the class started as soon as Mrs. Holes came. Austin was absent today.
After class during lunch time, Me, Cali and Max sat together. Other's haven't joined us yet, so I took it as a cue to squeeze information from them.
"Tell me what happened last night?", I asked Max.
"Well as per plan, I made Kate agree that I'm in love with you", he said with a frown and then continued, "And she agreed to help me".
"And what about you?", I asked Cali.
"Oh, as we've planned, I pretend to be shocked to see Max and Kate together. I intentionally made Austin and Ellie meet with Kate and they were normal with Kate. They all behaved civil", Cali said.
Right, so finally Kate is back in group, there are chances of me meeting her soon.
Wow, you're agreeing to be part of this group? My mind said.
I mean, Nial's group!! I said.
"Okie, so you both just behave in front of Kate in today's party and make sure that she doesn't let know about you two being together", I said firmly to Cali and Max.
"Okie, I'll try", Max said in a bored tone.
"No, we won't let you down but aren't you coming?", Cali asked.
"No, I've to attend some dinner party with my mom", I replied and they nodded.
Soon, other people joined us and our conversation came to halt. After the lunch, I attended back to back classes. College do a nice job of relaxing me but what after college?
Same old house and same old tension and fights. After college ended, I bid bye to everyone and walked to the back of the college to fed my bunny.
I spread some breads over there and sat down with the help of the tree. I looked aimlessly in infinity towards the far most standing images of mountains. This place is so special to me. Images of my having letter conversation with Lone Boy, flashed back and a smile spread on my face.
Rian, my lone boy. How much I wish to go back in time and change everything. I want to have those secret talks again, but now I can't because it's no fun now.
I tore a page from my notebook and worte on it,
"I miss you Lone Boy. I know that things have changed but still I wish that I would've never known you.
Gosh, I'm insane"
Happy girl.
I agreed that I'm gone insane because firstly I wrote a letter to Rian, and secondly I placed the letter over there only and put a stone over the letter.
I know Rian would consider me crazy when he'll read it still, I want him to continue our pen friend's kinda friendship again.
I moved back to my home to get ready for the party. As soon as I reached, I saw Julian working in kitchen. I turned my heels to the kitchen, I wanted to say her sorry for my family's rude behaviour.
"Hey Julian", I said.
"Oh, you came. You go and freshen up, I'll come soon with your milk shake", she said.
"Julian, I'm sorry for whatever happened in the morning. I... I", before I could say she cuts me in between.
"You don't have to be sorry Cole. I understand everything and Kian is also fine", she said with a genuine smile and I sighed in relief.

Right now, I'm getting ready for a party and my mom had chosen a dress for me, to be precise a new dress for me again!! I'm thinking how about I sell a few dresses of hers and make some money, she won't even got to know.
Because she always would give me new dress whenever I'm gonna go with her. Hmm, I'll surely think about it. I straightened my hairs and wore a sleeves blue dress.
After getting ready, I came down. My mom was already there busy talking to someone on her phone call. She disconnected the call when she saw me.
"I'm ready", I said and she gave me a head to toe look.
"Aren't you a bit less dressed? You've not even done a proper makeup", she said.
"I like this way only. Let's go", I said and left the place and came out. Why would I do everything she wants from me?
Driver came and we both sat in the car and the car smoothly ran on the road.
"Where are we going?", I asked.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. We're going to Mrs. Janice Williams", mom said with a bright smile, a real one.
"Seems you're goo friends with her?", I asked.
"She's my best friend from school. We've spent a good time together in our teenage, but then we grow up and life happens and we got less time to spend together", she said and I nodded.
This is the first time that we've talked such a normal conversation. But still, we don't have love in our hearts for each other and this normal conversation won't change anything between us.
The car came to halt and when I stepped out of the car, my jaws touched the ground.
"Is this your friend's house?", I asked looking at my mom.
"Yes, I know she's freaking rich", my mom said thinking I'm amazed by the big house.
"It's Austin Williams house mom", I said.
"Oh, you know his son. That's good. You've got a company then, I won't have to worry about you", she said and then speed up her pace of walking.
Out of all the William's, why would she have to be friend with Austin's mom? And company with Austin would be the last thing I want!!
I hope I got Sara to kill the time. Jesus pay some mercy!!
