It was only five more days until the Chuunin exams and Reira's nerves had been piling up one by one. She knew she wasn't ready. She didn't feel ready. She felt sick.

Rena and Ryu had been ignoring her for a week now, and Kyoya-sensei was never around, like usual.

She had tried to visit Takumi, but Ryu wouldn't let her leave the house without Konoha supervision. She hadn't left her room for a while and she was running low on sweet things to eat.

Ryu had started bunking with Rena, as another way of avoiding his sister. If the situation had been a little different then Reira was sure that she would make perverted comments about that situation.

Sadly, Ryu was as cold as ice towards her and Rena was like an iceberg.

Reira knew that their intentions were to guilt trip her, but sadly she was feeling anything but guilt.

Anyway, she was way to bored to be guilty.

She rolled onto her back as she boredly tossed her arms up in the air in exasperation.

She couldn't get over how bored she was. A day ago she had asked Ryu if she could go outside and play hopscotch or something, but he wouldn't have it and suggested she read a book or something.

Who would want to read in their free time?

Reading is for losers...

"Fuck your books," she muttered to herself as she looked over at the time. She just knew that boredom would be the death of her.

Not a ninja war. Not some death sentence in the Mist. Boredom would definitely do her in. She just knew it.

She rolled onto her stomach as an annoyed groan left her parted lips. She wanted to go outside. She wanted to run or something. She'd even accept Kyoya-sensei's harsh training.

She finally lifted herself up from the bed and rushed out the door. She made sure to be on the look out for any of her stupid teammates, but before she could even open the front door an inch a hand slammed it shut. She looked over at Ryu sheepishly, but only received a harsh stare in return.

"...And what are you doing?" He asked after a moment and Reira smiled at him sheepishly in return. This only made his scowl deepen.

"You can't be still mad at me. It's been a whole week. Let it go," Reira whined, and his eyes narrowed.

"No," he said simply.

"No?" Reira replied and he crossed his arms in a definite gesture.

"No." He repeated. Reira glanced down at his crossed arms and pouted, easily hiding her mischievous grin.

"Ryu," she said in sad tone as tears filled her eyes. "I'm sorry."

Her brother's eyes widened at the sudden tears and Reira took that chance to bolt out of the door. She contemplated going to the elevator, but the doors took too long to open so she bolted down the stairs.

"Reira!" Yelled her brother from behind her.

"Let's play hide and seek," Reira replied simply as she rushed out of the front lobby of the apartment and just as her feet hit grass and she finally saw fresh rain drizzling outside two arms wrapped around her waist and stopped her from moving any further.

"Stop being so annoying. All you ever do is cause trouble," her brother said in an emotionless voice as his arms tightened around her waist. It was raining outside, so she wasn't sure if the dampness on her shoulder was. "You're loud and stupid..." He whispered as he let go of her. "But I don't want to see my only sister executed in front of my eyes when we get back to the mist."

Reira was speechless. She didn't expect something as innocent as going outside would lead to a heart to heart with her twin brother.

They both jumped with the rain stopped hitting both of them as a round material covered both of their heads. Ryu looked over at the umbrella before glancing at the person holding it.

"We won't have to see it," Rena said simply. The rain began to dampen her hair as she refused to allow her teammates to get wet and sick. "We won't let you be executed."

"And I doubt our parents will accept that either," Ryu said as he sent Rena a smirk. The rain had dampened his hair quite a lot, and it was a rather good look for him. Rena shook this thought off right away.

"Does this mean you guys aren't mad at me anymore?" Reira asked and both of them sent her scathing glares.

"Fuck no dumbass," Rena snapped.

"Yeah. When we get home you're so grounded," Ryu snapped and this made Reira pout.

"Am I interrupting something?" Said a bitter and cold voice out of nowhere. Reira, Ryu, and Rena all looked at the source of the voice, only to see the familiar black hair of their Sensei. Reira gulped as fear crept into the back of her mind.

She had a right to be afraid of him.

Kyoya was one of the strongest Shinobi in the Mist. That was the only reason he had been assigned to guide a mission like this and a team like theirs.

It wasn't like the Mist picked a group at random. Three years ago this team was made to do this. They were trained for three years to do this.

Kirigakure didn't randomly decide to attack Konohagakure for land or dominance.

And Rena, Ryu, and Reira weren't assigned in the crossfire randomly.

"Kyoya-sensei," Reira quickly bowed and Kyoya raised an eyebrow before passing the three and walking into the apartment entrance. The three took this as an invitation and followed him inside.

They didn't talk. They hardly breathed. The way up was completely silent. As soon as they entered the privacy of their apartment the tension between everyone was already thick.

"What happened with Yuu Takumi and the death of Katsura Kieri?" Rena finally asked. Everyone was wondering, but this was the first time they'd seen Kyoya in about a week.

The man wasn't exactly social.

"It's taken care of," Kyoya said simply as he shrugged off his Leaf village pass.

Reira was almost afraid to ask, but she ended up asking anyway. "How was it taken care of?"

Kyoya scoffed to himself as he glanced at the brunette.

"According to the Leaf, it was Yuu Takumi who killed Katsura Kieri," Kyoya said simply. Reira's eyes widened as she covered her mouth.

Guilt began to fester in the back of her mind before she could get rid of it, but Kyoya didn't stop talking.

"He confessed to it himself. I must say," Kyoya continued with a slightly sadistic glint to his eyes, which was gone before any of them saw it. "I've outdone myself."

No one questioned it.

There was nothing Reira could do. She was truly helpless.

"You can't just sit alone in a dark room for the rest of your life, Rei-chan," Ryu said as he knocked on the door to his room, which Reira selfishly locked herself in.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up," Reira snapped from inside the room as she continued to curl in a ball and eat marshmallows.

