There was a knock at the door, followed by the sound of the bell ringing. None of my brothers moved, so I took it upon myself to open the door
I twisted the key and opened up, to my surprise my oldest brother, Brandon, stood there, twirling his keys in his hand
"Surprise, loser" he hissed
I gulped "Nice to see you too.You havent changed"
He ruffled my hair and walked in, realising that the rest of us siblings were here
"Surprise guys" he showed off, sitting in the sofa where I was originally
"Hey brother" Elliott and Brandon high fived each other "What brings you here?"
"Heard mum had left for a break away so I thought I'd pay a visit" he glared at me
"I was sat there" I commented
Elliott punched my arm "Just sit on the floor or something!"
I sighed and sat on the floor in front of the telly, curling up in a ball and resting my head on my hand
"I should've come to the airport with you all" the eldest admitted "Truth is, I didn't really want to. Mums gone on so many holidays, I'm not too bothered anymore. That's the best thing since I moved out - I don't have to listen to her going on about all the holidays anymore. We all know the real reason she's always off away"
I frowned "Do we? I don't know the real reason"
The room fell silent, you could hear a pin drop
"Is there something I'm not supposed to know?" I joked, trying to make lighten the mood that had suddenly dipped
Elliott and Brandon looked at one another, trying to send mental messages
"We were going to tell you soon, I promise" Elliott began to explain "Mums met a new guy, he's from New York, that's where she is now, spending them with him. They've gone on a holiday to Toronto together. Mums building it up to her either moving over there or him coming here"
"W-why didn't she tell me?" I stammered
Luke put his hand on my shoulder "Don't worry kiddo, you'll always have us"
"Not really" I muttered "Brand's moved out, Ell will probs move out too and you'll both be off to uni next year"
"You'll be eighteen soon" Luke comforted
I stood up to face him "That....that doesn't make it any different. I've grown up with you guys always been around me"
"You can stay with me silly" Elliott laughed "I mean you might have your own place too, who knows? Or Mum might move back him with her new guy, Mark. We would never leave you"
Brandon put me in a headlock and ruffled my hair, then, just to annoy me, walked around the living room with him still gripping my neck
"Brands" I gasped, hitting his arm "You're hurting me"
He let go and I breathed for air, then he got two fingers and dug it in my side, causing me to jump
"OWWWWWW" I squealed, a bit too dramatically
"Drama queen" Corey laughed, coming over to me to copy Brandon
Before I knew it, Corey had me over his shoulder and was spinning round
"IM GONNA BE SICK" I screamed, hitting his back, I can be such a child sometimes
He let me down and I sat on the sofa trying to stop feeling like the room was spinning
"You're gonna get payback" I warned them
My four brothers burst into laughter
"Get real"
"No way"
"Like to see you try"
"Never gonna happen"
