Carrie really didn't wanna wake up today she knew she was already gonna hate it but hearing James cry she had to get up she sigh and pulled the covers away " ill go " she heard Harrison say holding her arm
" you sure "
He nodded and got up walking into James bedroom he found his son standing his face covered in tears but stopped when his father came in " hey there champ whats up " he said lifting him up in his arms.
" mama " James said resting his head on his fathers shoulder, Harrison kissed his son's head and walked back to his bedroom " he wants you and i need to get dressed " he said handing James to Carrie
" i always hate it when you start to get dressed in that stupid uniform that you look so goddamn good in " she said feeling that lump in her throat she always had when he was making his bag and getting ready to leave.
She watched him move around the bedroom as she had fed James who was now playing with his toes. " you have everything " she asked in a sad voice
" yeah I think so "
" when do we leave "
He checked his watched then looked back at her as he sat down on the bed
" i have to be there in 3 hours "
" so we have to leave in an hour "
" yeah but i wanna have my last breakup first, Henry still sleeping "
" yeah but you can go wake him up "
He quickly made his way to Henry's bedroom to find his son fast asleep his feet on his pillow and his blanket all over his head he lifted to cover gently and could hear him snore lightly " Henry " he said whispering " wake up " he said again caressing his sons forehead and cheek.
" mmm " was all henry said as he turned around and his hand flew on Harrison's face " Henry you have to wake up i know I'm bothering you but I'm leaving and i wanna eat breakfast with you "
Slowly opening his eyes he blinked a few times and was met with his fathers eyes looking straight at him " why you leave " he said scratching his eyes while putting his hand on his fathers stubbly cheek
" lets talk about this later let's go eat first " he said pulling Henry from bed and holding him tight.
They were all sitting quietly eating there breakfast which was unusual cause either henry would start playing with his food or James would start throwing it around but today non of this happened " we drop you at the boat like always "
" yeah " he said checking his clock again the time was running way to fast and in 5 minutes they had to be on the road already he smiled at Carrie and she knew exactly what that meant they both got up Carrie took James from his chair and Henry followed his father upstairs he watched him close his bag and buttoning his shirt " daddy where you go "
" away for a while "
" can i go too "
" no sweetie not this time but ill bring you too Europe one day " he said picking henry up and grabbing his bags
" with mommy and jame "
" yeah we will go on a vacation and you'll play with your brother and have fun "
Henry only smiled and put his head on his fathers shoulder as they went down the stairs Carrie was waiting at the door holding James " ready to go " he asked her
" no I'm not but we can go " she said as Harrison looked behind him remembering how he was leaving the house toys scattered all around pillows thrown on the floor and even a squished cookie from James on the carpet.
Harrison was trying not to drive to fast as he could hear James sing something with no words that made him smile it had never been this hard to leave them " you ok " he heard Carrie ask next to him as her hand went on his thigh
" yeah Im fine " he said and could see the boat coming closer and closer as he parked near all the other cars. He got everything from the trunk and the 4 of them started walking towards the ramp of the boat where everyone stood to say goodbye he dropped his bag looking up at some people who were already aboard and turned around taking Carrie into a tight hug but not to tight not to hurt James
Henry was hugging his leg he kneeled down and hugged henry as tight as he could but not hurting him
" why you sad daddy " he asked seeing his father cry for the first time
" I'm gonna miss buddy I'm gonna miss all of you, i want you to promise me one thing henry "
" ok daddy "
" you help mommy you be nice to her you behave and help her with James and if you see her sad......you try and make it better, can you do that for me "
" i do that fo you daddy, but why "
" i have to go far away from here and I'm not gonna com back in a long time "
" how many sleep you no come back "
" allot of sleep "
" more then fwee "
" yes Henry "
Henry pouted and started to nod no with his head " no daddy " he said screaming " you no leave " and he started to cry
" im sorry henry but have too "
" no nice " he said shouting and hitting his father on the shoulder as he turned around and went to hide behind his mother
" Henry come here " Harrison pleaded but Henry didn't move he only nodded no
Harrison got back up and hugged Carrie again as they both cried " i swear you if something happens to you ill kill you " she said not being able to contain all her tears
" i promise everything will be alright " he said kissing her he then took James in his arm and kissed him " you be good to mommy ok James "
" dada "
" i love you James " he said kissing his head again and giving him back to Carrie
" i love you " he said kissing her again for a little longer, he knew it was gonna be difficult to turn around and start walking away from them but he had too
" love you Henry " he said towards Henry who still looked mad Harrison kissed him on the head took his bag and starts walking towards the boat he could hear Carrie talk to henry but couldn't make out what she was saying he had one foot on the ramp when he heard Henry scream after him he dropped his bag again turned around and saw Henry run as fast as he could toward him he catched him and hugged him tight " im sowy "
" its ok " he said looking back into his eyes
" i go miss you " henry said pouting again
" I'm gonna miss you too Henry "
" i ove you daddy " henry said as he started to cry again hugging his father Harrison couldn't help himself and started crying again
" i love you too henry " he said putting him back down and watched him run back to Carrie he turned back around and boarded when a few minutes later he stood there on top looking at them as henry waved goodbye he felt someone's hand on his shoulder he looked to his left and smiled seeing his friend " there yours " his friend Eric asked
" yeah, its nice to see you how long has it been "
" o just about two years, how old are they "
" henry almost three and James who just turned a year old "
" well two boys i have two girls congrats harry well see ya later im starved gonna check what we have, and harry don't worry they will be fine i know Its hard but its for the best " Eric said staring to walk down some stairs
" mommy " Henry asked as Carrie kneeled down next to him
" yeah sweetie "
" we go watch daddy leave "
" yes we will and he should leave now " she said as she watched the ramp disappear
" i go miss daddy " he said hugging her waist
" me too henry, me too "
Like she always did she watched the boat leave the port and waved at him until she couldn't see him anymore as difficult as it was this time it looked less difficult to watch him leave she had henry and James at home now so she had someone to talk to and they would keep her busy it was Harrison who it was the most difficult for now having to leave his family behind, she looked at Henry and smiled " lets go home " she said taking his hand and walking away " can we go fo ice cream mommy "
" sure yeah why not " she said smiling down at him
" and when daddy come back we all go eat ice cream " Henry said jumping around