"You're being childish," Ryu snapped and Reira popped another marshmallow into her mouth.

"Go away. Go away. Go away!" She ordered, and Ryu pressed his forehead up against the door.

"You have no reason to feel guilty. This village will become a war zone in the end. Why are you mad over one life in prison?" Ryu snapped and Reira shook her head and yelled out incoherent words from her pillow. "I can't understand what you are staying."

"I said go away!" She snapped as she opened the door wide to scream at him. It was a mistake because as soon as she was about to close it his foot stopped it.

"We really don't have time for your childish behavior Rei. It's getting old," Rena snapped from behind Ryu.

"So now I'm childish! What's next? Are you going to call me stupid too?" Reira retorted lamely.

"It takes a real genius to get -20 on their entrance exams to the ninja academy," Rena snapped and Reira's eyes narrowed.

"How was I supposed to know you couldn't take a test with crayon!"

"Shut up both of you," Ryu ordered and the two girls instantly shut up and glared at each other.

"She started it," Reira muttered under her breath, but that only earned her a scathing glare from the other girl.

"You have to meet up with all the other ninjas competing in the Third Exam in 20 minutes," Ryu said simply, and Reira sighed.

"Ever heard of being fashionably late?" Reira muttered under her breath. "Do I have to go?"

"Yes you have to go, stupid," Rena snapped.

"It will look bad on us if you don't go," Ryu said simply.

"You're just saying that because you don't have to go... Can I go in my pajamas?" Reira asked.

"Only if you want to... But you know," Rena slyly smiled. "Kazuya-san, Shisui-san, and Itachi-san will be there."

Reira scampered off in a heartbeat, making Ryu jump in surprise a bit as the door slammed behind her.

"It really is like living with a Chihuahua..." Ryu muttered to himself, and Rena nodded her head in agreement.

●▬Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ▬●

"This is just a quick informative session with all the participants for the Third exam. Kazuya Masahiro V.S Kaoru Shirohoshi, Ruka Manami V.S Ayumu Shimizu, Itachi Uchiha V.S Reira Kiseki, & Shisui Uchiha V.S Rena Ichidou," said the familiar face of Kaeru Aoi, the examiner from the last round. The woman still had fiery red hair and bright green slanted eyes. She still looked scary, especially with the pair of Anbu ninjas on each side of her. "Is everyone here?"

"Ruka Manami isn't here," Ayumu spoke up. Ayumu was rather pretty with her bright pink hair and her pale eyes. Her hair was shot and styled in a ponytail, which was styled to the side. It didn't take long to realize that she was a Leaf ninja. She naturally gave off that aura.

"No, no, no," said another voice out of nowhere. Everyone's eyes went over to the new girl who walked in. At first, all Reira glanced at were the girl's dark red boots, but slowly her eyes worked up to the girl's face. She had the prettiest red tinted eyes and her hair was the most unique shade of dirty blonde, which Reira had never seen before. "Ruka is definitely here."

Reira instantly disliked her for reasons she couldn't understand. The woman gave off an aura of craziness. That was the only way Reira could explain it.

It was weird. Reira had never disliked someone so quickly. She just naturally disliked this woman.

"Ruka Manami from Sunagakure," Aoi said with a sadistic smile.

"Yes mam," Ruka said as her eyes narrowed seductively as she pressed her hands together. The red gloves she wore blocked out the sound of the clap. "Ruka's so happy to be here." Rena rolled her eyes. She hated people who spoke in third person.

"Whatever, get in line," Aoi ordered and the girl happily did so as she stood next to Reira.

"Are you going to be Ruka's opponent?" Ruka asked Reira and the brunette forced a large grin to mirror the blond woman.

"No, that's Ayumu-chan," Reira replied.

"Hey, dumbasses! No talking when I'm talking," Aoi ordered and the chatter that ignited from the two instantly quieted.

"Ruka's very sorry," Ruka said with an apologetic bow and Aoi continued to explain the entire set of rules for the Third Exam.

Turns out, there were a lot of freaking rules.

After fifteen minutes Reira's head was going to explode. One might say that a fifteen-minute lecture wasn't so bad, but this was fifteen minutes of non-stop rules. They couldn't expect for anyone to remember that could they?

"Rule number 109," Aoi continued, and abruptly glared at Reira as the girl sat down on her butt in the middle of the line in the empty dirt arena.

Kazuya glanced at her and scoffed as he tried to hide his laughter. He'd known Aoi since they were children. Aoi hated when people laughed or ignored her lectures. Cute little princess was screwed.

"Ah, is my lecture boring you?" Aoi asked and Reira looked up with a bored expression.

"Yes," Reira answered simply, and Rena all but face palmed at her stupid teammate's disrespect.

"I apologize for my teammate's behavior," Rena said instantly as she bowed to the examiner.

"I can apologize for my own behavior," Reira said simply as she looked up over at the examiner. Rena's eyes abruptly narrowed at the girl. "I'm sorry, Aoi-chan." Aoi's eyes twitched at the horrific. "I'm sorry that your lecture was so long and boring that I had to sit down to get over how bored I was."

Kazuya snorted, but quickly covered his laughter.

His little princess was so screwed.

●▬Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ▬●

"I don't understand why she made such a big deal," Reira whined to herself as she rubbed her black eye.

"You're so stupid," Rena snapped in an annoyed tone.

"How'd it go?" Ryu asked, as he didn't look up from his spot from the couch. His eyes were glued to a book.

"You're sister is a dumbass," Rena snapped simply. Ryu turned a page of the book.

"Yeah," he answered boredly.
