Martin met me at my locker after school,
the heat of the locker bay,
making everybody look and feel exhausted.
"Want to go to the cafe? You look like you need an eclair."
He smiled taking my bag out of my locker,
swinging it over his shoulder with his own,
before gripping my hand in his.
"Or we could stay here?"
He winked and we both let out a loose laugh,
before walking to the cafe.
He wanted me to eat,
setting challenges for how much I could eat,
and how little he could,
he wanted me to change,
because bones aren't pretty.
